So ticked. A college "friend" is getting married in September. She msgs me today asking me if I was coming. The wedding is in nj, I live in OK. I told her I was sorry but we couldn't, especially because we had no one to watch the kid out there.Then I stupidly said if I wasn't bf I would've came by myself. She replied "I thought you stopped bc she wasn't getting enough food. And why can't you pump?" First off, why is it any of your business how I feed my kid? Second, I would need at the minimum of two days of pumped milk. Not an easy task. And third it would cost me $1,000 to get a plane ticket, rent a car and get a hotel room I don't have that. (And if I did, I would be spending on her wedding) I explained it to her and got no response. But she posted a status that she was "frustrated". Seriously?! I can't wait till you have a kid. Then we'll talk.

@KendraColeslaw‌ sounds like my type of show. Occasionally I wish we had cable. I'd also like to watch True blood before next year. Sigh.

When I was 18 I had a lot of menstraul problems so the OB sent me for tests, labs and an US. After the US in her office she kept asking me strange questions: how many times have you been pregnant, how many kids do you have? How many abortions? How many miscarriages? She went on and on asking me the same question as many different ways as she could. Finally I asked her what was wrong since the answer at the time was none and no to everything. She said my uterus was the size of a woman's' that's had 12 kids. She also said I had one of the worst cases of endo and PCOS she'd ever seen and I'd never have kids by any means other than adoption.

@aviola329‌ haha! Well that's exactly what I want to know! Did it hurt going in really bad? Did it affect your supply at all?

@rtv3‌ Do you have her propped up? If not, that might help... My baby girl sleeps in a RnP, but I put a few blankets underneath her head and back (only made a few inch difference) when she had a cold. It really helped.

Thanks for the tip :-) The napper she's in is on an incline, I'm not sure if I could incline it more. Did you put the blankets directly underneath her? Or was there a fitted sheet between her and the blankets? Thanks!

T+p+hugs to those mourning a loss today or this week...it seems like there are quite a few on this board. 

It's rainy and crappy in Boston today, so we'll be snuggled up on the couch watching Netflix all day. 

Upside: yesterday was the fireworks display and we have a perfect view from our front porch! LO went down easily and we sat outside with a few beers and watched the show. It was quite a nice night.

@rtv3‌ I just put them directly underneath her. They were some of her swaddle blankets and were folded up small enough that I wasn't worried about the excess coming from the side. And since she was laying on them I knew they wouldn't move. Hope that helps!

Dani, I had a dream that you starred in a Canadian kids show. You were married with two kids (boy and a girl), and they were like 8 and 10. You were at an event and were looking around for your husband. He showed up after the event started. He was cheating on you. I'm sorry. I don't know why this was a kids show.

In other news, A-game's other Nana (my mom) will be here from Colorado in about 5 hours. I haven't seen her since I moved here 7 years ago. So excited!! \:D/

Count me in on the mourning the loss of my first this week. I miscarried at the end of last June. I remember that by the 4th of July I was starting to feel a little more normal again.

Happy 4th from me and the little guy! So thankful to have him.

We have an annual monument of flags called the field of honor. There are over 1000 flags placed in remembrance. This is DD near our family flags.

Am all for me being top mess anywhere. I took my girls for a walk to the weekly st fair and on our way home saw a topless man walking about. I threw up in my mouth a little, both his front and back boobs were bigger than mine. There's no way mine are offensive and his aren't!

i had never heard of a rock and play before The Bump either. 

i am never going to lose weight if I keep baking. And eating it . 

I made a layered banana cake with cream cheese frosting . 

then I made chewy milk chocolate chip cookies

and homemade burgers.

Ohhhhh yes. DH took LO to a 4th of July "BBQ" of one of his co-workers that is being held indoors thanks to this tropical storm rain deluge nonsense. No thanks! A few glorious hours to myself in which I shall marinate in the bathtub, drink a vodka tonic and watch Doctor Who! 

Tomorrow, on to the glorious land to the North- New Hampshire! I will snooze on a pontoon boat, have wine spritzers with my Mama and Grandma and expose LO to fresh mountain air for the very first time. Poor city baby

And don't get me started about next week when I have a lady date with @aprilmay9 and @vinny424!! It's also my birthday week, so I'm hoping that our day will involve ice cream in celebration!

What are you all up to today? Hopefully it is way nicer weather than it is here and you're outside enjoying a burger and a beer! Happy 4th!

My FFFC is that I have a creepy curiosity about what @aprilmay9 is like in real life since I thought she was kind of... I don't even know... back in the early months, but I feel like she's a totally different person now. I kinda want to meet her and see her face and learn her baby's name since she's another faceless person on here like I am.

Screw your baby shower! The penguins and turtles are a far superior option!
