I'm probably overthinking this... I've just started going to my office gym do you change in the locker room like at a normal gym? I ran into a coworker and it was a bit weird.
At the law firm I worked at DC I had a locker there and I would shower and change before work at the gym. Others did too, no biggie. Every once and a while this skanky secretary would come in in the morning and change and shower and she had not been working out, just never made it home the night before. She was always wearing serious hoochie lingerie under her sweats when she came in and that always raised a few eye brows. Remember the DC Madame? Turns our she was a fucking call girl! She was trying to take over the business and run it from our big law office! But changing at office gym, usually totally normal
I know this is random but it fits in with the whole changing at the gym thing. There is this one woman at my gym who walks around nude in the locker room. I only drop into the locker room to put my keys (and jacket when cold) in the locker and she always naked! She showers and then dries her hair naked. I go at the same time daily (at night) so I see her every time I go. Has anybody ever encountered this at the gym because it makes me super uncomfortable.
Phew! Ok I finally caught up on all the words Flooding ( I seriously almost cried over the ruined sentimental outfits. Missing pants :-w Found pants :-bd God what else...I feel all the appropriate feels, I assure you
Family drama alert. Last month DH, BIL and I all realized that other BIL had unfriended us all on FB. He's a drama queen anyway so no one cared to ask him why lol Turns out, he was pissed at his two brothers (who both have kids) because he texted them both "Happy Father's Day" and is pissed that they didn't respond the same to him. He doesn't have children. His fiance has a 14 year old son who and he has recently moved in with them. Ok so maybe a little hurt if he considers himself a father? But he unfriended without a word and worse still, I got caught up in it and had nothing to do with it.
Anyway, DH called his parents today to find out if they can come down on a particular day in October to watch the boys for us and they can't because guess who's getting married? And neither brother is invited. Over a Father's Day text. Ridiculous.
@itsStackie Right?? So absurd. And I'm pissed because he and DH were supposed to split the cost of the NFL Sunday ticket log on and now we have to get our own lol
Thanks for all the dry thoughts. I'm sorry your day has sucked too @workinit And, we also have had the garbage pickers coming through too. It's disgusting. My house smells. I'm glad it's at least cool enough to keep the windows open to try and air the place out. It's awful. @phishgirl29 Your pants gif story seriously made me giggle. Thanks for that
They've been together for a couple years. I'm not even really judging the whole considering himself a dad thing. From what I gather, he's not much of a father figure to the boy but I can admit that I'm not in their lives enough to know for sure. But who takes a (perceived) slight and writes off their siblings? If my brother did something to hurt me I would have words with him and tell him he hurt me because I'd want to hopefully FIX it. It find it completely bizarre that he has just walked away from them.
@asmallwonder - is that all that happened? It sounds like there's more to it. If he has been mad at them since June, how come they are just realizing it? Are they already not very close?
@lioness13 There definitely is more to the family dynamic but honestly nothing specific to them. He was married before and was very isolated from the family. He blames the ex and when he left her and proclaimed himself newly invested in relationship with his brothers, nephews and niece. He lived with my ILs for a while and was staying there when we visited last summer and he seemed to have a blast with Aiden. But he attends no get togethers or parties at our house (we live about 2 hours away but the ILs come down for that stuff). Now he has begun not visiting the ILs' house when he knows we will be there. He has pulled back to exactly how he was with the ex. DH and the other brother basically called bs on blaming the ex from the start but for the sake of keeping the peace, they accepted him at his word but he's obviously just never going to be involved.
We went there for July 4th week and the ILs had a cookout. He didn't come, claiming a kidney stone. The next day he told MIL he needed to "rest." FIL saw a picture of him mini golfing and asked me and DH if we'd seen it. That's when we realized we'd been unfriended. The other brother did ask him why and the Father's Day text story is exactly what dramatic brother said the issue was.
Tuesday nights are my favorite tv night. I love Married at First Sight and Born to Style! The one liners on Bawn to Stywe (love the NY accents too!) kill me!
I finally caught up and read all the words! Forgot how exhausting an amusement park is. But I got in over 10,000 steps today! Woo! And I also got a little sunburnt. Here is our selfie
@34blondie this lady is like 60 too! It's really gross. One time I walked in and she was sitting on the bench naked literally spread eagle messing around with her sneaker laces. I can't ever imagine just strutting around a gym locker room naked.
@ASmallWonder - what a jerk! I don't understand people that can treat their family like that for no reason.
I know! But to me, it really speaks to not really caring in the first place, like I said. I adore my brother and it would take a damn lot for me to walk away without a conversation. Like, abuse of me or my kids. A slight? A comment? I care too much to walk away without at least making the issue known but apparently, he doesn't.
I feel bad for my ILs because obviously they're kind of in the middle but it does tick me off that my MIL defended him for so long. When we were all kind of "meh" about his new view on family, she got really pissed. He's proving us right though.
Someone I'm FB friends with who isn't very smart just was ranting about something and wrote, "what a bunch of maroons" among several other grammatical errors. It is taking all my willpower not to comment and say something like, "yeah, screw them and their dumb friends magenta too." I don't know why I find the maroons trying so funny. Something about insulting someone's intelligence with a mistake is just hilarious to me.

I think the "maroon" thing is not unusual - it's an old Bugs Bunny joke.
@GraceInCA I think you are giving this guy far too much old timey credit. He's in his 20s and after talking to him several times in person I can assure you the maroon meant moron
Had a dream/nightmare that it was 4 years from now and I had just delivered twin girls...Catherine and Gemma...I'm not even British. I woke up in a sweat I was freaking out so bad.
I've been avoiding the sippy to bottle transition like the plaque. He's always drank water from a straw sippy but thrown it down with milk in it. This morning he chugged it all just had to wait for him to be ready. I can't wait to pack up the bottles ! \:D/
Let me just start with saying I'm not an animal person. It's not that I don't like animals, it's that I really don't want to care for anyone or anything else at this point in my life. I have ranted about people giving me house plants before so this should give you a sense of my feelings. This morning I saw from the kitchen window that a mouse was drowning in our pool and I went out in the pouring rain in my pajamas and saved it. So how does PETA get my award to me? Just wondering when I should expect it.
Love it @WasNotWas!!! That was my go-to outfit around that time too. We are totally each other's doppelganger.
I could tell it was my "dressy casual" outfit because of the creases in the capris, that meant they got washed, dried, folded, and left in the drawer until a special occasion
