@mrscrcalll JEALOUS! We moved from Portland in January after living there for 10 years (my avatar is actually our last photo taken in PDX). I miss it sooooooo much. I love the name Porter!
So, this might belong in stupid questions thread, but I'll try here first. Is it possible for your nipples to be too cracked/torn up during your first week of breast feeding? I'm worries mine look too bad....but I have nothing to compare it to. I've had multiple nurses & lactation consultants check my latches while at the hospital or at drs appointments, but it's making me nervous seeing these raw red nipple tips. Or is this just normal and it goes away when you get used to breast feeding?
@rockstarlaw I have no idea if it's normal, but mine did the same thing. They seemed to have like a red stripe on the tip, and then they scabbed over after a couple days. Her latch was terrible though. It's only just gotten better in the past 5-7 days. It took my nipples over a week to heal. Use lanolin religiously!

Happy Mother's day ladies! I got everything I wanted, a long shower and time to play on my Play station, essentially I got time for Mom's day lol. I hope you all had a good one!

WTAF, boobs. I stopped pumping Friday because they were producing next to nothing and have been comfort nursing kiddo a few times a day just for a few minutes until he pops off or falls asleep.. And now today, my boobs are legitimately dripping like a leaky freaking faucet. Seriously??

Maybe it just took awhile for your milk to come in? Maybe stressing about it affected your body! When you relaxed and stopped stressing it happened. Whatever the reason-congrats!
DH is a man of few words, so when I got a card with the breakfast in bed that he made, I was only expecting one handwritten sentence. The sentence was "from James" and thanked me for giving him life and giving purpose to Daddy's life. Cue the ugly cry!! I think Mother's Day just became my new favorite holiday
I'm seriously jealous of how all your DHs stepped up for Mother's Day... I am going to strangle mine if I hear him say how tired he is one more time. Screw him and his 10 hours of sleep last night!!! We've now had two bad sleep nights in a row followed by two busy days so I am so beat! Ugh Oh and my Mother's Day gift? A card that he ran out and got today after church as an afterthought. At least I got a flower at church from a stranger....
Gripe water is my new BFF. Emma spent most of the day yesterday in pain; screaming, writhing in pain and generally pissed off. Gave her some gripe water, which resulted in man size farts, a colon cleansing shit and a passed out, snoring baby.
Well the inlaws leave today. And of course this is the night where DH doesn't come home from work. It's my first night alone with dd. I'm so nervous. :-S

Mine are red, scabbed, left one was bruised and constantly "at attention". I use coconut oil and lanolin after every feeding. Day 8 for me

Agh.... So far 20 minutes of the "yeah I'm totally asleep mom!" (I lay down) "fuss fuss scream" (I get up and comfort) //repeat game.
So freaking annoying. This is what drove me insane last week...
I am right there with you, but I am lucky if I get ten minutes. It is usually just enough time for me to lay down and start to nod off before the fussing/crying starts.
Snowy and cold here in Denver. It's our 7 year anniversary today- DH forgot to tell me happy anniversary before he left. I know he remembered because weve been talking about it for days Getting sushi for dinner!

Happy Anniversary @Teresa1896! Hubster and I are celebrating 2 years today and we ALSO went out for a sushi dinner (Did it last week while my folks were here so we could have a real live adult date).
Hoping the anniversary keeps hubster's anxiety at bay. He's back at work after a fairly good weekend but left with elevated anxiety levels. Keeping fingers crossed for a good day. I can't stand the idea of fighting today.
i'd like to know who took my "sleep for 5.5 hr" infant and replaced him with "fussy-i'm not gonna sleep and you can't make me-you aren't getting sleep either! haha" infant. guess that really was my mother's day present
i'd also like to know why it takes 20+ minutes to burp this guy. and why i woke up to "omg im gonna die" cramps and more bleeding. i'm so over it

Happy anniversary, ladies!
Hope the hubs' anxiety stays away, @PoppySeedWindsor, today is gonna be a good day!
I have to remind myself when the babies get fussy that they just want to be snuggled by the most amazing person they know. That makes it easier, even at 3 in the morning and when they are both fussing.
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
@PoppySeedWindsor No pity!!!
We have season tickets, can't get enough! My LOs name is Porter!
Cause it's Porter-land! :x
Then I peed on a stick...
