A peed and spit up on me for Mother's Day. So, I made him wear my favorite onesie after a bath even though it is 3-6 month size and also gave him bunny ears.

    My unimpressed cuteie:image

I have a Dr. Who crush on you.

As part of my mother's day gift DH said he would feed and change DD all night even though I still had to get up to pump. Well DD thought it would be a good night to cluster feed every hour! I feel so bad for him but so glad I didn't have to deal with it. I actually got to sleep for 5 hours straight and now my boobs are rocks but it was totally worth it!

  • I love living in the Caribbean but I fucking HATE Mosquitos!!!! WTAF is their purpose???? :-((
  • @mamrotu73‌ -I absolutely love your mobile. I want one!
  • My turn to step back for awhile. I have the stomach flu, and while running to the bathroom I fell down the stairs and hit my face off the wall and knocked a couple teeth out of whack and through my lip. My nose looks broken and I can't keep anything down. I feel so down and defeated, I don't have anything positive to offer. Like in ny separate mother's day post, pph you all, have a wonderful, happy, and safe mother's day.
  • @kseccomb17‌ it seems like you can't catch a break lately. I'm so sorry! Definitely keeping you and your family in my prayers!

Welcome back @AprilMay9‌ and congrats on that beautiful lady!

Welcome back @dani+california‌ I'm glad you got some help and are feeling better

Yay @AprilMay9 you have your squish!!!!

And Yay for my DH who finally finished our living room gut and remodel!  He's so darn handy, I can't help but beam with pride!  Plus I can finally walk through my house without hitting road blocks again.

ETA:  oh my gosh @kseccomb17 sending hugs your way!

  • Congrats @AprilMay9‌! She's beautiful!!!
I wonder if all the April mamas had their babies by today?? I sure hope so- my DH printed and framed a pic from 1 hour post partum and got me 3 cards- one from the dogs, one from Andrew and one from him :) such a sweet surprise! Officially 1 week today and tomorrow is my first day alone! ( luckily my mom comes Tuesday for a month!)

The card with my flowers was from DH and DS. The dog felt left out. But he volunteered to help out and lick all the dishes clean.
Speaking of dogs... How are everyone's handling the new additions? My golden is like nana from Peter Pan and couldn't be happier. My cocker mix (age 9) was at first ambivalent but over the past 2 days is pretty upset. Pooped and peed in the nursery and constantly feels displaced and probably replaced. He just is being super emotional and withdrawn.

My 6yo cat doesn't care too much. Loves to sleep on the baby's blankets so I have to keep baby's room closed.

3yo German shepherd was very depressed at first and would whine when baby cries. He's starting to get used to her though and gives her the occasional gentle kiss on the hand

Cat doesn't care, but he went through something similar when we got the puppy two years ago (to the day, LO and pup have the same bday!).  The dog is a little sad sometimes, but she's been spending most of the day outside (her choice) and either I take her for a walk or DH takes her for a run or bike ride almost every day.  Plus she gets baby-free time with me and then DH most nights for a few minutes.

She did freak out last night and bark bark bark which she never does, but we brought her into the bed and she snuggled right up.

  • DH drank too much last night and didn't do anything special for me today, because 'his family never did anything special on Mother's day'. He got the silent treatment until he went and got me flowers, chocolate and Dutch Bros iced mocha. He is still in the doghouse but at least now he knows for next year. Men :/

Don't feel too bad. I can't believe I did it, but I just aired the shit out of my dirty laundry bad Mother's Day story on the AW thread. My day has been such a colossal let down I don't even know what to do about it but sit here and sob.

Our corgi is somewhere between neutrality and liking him. Sometimes he sniffs the baby or lies next to him. Other times he'll run right by and not pay attention. No negative reactions though. Our two cats gave the baby a quick sniff the first day we brought him home, but they both just ignore him now.

  • @MrsStanton87‌ - "loving" your post out of sympathy, not because I like the actions. I think if SO would have even taken the time to write me a heartfelt message in the card I bought for his
Mother before he gave it back to me signed with just names I would at least feel better...but nope. Why are men so damn stupid sometimes?

Lol mine has been like this too. My MOM got me a card and present and SO did not. When I cried he got me flowers and a hug.
  • @AprilMay9 I'm so happy to see you back here, and SO HAPPY to see your daughter!!! So cute and sweet and rolly! I'm dying for her baby chubs! I've been thinking about you a lot, and am so glad things turned out well, even if it's not what you expected. You went to the moon and back to birth your baby, and there's no shame in your game, honey. And yay for working boobs! You were very missed.

  • Yay!! @dani+California is back too!! So much love to you girlie! You're doing the right thing, asking for help. We are social creatures, and not meant to do this alone. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I have no idea where I'd be right now if it weren't for the people around me. I'm glad you're getting help, and I'm glad your mom is awesome. I'll be praying your counsellor is, too.

  • @kseccomb17 Oh, hon. You need a break so badly. This just all seems very unfair for you. I wish I could do something more than pray that it gets better for you. Creepy virtual internet hugs.

  • One of the downsides of living with your ILs: you can't pretend you're not home when visitors come by.

One of my FIL's brothers came over with his wife (not specifically to see us), and he comes upstairs in the middle of our wonderful nap and wakes us up to tell us they're here instead of telling them, "Sorry, they're sleeping right now. They must've been up late with the baby."
