I need to learn how to start my lawn mower. It's still growing in clumps under the tree in front of my house. I'm wondering how crazy my neighbors will think I am when I'm mowing my lawn wearing two kids?
It really annoys me that the title and description are one episode off for Say Yes to the Dress on Netflix...

OMG I fell into the Say Yes to the Dress spiral while on maternity leave - I actually miss those guys! ETA: Im currently in a Man Men spiral - half way through season 3. Loving it!
And that chick in the first season who sucked, what an ego!

We *kinda* made it to the Reds game today, for like 3 whole innings. I had her in the ergo and sweated my balls off. Poor bug. Can you imagine anything worse than drinking hot milk from a hot sweaty boob on a hella hot day?
No wonder she puked it up 15 minutes later. The total cry fest that ensued DID get us all a two hour nap though.
And she's already in bed.
WOOOOOOT.
GO REDS!!
I second this. Specifically number 17. Yayyy Kris.
Whoa hoa 17!! I love them all, but I love seeing Todd Fraiser up at bat! And his music is the best ever...approaching the plate to a little Frank Sinatra...just the icing on the cake for this gal!
I worked for the Bats (the triple A team under the Reds) when Todd was there. He is extra silly and fun, probably one of my favorite people when I was there. Chapman was with us at the time too. He slept with an intern, and she slept with 2 other players over he course of the summer too. She wasn't the classiest.
However, (this is in my total braggy voice) Negron is my favorite because we were prom king and queen together in high school and we were miserably stuck in Kentucky together the last 4 years... We moved back to California, and he got called up like 2 weeks later. Plus, he's kicking major ass!
Also, who mentioned Big Brother? I'm obsessed. This season is SO much better than last year! And this week... Oh man. I think I have gray hair. I also need to watch Food Network Star and see who won. And watch Game of Crowns and live vicariously through those crazy ladies... Sunday is my awesome tv night, obviously. I swear I have a life outside of watching reality tv!

Mine as well. I get her up, she throws up and passes back out. Then up again and throwing up again. And DD1s fever has needed constant tending to all day. So over today.

April 14 August Siggy Challenge- "This time last year.."
@poru, I am not sure about milestones. We waited until Chase could sit up from any position in the tub, and started off only one room away and talking to him. That was about a year ago.
Chase was born 4/23/2011

Whenever the baby wakes up at 1:30 I can NEVER fall back asleep.. Even though I am dead tired!!! Ugh.... It's now 3:15am, guess I'll just stay awake until he wakes up again ( which should be any minute)
Same boat, @Holljade .. Except it's not waking up with the baby I can't go back to sleep from. DH woke me up at 10 because he was bored and "not tired yet." Been up ever since. Um, I'm glad you missed me dude but really??!
Ugh that sucks! Sleep is so precious at this point.
I have to admit I usually stay awake if DH wants some extra time, too. We get so busy it's easy for me to forget we need attention from each other too!
@Bailey'sbride good luck today and ((hugs)) for you and anyone else going back to work.
I love it when Finn makes eye contact with me while we nurse. It usually ends up with him pulling off and talking to me only to shove his face into my boob to start nursing again. Rinse and then repeat, I love it.

I can't wait to move! I was up every two hours last night from either G wanting to eat or my dogs being incredibly noisy. I can't wait to have everyone in their own room and not be in my room.
Going back a bit, I love my Soma nursing bras, but I pulled one out the other day and the underwire was poking through on one side!! Can I just pop it in the sewing machine?
@Tasha575 this is also my last week. Students don't return until the 25th but I have to go in next week for meetings and classroom prep. I have been in denial about returning to school... I am not prepared in any way.
I challenged myself to get back into cooking by inviting two different couples over this week for dinner parties! One couple is vegan and the other isn't. Here's what I came up with so far for the menus:
Vegan:
Appetizer- Garlic rubbed, grilled bread with smoky white bean-rosemary puree
Main course- Zucchini, eggplant and tomato stacks (grilled) with basil pesto, arugula salad with potatoes and a lemon-garlic vinaigrette and grilled corn on the cob with lime salt.
Dessert- coconut milk almond chip ice cream topped with brown sugar grilled peaches
Non vegan: (it's a picnic!)
Appetizer- whipped feta/roasted red pepper/chipotle dip with pita and crudite
Main course- Chopped salad with black beans, spicy grilled chicken, roasted corn, tomatoes and peppers over romaine with a creamy cilantro dressing. Homemade guacamole and pico de gallo and homemade corn tortilla chips. Cilantro-lime quinoa.
Dessert- Grilled pineapple with honey-greek yogurt and crushed almonds
What do you think??? I'm suuuuuuuper excited to get back into the kitchen!!!!

Sounds amazing!
One thing -- pesto *typically* has parmesan cheese in it. Of course, IDK what your recipe is and I'm sure you can make it without.

I can completely relate!!
Oh god This morning I woke up with an American bulldog on either side of me Felt like I was in a carwash I was getting so many kisses
I work in a shared office with a woman who thinks it's appropriate to fart in it. Like noisy and really smelly. It. Is. Terrible. Haaaaalppppp!
I have heard about this happening on two separate occasions...apparently it's the thing to do? I may be old school here, but when did this become polite? Not just for women, but anyone. Is it too much for people to excuse themselves and go to the restroom? I mean really....
I agree. I brought in a plug-in and a fan for our office. I'm not sure how this is professional either. I get that there could be medical condition component, but then say excuse me to the office mates and bring in some spray yourself!!
Ugh...I feel your pain. At work the woman to the left of me farts and the guy to the right of me farts, belches, and eats noisily throughout the day. I so need to change jobs.

You are my new favorite person! That sounds like a lot of work, but I think it's so awesome that you are going through the trouble of making something that sounds so amazing for your friends. We usually get crudités and a salad and watch everyone else eat!
Does this woman acknowledge the fact that she's farting or is she just going to town over there thinking that nobody knows? Maybe she thinks people sit far enough away that they don't smell it. That is so gross, I can't handle belching but I don't want to smell your digested food out of your poophole. I mean, that's what that is. Maybe you should explain that to her. Lady, that's a poopy smell.
Re: farting...wth?! I'd leave a thing of Beano on her desk with a bow on it.
Thanks for the tip @poru! That recipe looks delicious- I love flank steak!!! I was going to do the pesto with basil, garlic, olive oil, toasted walnuts and a little avocado for creaminess. I compensate for the salt of the parm with a little lemon zest and a splash of olive brine. It sounds weird, but it works better than salt for some reason.

Genius. Also, I hope I didn't come across as a bitch when I mentioned the parm.
FFFC Two reasons why I'm a sucky person. 1. My daughter is starting school today at "the rich kids school" and is worried that the other kids are going to be snobby and won't be her friend because she's not rich. I tell her to just be herself and everyone will love her, but I bought her a pair of Michael Kors tennis shoes
OOps got cut off..because some of the other girls had them X_X (thank god they were on clearance) and 2. A friend that I had a falling out with had her baby a few days after mine and her mom posted a photo of them on Facebook and her baby is not really cute (has her moms old nose) and her formerly perfect body is bigger than mine. Made my day. So I'll wait till tomorrow to drop it down a peg or two, but I deserve this
