Really getting used to this baby wearing business. I wore LO during my sister's lobster boil last night, and again this morning during our trip to Target. I find it works best for us while out shopping/hanging out with friends, or if I really need to get housework done (that doesn't involve bending over). I love my Boba wrap
Sex and the city movie when Steve and Miranda have to meet in the middle of the Brooklyn bridge if they want to be together.. I am sobbing over here! Wtf?

Hangovers are so not cool when you can't just lay around sleep and eat it off... I keep trying to convince LO he wants to take a nap.. But he just wants to party

Am I the only one who doesn't use the buckles for my swing or RnP? I realize they are there for a reason but I'm too lazy to buckle her in every time since she in and out of them all day.........
DD is napping and I have a million things to do. Instead I'm just letting her nap on me while I bump. We both have colds so I think a little snuggle time is totally called for

My little guy is 8wks. I definitely do not love nursing. I am sticking with it because I am (1) stubborn and (2) cheap, but I cannot wait until the day comes when my boobs and/or nipples do not feel uncomfortable or in pain for one reason or another. Sigh. Maybe in 2 weeks I'll change my tune? One can hope. I'm also hoping the pumping at work will give my nipples enough of a break that I just might start to love the evening breast feeding. We shall see...
I find I love nursing more than I thought too. I think what I love most about it is that when DS is freaking out and I can't figure out why, I can just put him on the boob and that will work 95% of the time. I'm so glad I stuck with it during the tough phase for that reason alone.

*this* It still isn't totally pain free at 11 weeks, but I love that I always have a failsafe when LO is upset. I feel like moms who feed with bottles must, in a way, be better at parenting since they can't (I don't think?) just feed whenever LO is fussy and have to go about other ways of soothing.
I love just having that sweet cuddle time, too

@dani+california a little gross but last time I licked the tampon before I inserted so it was moist. An RN can weigh in on whether that's sanitary
Bahaha amazing! My issue, and I tried twice before freaking out and giving up, was that it wouldn't stay in. Cue me crying to DH that I'm now like parking a bicycle in an airplane hangar.
I prefer the imagery of "throwing a hot dog down a hallway." ;-) But regardless, it'll get better. KEGELS!

Skipping a lot of posts to say hello! I bought stuff today! Upgrading all the stuff that has broken since we married eight years ago. Which meant babysitter! Josie's second! And I may have had a little bit of wine...

I'm really grateful that my son isn't (usually) pissed off by the boogie squeezer. He wakes up puking and sputtering through his nose, I wipe him up and boogie squeeze the vom out of his nose, he snuggles me and is back to sleep in less than ten minutes. No melt down. Way to be chill, kid.
Screw transitioning baby to her nursery. Between her grunting and wiggling and DH's snoring, I can't sleep. I think I might transition myself to the nursery.
@spano41 we only use the buckles on the mamaroo because she's come close to kicking herself right off of it! But the RNP? why in the hell does it even have buckles? If she got herself out of that we'd have a future Olympic gymnast on our hands. Or future Chuck Norris. Either way.
I use the buckles because if I didn't she'll kick herself to the bottom where she'll be chin-to-chest.

pumping at work definitely helped me enjoy breast feeding at home more @rockstarlaw hopefully it does for you too! He was 3 months on Friday but I've been back at work since he was 8 weeks and I've enjoyed it for awhile now.
Bumping in bed while my LO stares at the iPad. Mom of the year!

aha! That makes sense. DD is pretty long so she's fine being in the bottom.
We just had to start using the buckles this week in the swing. I had left the room for 30s and she had wiggled to the bottom and her legs were off the end almost to her hips.
AWing my new summer-weight ring sling! Single layer linen, with accent fabric at the rings and making pockets on the tail. Finished it last night, testing it out today!
@poru If I understand what you were talking about, then I had a similar problem that was noted at my 6 weeks pp visit. My OB cut the little piece of skin off. She told me that sometimes a small piece of vaginal tissue gets sewn on the outside instead of the inside. If that's not what you're describing then I am very sorry for the visual.
@Leeroy80 I'm also 10 weeks pp and we haven't even attempted yet. I thought it would be okay, but I've been having weird vag pain for no reason the last few days, so now I'm super nervous. Things are definitely different.

What were the dimensions of the linen? I need a summer one
Two yards, width trimmed down to about 33 inches. I'm short though, if you're tall you might want it a bit longer.
We didn't DTD until over 12 weeks pp and it was fine. At first I was so tense that it was uncomfortable but we took a break, started over and then it was actually good.
So I went and took a shower. Came back out sat on the couch and DH is giggling to himself. The giggling started to make me mad, since he wasn't telling me why he was laughing. I was starting to get seriously annoyed, so I picked up the iPhone to bump. When I unlocked it I figured out why DH was laughing. Moral of the story don't leave your phone alone with DH because when you come back they'll be a penis on it!
I guess we need to watch WSS because now I'm totally confused. Not sure how it could be related to Sweeney Tod... Is there a godfather I'll cut up up and make you into a pie element?
@celticlullaby - good explanation. I understand & can agree with that. Sometimes BFing is a major pain in the tit, if you will, but there are elements of it that do make me feel awesome - like the fact that my little dude is becoming a chunk. All on my milk. And when he smiles at me while he's eating or when I can calm him down by nursing, I do love that. But it still hurts sometimes (aches is probably a better word) and I still struggle with engorgement & for some reason recently started leaking a lot more (WTH??), so it's certainly not all rainbows & unicorns over here!
And I will admit I do look forward to someday having my body "back" - or at least not being a milk cow (nutrition center as SO likes to call me)
