@deidremaria‌ your son got exactly the right mommy. You're doing an amazing job, don't let your mind play those tricks on you. True, your babe didn't ask to be here, but you are taking great care of him, and he is blessed to have you for a mother.
you're sweet... thanks I know I should be kinder to myself but it's so hard
Do you do affirmations? They feel silly, but they can help you rewrite the script in your head. Look at yourself in the mirror and repeat: "I am a good mother. I am enough." Affirmations can help replace the untrue, damaging thoughts with true, positive ones.
I've never done this but I will start. I am definitely gonna keep you posted on how it goes

  • So apparently the huge thunderstorm we got overnight was very good for my flowers and grass, but not good for my garage door and uverse service. Uverse can't send anyone until between 4 and 8, which we all know means closer to 8. And I'm stuck in the house because I can't get the garage door open. (Pissed at DH who was able to get it manually open so he could leave for work but didn't think to move my car or tell me it didn't work until after he left).

Looks like all that cleaning might actually have to happen today.

Nope, boys will certainly not stand around the playground bragging they got to suck on their mom's titty

Nope. My 6 year old is mortified that's how he was fed.

  • How much time on an activity mat is too much? I feel like she on it for the majority of the day. I can't really see much wrong with that, but what the hell do I know.

  • @mamrotu73‌ I tried that. I'm a weenie and can't pull the double door. (Back to the gym!) And for some reason only the one door isn't working. We have a 3 car and the single works fine, the double won't work with either remote or on the wall.

And in a effort to fix the uverse I flipped and unplugged everything I could out there. Thankfully, because we just moved in and the house is new it's still under warranty. They are sending a guy out to fix it. Worse case I'll move my car into the single when he opens it.

I think I'm more pissed that uverse tried to tell me they couldn't be out here until Monday. Ummm hell no....

  • Gah, people suck, @ColleenSwerb‌! Prayers for your aunt's recovery and health!

Am I some kind of psychotic masochist for haunting the loss board when I'm getting frustrated with DD in an effort to remind myself just how much worse I could have it...? :-S

I'm sure you didn't have any bad intentions posting this, but I don't think it's quite appropriate. Those loss moms are going through something most of us can't even imagine and are posting on TB for support, not to remind us how fortunate we are. I know most of them likely will never read this thread, but we do have loss moms on A14 as well, and it could potentially be hurtful to them to read stuff like that. Just throwing it out there for awareness purposes!

OMG. See, this is why I shouldn't post when I'm frustrated and sleep-deprived. I totally didn't think of it that way, and profusely apologize to anyone I may have hurt with that post! Now I feel like a monumental asshole.

  • I'm losing it today. We're in leap 2 so dS2 wants to be held/eat all day and DS1 is super clingy and wants to play all the games that require running around the house and crawling on the floor, which I can't do with DS2 stuck to me. I'm failing them both and it's only 11AM. 9 more hours :(

This little guy will not nap.  Yesterday he got about 30 minutes total throughout the day and had a very ugly bedtime at 7.  Today he napped for 30 minutes this morning, but now he's exhausted again and refusing sleep.  Ugh.  I'm about to just start driving and hope that works.

Head to Greenville. I'll meet you for coffee!

my daughter loves her so as long as shes happy there i let her stay. i figure the activity is help building brain and motor function so unless she seems over stimulated it is ok.

  • I wonder what babies dream about. He smiles so much in his sleep and sometimes giggles. But his life experiences are pretty limited. So...

Dancing jiggling boobs. Warm swaddle. Ceiling fan. A nice big fart.

I feel like there should be a picture of this... Cute baby with dream bubbles... It's a good thing I'm on mobile today. Haha

  • I had my tubes tied during the csection, but i'm terrified of getting pregnant again, so we are using condoms. No more babies!

Is that possible? I'm not well-versed in the efficacy of that procedure.
Less than 1%, but still scared.

How old is he? This sounds like leap 2 in our house. I could have written that post myself. Eta - luckily today is better here. LO has been asleep for an hour now, thank goodness. Hope today is better for you, too.
9 weeks.  I got him to go down for about 45 minutes now by doing the full-up bedtime routine.

  • DS is finally napping! Leap 2 is no joke.

I agree! It's 3pm here and LO hasn't napped all damn day! He was up every 1.5 hours last night and up for the day at 7am. I am beat to say the least.

D's woke up in his p&p so I got him out and put him on my lap. He went back to sleep, so I am stuck.

@fireflygirl12‌ I was there yesterday. Hang in there!
@purespark‌ I didn't know your DH was a chef. So cool. I wanna come up for a day trip for a little wine tasting.

I don't know how you made it through the day. DS1 just went down for a nap, so hopefully I have a few hours where I'm only dealing with a super needy baby. DH just called and said he has to work late so I'm on my own through bedtimes. I just want to crawl into a corner and cry. I hate feeling like a bad mom to both kids.

Not only would you be pregnant again but you'd have to change your screen name. I don't blame you for being scared

    Ha. So true!

Come up! He's a chef at a winery restaurant; actually, both of us work in the wine industry. We get free tastings everywhere, and discounts on purchases. We should go (and get @MrsStanton87‌ to come too!).
If either of you have the hook up at Rutherford, I'm coming to hang out with you daily...
  • I agree @fireflygirl12‌ !!!
