S just screamed for 2 hours. Tried to put him in the Moby for an hour of that and he got even more pissed. The Moby used to be my magic trick Any tips on better wraps? He's too big for any of the froggy positions but I'm worried I'm hurting his hips by putting his legs out. Ugghhh I'm so annoyed.
YouTube Moby wrap legs out for new borns. It will change your life. It's actually am easier wrap than the newborn froggy style.
Ugh- DH lost his job today. He has decided he wants to do something different but has no idea what. He is not worried at all and I am freaking out. Apparently he has been miserable for the past six months and I have been too busy to notice. A part of me feels like I should go back to work early (I have one more month of mat leave) but I know I would resent him for it (even though losing his job is obviously not his fault). At least he'll be around to help with LO.
She has been on the boob for 30 minutes, it's the only way she'll stop crying today. All is calm and I sneeze. She loses her shit (and takes my nipple with her). Back to square 1. It's going to be a long night...
My mom watched DS so we could go out for late birthday drinks & to see neighbors. SO funny it's a must see so many breast feeding jokes we were dying. I needed that. Of course he was an angel for my mom...
I don't even remember what exactly we were talking about last night, but here's part of a conversation my husband and I had:
Him: Could it be your nuclear meltdown? Me: My... what? Him: Your nuclear meltdown. Me: I don't know what that is... Him: You know! Your... letdown? Me: Oh!! My overactive letdown. Got it.

@vinny424-- he is in the national guard and has annual training 3 hours south...not the best timing since we have a 4 week old...BUT my mom is in town while he is gone (she's already been here 2 weeks and will be here a full month). Only problem with her is she drives me CRAZY-- and he was the buffer!!! I am just glad we can facetime every night though--- I don't know how military wives handle deployments! and the pic I took before he left
I think I may be becoming an EPer and not by choice DD has been nursing for only a few seconds to a few minutes and then pulling off screaming, if I can even get her to latch at all. She only wants the pacifier, and tonight she took a bottle from DH like a champ. I feel so distraught over the whole situation. I feel like I've been starving her by not giving the bottle sooner, and I'm just really sad that she won't nurse and that she won't use me for comfort. I know it's not a supply issue, as I always have a letdown within the first 30 seconds of nursing, and I'm getting decent quantities when pumping.

Mine has been doing this because he is miserably gassy.

I thought it might be gas related, but nothing seems to help, and she screams if I even attempt to get her to latch. She nurses fine overnight and in the early morning. I'm just so sad over it. I'm always hopeful tomorrow will be better, but I'm glad that she will take a bottle, so now I'll know I'm not starving her
I feel like I should have done an intro... I missed out on first trimester stuff when you guys probably all did them and then kind of lurked during 2nd tri when I discovered the bump. Started to actively post during 3rd tri but never did any intro. Meh, you guys have seen more pictures of my kid then Facebook has haha. Also never posted my birth story.... Maybe I'll finish it and post it on Penny's 2 month "birthday".
Normal or abnormal? Feels like shards of glass line my vaginal walls when trying to DTD for the first time post-pregnancy. :-?? :-<
I just DTD for the first time today and that's exactly what I was thinking during the first few minutes. It soon stopped hurting and I wasn't in serious pain after, just a little achey.
Score!! Dd Cried out long enought to wake me up but didn't really wake up herself. She continued to fuss like crazy so I went to the restroom and came back to a fussing hungry sleeping babe. Changed her diaper which got a few grunts but did not fully wake her up. Then a cry before putting her on the boob. She ate, without fully waking, for 10 mins before totally passing out again. Score.

@Bluebird2318 You're more of a trooper than I am! I told my husband we had to stop after a minute, and that was with me controlling the pace. :-/
@aronie82 I had a vaginal delivery. I guess it's just a natural result no matter what birth was like. The tip was all I could handle too, and he said, "I don't know if that's going to do anything for me." I hope he would've felt the same pre-birth!

We had a great night too! After zero naps yesterday and fighting sleep to begin with, she finally went down at 10:30. And didn't wake up until 4:30!!! Yay a 6 hour stretch!
It's the 4:30am feeding and this kid is totally playing with her food. "Josie, it's a boob, not a punching bag." "Josie, it's a nipple, not a lolly pop." "Josie, you woke me up and you've only been at this five minutes. Suck on it, don't sleep on it." These are the conversations I have with my daughter.

Do yall think 6 oz is too much at 8 weeks? He doesn't seem satisfied after 4 anymore. I made 6 and he sucked it down. It just seems like alot for this age?
My lo just turned 6 weeks Saturday. I generally feed 5 oz but sometimes he will eat six. I usually feed the reg amount then wait a few mins and if he's still hungry I feed the extra. I'm more scared he ll barf it up because of volume then anything but he's been fine .
Deidre's name is spelled wrong in the tag above. She was last active 5/30, weeks after the troll was banned.
This, plus Deidre has always seemed like a straightforward person, not someone who is afraid to speak her mind. An AE that lacks class wouldn't be her thing. The snail, on the other hand, was clearly into passive-aggressive bullshittery.

@MadBloom I was super late to the game too and still haven't done a birth story. Maybe we should start a thread for procrastinating mums?
Yea that's not a bad idea! I don't really need my own at this point. Maybe one thread for all the procrastinators would be good
ETA: I've already changed my mind... I'm totally going to AW it up and create my own thread lol. It's actually like 90% typed up, I just got to the shitty part where I could have died and stopped typing because it was tough to remember a lot at that point.

I have no idea who snail was, I'm very inept at sleuthing.
Hoping house hunts go well and everyone gets relief for their gassy babies!
At 5 weeks pp DH is starting to want some action, but I'm terrified of the pain everyone has described.
Ps. My boobs are itchy and my skin is dry and I keep thinking I feel ticks crawling on me.
