I'm so sick of living in nursing tanks bht everything else is so damn inconvenient when you pump 6 + times a day I can't imagine how much of a pain it would be to actually breast feed with a normal top on
Also I held out for two days but caved today and baked cookies
Am never ever going to lose the baby weight
There's an etsy shop called Modern Mummy Maternity that has some cute nursing clothes, and they are easy to nurse in even with a nursing bra under them. This one is my favorite: https://www.etsy.com/listing/159518051/mika-maternity-clothes-nursing-top?ref=listing-22
Holy cow, people's freezer stashes?!! I thought I had a decent stash, around 55 oz. I am building/maintaining mine for the rare occasions that I need babysitters.
I may have just started a FB war. But I was right. So it's all that maters. Call me out before you check your facts? Bad move.
Anything good?
I belong to a local moms group. So one mom asked how to store pumped milk. Someone answered before me. I agreed with her answer, except one thing. She said that it was ok to add new pumped milk into already chilled milk. I stated in my post it should be the same temp before combining. This chick wrote back a nasty post calling me out. That I needed to post facts not opinions. But obviously she doesn't know FB emails you follow up posts. QFP b***. So I posted my reference for her. Now she has removed all of her comments. I'm not removing mine.
OMG people stop changing screen names. I have nofuckingclue who anyone is anymore. Besides swerb.
Now I wish I was as popular as swerb
Well the two names are pretty similar so it's easy to draw a logical connection.
I'm sorry. ( I've seriously considered changing my name back since the only reason I did was because it had my last name in it. Although I don't know why I decided to do that NOW instead of in the beginning when all the crazies were still around. Kind of defeats the purpose. And I'm still irritated that it lowercased everything. :-w
This is SLSchuerg, by the way. :-h

@edoliesmom your profile pic is pretty recognize able. I confuse ones that are of babies unless I can see the name
Okay good. Yes, the ones that have changed their pics to babies all blur together in my mind... So if you've changed your name AND picture, I probably don't know who you are either.

I know!!! These people are amazing. So are you! I have a whopping 4 oz in the freezer. Go me.

I think I could have more if I pumped more often/consistently. I'm also trying to get some more because my GF who had twins three days before me, is not making enough. They've been buying it from a bank, but sometimes the bank cannot supply it and she asked me if I would be willing to sell some. Of course I told her she can get it from me for free. She said she'd contact me if and when she needs it, but I haven't heard from her yet.

Did you change avatars too? That really messes with my head. I didn't realize you weren't someone new until I checked your post history and saw the ETA!
I changed my avatar a long time ago! I didn't realize a switch would be so confusing. Oops.
So many randoms. I'm rocking my name in my screenname, no changing here. Stalk me, bitches.
Showers aren't as much of a luxury as I thought they would be, my DH is enough help that I haven't missed a shower since Sul was born. But the length and quality of shower? Omg. A long, screaming hot shower is such a thing of beauty.
DH is currently watching instructional accordion videos on YouTube, in bed. We don't own an accordion. I can't decide if this is adorable or infuriating.
@mom2boxers dd had a cough with no fever and ended up on meds for an ear infection. She was so congested though. May be worth a call to the nurse's triage line.
I talked earlier about how my SIL is having her baby boy tomorrow. Would you take your baby up there? Considering it's all separated from the rest of the hospital, I don't think it would be that risky. You never know what visitors might have that could be picked up from the waiting room though. Just wondering if I'm overlooking any factors that could alter my decision...

I would wait until baby makes an appearance. Then there is no waiting room. Just straight into the same room as babe and mom.

I can't decide if I am dealing with thrush or if my nips hurt from DD nursing longer than normal (5-6 minutes to over 10 mins) for the last week. Any telltale signs?
Second the white. Also, does it feel not just sore, but like lightning radiating from your nips? That's what it feels like for me.

Most hospitals won't allow kids under 12 who aren't siblings. Also, it wouldn't be right to potentially expose newborns to germs that your little one might be carrying even if baby isn't sick. I definitely wouldn't.

This one will allow it, my SIL doesn't mind if she's there, and the babies won't be in actual contact with each other anyway.

I guess if the hospital isn't concerned and she isn't then I would just try to make sure that your little one isn't around all the other newborns - I am not particularly germaphobic, but the possibility of exposing brand new babies without even the benefit of colostrum/BM yet would be my only concern in the situation.
I kind of want to start a baby blog, something like "The World: A Baby's Perspective". I'd take pics from a "baby" and post them with captions from my kid. Things like the ceiling fan ("my best friend!", the back end of the cat as she zooms by ("what is this thing?!"), a shot from tummy time perspective ("why does mama make me do this?"), etc.
Clearly I have too much time on my hands. Or it's the sleep deprivation piling up. If we're in leap 3, then leap 3 can kiss my ass.

The Honest Toddler and innocent infant already exist.
Lo is really playing me tonight. Sounded awake on the monitor 3 times (only have audio), but wasn't actually awake until I was almost asleep. Fed him and he falls immediately back to sleep, but every time I put him down he wakes up (4 times). After an hour of this I gave him to DH. I'm sure he will complain in a few hours, but I couldn't take it. Between not going down for naps and this I'm at my wits end.
Ugh. Not that losing/wasting formula is as tragic as losing/wasting breastmilk, but I most definitely just dumped 5oz worth of powder all over my bedroom floor because I am sleepy and clumsy. Dangit. What a mess. That shit is expensive, Jessie, get your poop in a group.
B is 3 months+3 days. She can't possibly be teething can she? Even though all signs point to teething.
It's not common but not unheard of.
Merriwether has started. Doc noticed bumps in her gums when we went to her two month appointment. He said they'll probably go up and down, up and down. But yeah, she's got the symptoms: drooling, gnawing on her woober/my nipple, slight occasional fever...
Catching up on 6 pages worth, apparently moving is time-consuming :P
Whoops, @mamrotu73, apparently I can't think first thing in the morning :-P I was thinking of @Mamamonzo - you're in GR right? Ever go to Rivertown Mall?

My little one was super cranky and I realized he has a sharp corner poking through! He's a preemie so he's a bit behind on most milestones but apparently not this one
@edoliesmom I would bring the baby if the hospital and your SIL were okay with it. When DS was born some friends came to visit and asked if they could bring their 5 month old. It wasn't a problem. It's not like the babies will be touching each other or anything.

Good for you @thomas930, that's awesome
Congrats @edoliesmom, nephews are so much fun!
I don't mind the screen name changes, cuz I usually can't keep track of who's who anyways (see above for proof).
Big hugs to moms with non-sleeping babies! I'm transitioning DD to the non-napper part of the PNP tonight. We'll see how this goes...
