I know there were a few of us who didn't like the taste of coconut water. I thought this article was going to say the only good reason to drink it is if you are shipwrecked.

I used to drink it only for major hangovers. Works just as well as pedialyte but less gross tasting. I mean the best cure is to wake and bake but coconut water worked well too. All this is back in the pre baby partying days... Haven't gotten that wasted for a loooong time now...
I need help. I need a more grownup wardrobe than what I currently have. I live in the cold and need more sweaters/cardigans. What are good places to shop that won't break the bank (since I spend all the monies on cute kids clothes)?
Ugh, I'm so frustrated with DH! He had a colonoscopy on Monday, and yes, prepping for it is no fun, but he basically did nothing all weekend, had the procedure Monday (all healthy) and then spent yesterday "recovering" playing computer games. All this time he also had poison ivy. This morning he decided he needed a dr to check out his poison ivy (it is pretty swollen) so he worked from home (on his computer). The dr prescribed a steroid cream that is pretty strong and basically LO shouldn't touch it. Well the poison ivy is all over his arm, so he feels like he can't pick up LO at all. Now his company's summer outing is tomorrow and he's just going to stay home instead of going.
OMG, dude!! Get out of my house! LO absolutely adores DH so to have him home but LO not be able to play with him is torture. Also it's messing with naps because LO doesn't want to leave daddy. We are going away next week and I will be with DH 24/7 for that too. I love him, but he is making me crazy.
@WasNotWas I have done some "shows" for DH before and it was good music but he had picked it and put it on and I have blocked it out because the whole thing makes me feel so dumb. I imagine I looked like Jamie Lee Curtis in True Lies when she falls during a strip tease.
Also the year I quit playing basketball. It was painfully obvious I was going to be a Varsity bench rider.
I took the baton for ya...state AAU champs 3 years in a row, starting variety 4 years and final four 6A (biggest A at the time) appearance damn I am Al Bundy
I just started doing little bunny foo foo with Benjamin, but I forgot what the fairy's threat was, so I said she'd turn him into a newt. My MIL let me finish the whole thing and then laughed and said it was a goon. Hare today, goon tomorrow....
I think I would try and do 'Suit and Tie' with a (duh) suit and tie and fedora.
I like the idea of props so Umbrella comes to mind too. But the words are so sweet it feels wrong to strip to. Because everyone is paying attention to lyrics when stripping obviously.
@smpeachey Ty's first bite this week was only told to me because they were putting on sunscreen and saw the full set of teeth mark on his arm...he also has been but twice this week
@smpeachey G got bit for the first time ever today- and he is 3.5 (weird behavior for prek). It didn't break the skin and I still got a full incident report that I had I sign. I asked him about school and he didn't even mention it so it couldn't have been that bad. Do they have reports at your DCP?
As far as I know, Benjamin hasn't been bitten yet. At least not by anyone other than himself. Sometimes when I leave him playing in his crib in the morning, he'll chew up his own arm. I hope they would tell me if he bit someone else!
@smpeachey - We've had a couple bites that have gone unreported. The vast majority have had proper incident reports though. One was under his clothes, so I guess I could see how they wouldnt' notice if he didn't make a big fuss about it. The second was at the end of a week of a lot of bites, so he was already covered in a bunch of bite marks. *sigh*
I've just brought it up the next day, and have not been too concerned about it.
So I went to my undergrad today to drop off my PhD defense announcement to one of my old professors. I had to borrow a pen from a neighboring professor's office (new since I went there) - he told me I could keep it because he probably picked it up around campus and it was "probably mine anyway". Ha!! Nice to know that nearly a decade out of undergrad I could still pass as one?
@wasnotwas porn star dancing by my darkest days would be my choice lol. When I was paiting my bedroom it came on while I was on the ladder and nearly fell off trying to be sexy. What makes it worse was I was alone, yep totally did a dance for myself
Biting is so hard. Quinn hasn't been bitten (yet?) but we actually pulled Aiden from a place over biting. I was fine the first few times, got the incident reports, etc. But then he came home with a full mouth mark and they hadn't said anything. He was about 16 months old and cried at the slightest injustice or injury so I was surprised they didn't know it had happened. Then it happened again. And again. And there were only 5 kids in the class and I knew it was the same kid over and over and and they were not addressing it well enough or making plans to stop it.
I'm seriously considering faking being sick soon so I can get some down time. I am way too healthy obviously and DH keeps getting colds or generally under the weather every few weeks. He may be sick, but all I can see is him getting to sleep in, be off night duty and look for a pass on picking up after himself. I want to be sick dammit!
My friend's sister and I were at a cookout a couple weeks ago and Q had his bathing suit on (that's this picture) and her son was just in awe of him (he's about 2). She just messaged me that her son keeps asking her for "tiger baby" so she keeps showing him the picture and he breaks out in a grin :-p
Also, Jameson has been taking a few independent steps here and there but nothing consistent, until today when he walked across the whole front room like it was nothing! He did it right I front of my hubby and I. I'm so glad my hubby was home for this milestone and was able to see it in person.
Some lady I work with, that I don't even know, approached me and asked if I had finished breastfeeding. Then stared at my chest, touched her own and said, "I can tell". What the hell does that even mean, woman?

I think 1993 is the year I made it a priority to memorize the words to Scenario. 7th grade for me.
