We are having a huge party this weekend and even though I was home sleeping most of the day, I feel like I squandered an opportunity to clean. I just hope L cooperates enough to let me do some tonight now that I feel a little better,

I looked in Pinterest. Here's a few I like but clearly they aren't the same style as our house.
You really can't go wrong with any of those, but I will say that on your style of house, I'm a huge sucker for white with black shutters, red door, yellow wreath, ..... or the same with gray or tan house color.
@hmp1 I think you'd win with a gorgeous blue (lighter than navy, with either more gray or teal in it but not as 'bright' as my mockup), red, white, or the wood door. It's more of a classic style of house, and those colors all work.

This was the original plan. We will probably go with it so that it's more neutral.

My neighbor's house is yellow. People either love it or laugh at it. I think the laughing is more because most of the houses in our neighborhood are brick so it really sticks out.
That is gorgeous! We live in a depressing looking area, so that's why we were thinking of something a little brighter. It's sad how difficult it is to pick paint colors.
The living room and dining room flow together. The kitchen is kinda separated. If that helps. I feel like it could be a different complimentary color. Excuse the mess and baby.
I'm going to AW myself here, I cleaned and organized our whole utility room during DD's nap today, DH was supposed to get it done over Christmas/New Years, but never got around to it. I'm so proud of my self. Plus I got a bunch of stuff ready for our neighborhood rummage sale!
Here's hoping I can keep up the productivity and get the closet cleaned out tomorrow so that the new baby gets a closet!

I really want a red door. We can't decide whether to go white, with black shutters and a red door, or light tan with white trim, black shutters and a red door. I've seen some beautiful white farmhouses, but I'm worried that white siding will look dingy after a short while.
I wanted this color for a door but DH said it was too bright.
Go for it! If you paint your house a neutral color then that could really pop and look cute! But like I said, I'm on a bright front door kick! I plan on painting the door of our new house something in that family. I was going to do it to this house but now that we're selling it we decided to go with red since it's more common.
I just made a run to Wal Mart and had Braxton Hicks the whole time I was walking around. So annoying! They've steadily been happening more often and I still have 5.5 weeks left!
I feel like we're never going to come up with a name for this baby. DH doesn't like anything I suggest, but hasn't had 1 single suggestion other than Odin, which I said no to.
Neither of us like trendy names, but all of our guy friends have "classic" names, so it feels weird to entertain those ideas when we know people with so many of them...
We both like Daniel, I still like Walter, but nothing seems to actually stand out. I feel like it was a lot easier to name a girl...before my Dad died, we had a really solid list of girl names that we liked equally. After he died and we wanted to use James, Nancy just seemed to fit perfectly with that MN. I don't know why this is so difficult.
I feel your pain. Finally at 38 weeks DH and I agreed on a boy name. I'll be 39 weeks tomorrow and we still don't have a girl name. I think I could have written your post word for word. I also love Walter but DH says that it reminds him of an old man name.

I'm on a teal door kick right now, though!
I'm embarrassed to even show you this try, haha
I'm trying really hard to get through this thread but it's loooong! ...
I can't quite get the blue gray right.

omg I love ^^that^^ color scheme. A teal-gray house, black shutter, and orangey red door. Swoon!
