My brother's SIL was due with twins shortly after me. She delivered them nice and healthy last week. She went blind from pre-e. Or so my brother says. He is not a reliable source of info, nor is his GF. I asked my doctor and she said she has never heard of it being permanent but my SIL insists it is. Anyway, so crappy to not be able to see your precious babies, and deal with everything that comes from suddenly losing your vision.
The Geek squad is coming this morning and my dog has randomly been pulling her fur out. I tried to pick some of it up but it hurt so I gave up. Hopefully I never see them again, LOL, because they will think I am a disgusting mess. Housekeeper comes on the 9th. That's a long way away.
Had some idk/maybe beginning of contractions yesterday ( stomach tightened like BH but felt pain only like in my cervix ( not period-like at all))
Even though this is my third, I've never gone into labor on my own so I still feel like a FTM...
I apologize for the random thoughts/comments ( no real questions just ponderings) though, I suppose that is what this thread is for...
& the babies!!!!! Holy cow! Loving all the pics of their squishy little faces!!

I have been doing this too! I'm so glad school is over for the year and I get a bit of time to myself before baby gets here. But, now I'm ready for her to arrive. The later she stays on the inside is less time I get to be home with her. I'm not planning on taking any leave at the beginning of the year, so I want her here now so I can get at least 8 weeks with her,
We officially closed escrow on our land yesterday! Our neighbors are awesome. The husband came over and did some tractor work while my kids and I hung out with the wife and their little baby. We met them a few weeks back and we all get along great. I can't wait to start building my house although we will most likely move out there next weekend.
But...
At my appt today I was "2 almost 3 dilated" and I've Never been over a fingertip with either DD or DS... So maybe this time I'll go on my own?!?
I guess Lara bars, EPO, walking, & DTD are paying off??
With my luck I'll prob still be induced but the thought of going on my own is both exciting and terrifying

Here's my SS situation at work:
Yesterday my assistant told me she's been having a hard time at work for the last two weeks. Like, she cries every day.
Today, she emailed me and said she can only do 20 hours a week, for her mental health. We'd increased her hrs about a month ago to 24-ish, and we expected she'd do closer to 30-35 during my maternity leave.
She and my boss are already having issues communicating (I think the problem is with both of them, not just one). So I was already kind of nervous about how my maternity leave would go for them... and now I just feel screwed.
I either have to fire her and hire a FT person who can handle the job, and worry about training on top of all that I have to do before I can "leave" for two months... Or, I hire a second PT person and still worry about training........ Or, what? I just have someone covering 20 hours during our busy season??? That's only 4 hrs/ day that someone is here answering the phone on weekdays. That's really sucky customer service and won't fly w my boss.
Anyway, I'm sure my boss will say let's fire her and start fresh with someone better. He's been complaining about her speed (he thinks she's slow) for a while now anyway.
Gahhhhhhhh. Why right now?!
I can't even think about that. It's been mid 80s and I'm so miserable! This weekend is supposed to be in the 90s and I'm dreading it. 107 would make me want to throw up!
What?? You mean no one is looking forward to when the temp reaches 120+
but yeah it's been hot...looking forward to the pool daily.

supposed to be discharged). Doc said it will probably happen again and I'm worried about getting discharged and having everything I need set up with visiting nurse service. They also tend to not follow his orders, such as when to take the blow cuffs off and how much heparin to give me and other medicines not to give me. Also he doesn't do circumcisions and neither does my pediatrician. He said there may be a pediatric surgeon who would do it but if the glans is less than 2 cm they won't so idk how this will work. Both the OB and pediatrician said we may have to come back a few weeks or months later to do it. Has anyone heard of that?
Also my job is still being difficult. We have school until June 27 and my c is scheduled for the 6. My chiro wrote a letter for me to stop working as of the 16 so I've been home. I have been getting calls and emails every day asking where's this and where's that and I seriously left them everything they need it's ridiculous. Today I get an email and a follow up phone call that they cannot accept a letter from the chiro it had to be from the OB. My chiro says this is against the law. I don't know what to do anymore. I can't stand at work all day and I can't sit down with 32 teenagers in my room and they were not accommodating me in the least bit. The letter clearly states that I need to be off my feet, driving as little as possible and resting for the next three weeks. Any advice?
