Went to get my mirena in today and my NP couldn't get it in. Said my uterus was too small... I mean I just had a baby 3 months ago it can't be that small! Then she goes I don't want to force it and poke a hole in your uterus. Like what the actual fuck? I've been seeing her for years and years and my moms sees her too. She's legit but comme on. I was like um is something wrong with me? And she's like no we will just have you come back next week to have a ultrasound of your uterus and get measurements. Now I'm uncomfortable.. Does anyone has the arm bc? Implanon or something?

My dr told me that my uterus was almost too small for it too (not too small for an 8lb baby apparently). Kinda makes me worried that he risked it. But it's good that she is taking extra precautions!

  • So ticked. A college "friend" is getting married in September. She msgs me today asking me if I was coming. The wedding is in nj, I live in OK. I told her I was sorry but we couldn't, especially because we had no one to watch the kid out there. Then I stupidly said if I wasn't bf I would've came by myself. She replied "I thought you stopped bc she wasn't getting enough food. And why can't you pump?" First off, why is it any of your business how I feed my kid? Second, I would need at the minimum of two days of pumped milk. Not an easy task. And third it would cost me $1,000 to get a plane ticket, rent a car and get a hotel room I don't have that. (And if I did, I would be spending on her wedding) I explained it to her and got no response. But she posted a status that she was "frustrated". Seriously?! I can't wait till you have a kid. Then we'll talk.
  • @dani+california‌ I had never heard of a RNP either and I'm a STM in Ca!

@KendraColeslaw‌ sounds like my type of show. Occasionally I wish we had cable. I'd also like to watch True blood before next year. Sigh.

When I was 18 I had a lot of menstraul problems so the OB sent me for tests, labs and an US. After the US in her office she kept asking me strange questions: how many times have you been pregnant, how many kids do you have? How many abortions? How many miscarriages? She went on and on asking me the same question as many different ways as she could. Finally I asked her what was wrong since the answer at the time was none and no to everything. She said my uterus was the size of a woman's' that's had 12 kids. She also said I had one of the worst cases of endo and PCOS she'd ever seen and I'd never have kids by any means other than adoption.
  • We have our big independence day celebration tonight where I live. We have an annual professional firework show of a city lit mountain.
    Why on the 3rd?

We go so hard we have to do holidays for atleast two days.

  • It's like my dogs are trying to get me to kill them. One dog woke G up at 3 by barking and the 2nd dog woke G up at 539 because he needed to go outside.

  • @aviola329‌ haha! Well that's exactly what I want to know! Did it hurt going in really bad? Did it affect your supply at all?
  • @rtv3‌ Do you have her propped up? If not, that might help... My baby girl sleeps in a RnP, but I put a few blankets underneath her head and back (only made a few inch difference) when she had a cold. It really helped.

Thanks for the tip :-) The napper she's in is on an incline, I'm not sure if I could incline it more. Did you put the blankets directly underneath her? Or was there a fitted sheet between her and the blankets? Thanks!

  • Independence Day must have cycled off Netflix because I watched it when we were pregnant

@rtv3‌ I just put them directly underneath her. They were some of her swaddle blankets and were folded up small enough that I wasn't worried about the excess coming from the side. And since she was laying on them I knew they wouldn't move. Hope that helps!

  • After months of seeing everyone here talk about RNPs, I googled what it was. I figured it was some kind of bed thingie. I have never seen nor heard of an RNP before this board. What a funny little thing! Smart though. I wonder if this is a Canadian thing or I'm just clueless...hmmm

i am never going to lose weight if I keep baking. And eating it .
I made a layered banana cake with cream cheese frosting .

  • @aviola329‌ thank you so much for the info!
  • It's been 8 hours since I last pumped. Fuuuck I feel like this

Worried that will happen tonight. I was thinking of taking a bottle to this party instead of nursing but I may regret that...

Why do I have the dumb? Ordered a six-pack of Kawaii MF inserts to slap in our Flip covers, not realizing that 100% MF means... 100%. As in, unfriendly to baby skin 100%. Now I have to put in effort (wah) and sew a baby butt friendly fabric on one side.

On the bright side you'll have some seriously nice inserts when you're done!
  • @vinny424 I used to listen them in high school, but haven't in forever. That whole twitter rant was insane.
  • Jealous of this GTG that I'm not invited to! My FFFC is that I have a creepy curiosity about what @aprilmay9 is like in real life since I thought she was kind of... I don't even know... back in the early months, but I feel like she's a totally different person now. I kinda want to meet her and see her face and learn her baby's name since she's another faceless person on here like I am. Screw your baby shower! The penguins and turtles are a far superior option!
Uhm you should totally come if you're free! I'll pm you the deets!
