Got my official all clear for all things. Always nice to hear that the incision looks fantastic though. I have such major hang ups over the damn incisions and stressing that something is wrong with them.
Question: during a repeat c section do they make a fresh incision. So you then have 2 scars?
I love that DH sings to Aiden to try and calm him down, but man the songs he knows crack me up. This kid is going to know the theme songs to Indiana Jones and Snoopy, and a few lines to Bipity, Bopity, Boo before anything else!

Yes. I can tell that they mostly tried to cut in the same place, but it's not exact so most of it is 2 scars.
FFTC I think scars are cool and if I had had a c/s I would have loved my scar.
I'm torn... I want it to be my favorite scar because it came with a good story and awesome ending. But, I can't show it off while telling said story.
And my chopped-off-and-reattached pinky scar has been my fave for the majority of my life, it's hard to push it down to #2.
Details. I need details of this pinky story. (I'm not crazy I promise, it's just that MIL cut off a finger with a table saw and had it reattached so I'm curious! She cut hers off because DH was playing nearby and threw his stuffed bunny and it got caught in the ceiling so he screamed...)
@pineconey can you take a shower with him? I had one of those days where Aiden refused to be put down so I just dragged his bathtub into the shower with me and the water helped keep him calm when I couldn't hold him.
I don't feel safe getting in and out of the shower with him without DH to help
Can you put his bath tub in the shower on the floor?
I can try... Afraid he will get sprayed in the face. Our shower isn't very big.
That's what I did, and we have a smallish shower too. I'm sure LO got water in his face, but it didn't seem to phase him at all. FX you can find something that works!
@pineconey I'm with you on the clingy baby. Liam won't stop screaming unless I'm holding him today. I made the mistake of trying to put him down when he fell asleep. You would have thought I was torturing him. So I'm camped out on the couch watching Netflix with him sleeping on me. I'm afraid to move.
That was our day yesterday and then about 7pm, she snapped out of it and all was good again.
A Disney movie isn't a "kid's movie" if there are real people in it, right? Because "101 Dalmatians" is totally happening over here while I pump/do laundry!!
Ugh. Having a terrible few days. It seems like all of a sudden DD can't get satisfied from me. She's been wailing non stop and it's making me so stressed out. It's not helping that we are visiting my mil and she keeps telling me how she thinks dd isn't getting enough. And the kid hasn't slept longer than 90 minutes in two days.
FFC: I have not scrubbed my C section incision. I can barely bring myself to look at it. I insanely think I will rip it open if I scrub it, so I wash around it in the hopes the soap running over it in the shower is enough. Is all of this skin glue supposed to be off by your 6 wk PP appointment though? I still have some on there. No surprise, I am scared to rub it/pull it off. I hope that's not gross.

My dr gave me alcohol swabs to get the glue off. I am still careful around mine. I shave and wash over it but not with the same pressure as the rest if me.

You have a baby in the house. Anything goes lol
Psh, I will unashamedly admit that I watched Disney movies all the time before I was ever pregnant. They're some of my favorite movies.

And it keeps getting better. Just got an email from my boss that I have to go back to work on the 1st not the 7th like I planned. I just lost a whole week with my kid.

The 1st is the end of my FMLA. My boss had told me I could start on the Monday (the 7th) because of the holiday. HR says no, if I don't start on the 1st I'll be fired. I'm just so upset.
AW: I finally got around to making my DIY wubbanubs. Black Lab, Otter, and Koala. The ribbons are sewn on the beanie babies, but tied to the pacifiers so I can wash and replace them.

I used the wrong you're sorry grammar peeps!
That stinks I'm so sorry!! Trying to grind a bright side: at least they told you and didn't just let it go and then fire you!
WWRTTD? I met with my boss today and one of our clients needs someone to start on some projects July 1 and they specifically requested me. I wasn't planning to go back to work until August 18th. If I go with the July client, then it's a 1-year contract for someone I get along with really well, and she's really flexible with my time. The August contract not as much. She agreed to let me do 15-20 hours/week from home until August 18th, but I'm not sure if I'm ready to give all this up yet:

I would take the July job, sounds like they would be more understanding about everything so you might have some flexibility! Plus I you go back to something you enjoy it may make the transition easier!

@fireflygirl12 - personally, for a guaranteed year contract with a client I really liked, I would probably go back for the long-term guarantee. But a) I've worked for some really shitty clients before and know how bad that sucks - so a guaranteed good long term assignment would mean a lot to me; and b) I've never left my baby to go back to work before so I don't really know how hard it will be. I may have a different answer when I go back in a few weeks!
AWing my good hair genetics. Not only has she lost none of what she was born with, but when she was born her hair was curling around the top of her ears. Here's where it is eight weeks later:
@poru I hear ya on the cat. I'm at my wits end with one of my dogs. Without failure he wakes the baby up by barking when he's the hardest to get to sleep. I am trying so hard not to be mean to him because it's not like he's doing it on purpose but it is so annoying!
Skipping a thousand posts since we've been on the road!
We made it to PA fine... barely. The car is currently in the shop. The transmission is blown. A ten THOUSAND dollar repair, which should be covered by warranty but long story short there are complications which resulted in an argument between the dealer here and the dealer back home. We had to get corporate involved yesterday and I really don't think that they will sort out who is paying, order parts, and get the repair done before we have to head home next week. Hurray. Oh, and did I mention they aren't obligated to provide a rental? The last few days have been nuts.
