@stargazer763 you never know and everyone is different. I had zero issues or mood swings when I weaned with G. I just kinda quit no big deal. So there is hope that it could be easy peasey!
For the first time ever, everyone left our house from a pool party (the weather cooperated) by 2:30, our kids are both asleep, everything is mostly cleaned up and I am laying on my bed having a beer alone and it is heavenly. DH is downstairs with his friend jamming on banjos like hill billies and I don't even care about the noise because it hasn't woken the kids. Aside from the Deliverance soundtrack this is shaping up to be a pretty nice Sunday!
Benjamin is the best traveling baby ever!!! He cried for maybe 2 minutes all day! So much better than expected. I didn't even have to break out the puffs!
DH is really upset that when everyone was over today we didn't get a group shot of all 14 kids of his group of friends (the 10 guys have been close friends since they were 5). I feel bad but I also think it's really cute that he is so sentimental and upset that he didn't get a group kid picture. He's such a cute mush sometimes. Then G said he wanted to cast a spell and he said, "I am going to get rid of all the chokables in the den so Arlo will be safe!" And he did his magic spell hands and flourish. It was the most practical and thoughtful spell ever. These guys!
When am I going to learn that Sunday day drinking never turns out well for me? Packing lunches and bags for tomorrow seems impossible in this state. Stupid Mondays.

I am beyond excited for football season!!! Hall of fame game is on tonight and next week starts preseason!!!!!! Time to start preparing for my fantasy drafts!

I'm a bears fan woman! And we still have a house in Naperville so I don't need to pledge allegiance to the worst team in the nfl. Did you know the stadium now has a scoreboard the size of 2 747's (to keep the fans awake) and a pool??? Who thinks "I'm going to go for a swim, but I also want to be in proximity to professional football"???
We had a date night watching Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. It was great but a lady behind me wanted to narrate, and she was super dumb.... 'That monkey's mad!'
Question: we just adopted a little cat from our rescue organization. Her name there is/was Kai. Not really my style (other cats, past and present have been named Frodo, Samwise, Buckaroo, Fuggle, and Lola). What say ye, animal people of J13? Can you give a rescue a new name? Like, um, Pie? (trying to think of similar sound is all)
Never had a cat but I've renamed both of out adopted dogs...Chloe was Bambi and Brando was Hugo (even though I really liked Hugo)
I just wanted to say thank you and I freaking love all y'all!! I'm pretty sure without y'all's support and prayers I would be a wreck during deployments. Hands down y'all are the best group of ladies around.

Question: according to Kindle I'm 93% complete with this book. I could easily finish it in the next 30 min and be asleep by midnight. Go for it? Or leave it until tomorrow? (It should be noted that going for it involves another small glass of wine)
@steamboat123 I think two of your comments go together. I would just squat but I rarely wear high heels. Maybe the holding hands is for squatting drunky party girls wearing heels that would have more trouble balancing in a squat? And even back in the day I wouldn't have needed a friend to balance, but then again I am pretty amazing so I can't use that as a litmus.

@42Butterflies you know me, you really know me. I skip the vermouth and use three olives with a small splash of olive brine. Sometimes I add a cocktail onion and a little cocktail onion juice. Plus one on the no gin (unless YH likes gin). It would be fun to have some little dishes with different olives, onions, tiny pickles and caper berries for a martini bar. Plus ice in a bucket with tongs. Classy.
Last night I asked for a double Ketel one on the rocks, with olives, slightly dirty. A lot of bang for the buck and so good I had two.
I like my martinis dry so I swirl dry vermouth around in the chilled glass, pour it out, and then fill with chilled Vodka. That way there's just a hint of the vermouth. I like bleu cheese stuffed olives, and I like a twist of lemon or lime.
