Well I wanted to come over and say hello. I have been posting in the 1st tri board and thought I would here also. I will be 7 wks on Saturday after a m/c in September. I am hoping I get to stay longer this time but I don't know. Had a dr.s appt earlier this week and dr. is concerned about another m/c. Get blood results back tomorrow. Trying to keep my head up and praying for good news!
Re: New to this board!
hi and welcome! so sorry about your previous loss. why does your dr think you may mc again? is he just monitoring you to be safe, or was there a cause for alarm?
fyi, even when there is a "cause for alarm" (ie, measuring behind, spotting, etc) it doesn't necessarily mean anything's wrong. i had quite a slew of issues with this pregnancy, and so far so good!
Dr. is worried because there was some bleeding when I went in for an early u/s. It was before the appt so it wasn't from that. Also, they did not find a h/b when they did the u/s, but it was just over 6 wks so it could just be too early. That is where his conern is coming from.
Th good news is the bleeding lasted less than 8 hours and was not accompanied by any cramps. IT was not heavy either, but was more than spotting. This is nothing like my last m/c so that is helping me stay somewhat positive.
that's right, stay positive. i had spotting for three days with this pregnancy... followed by u/s that showed i was measuring a week behind (and i charted, so it was still measuring behind from when i ovulated) and they couldn't find the hb until i was 8.5 weeks (measuring 7.5). it was weeks or uncertainty and scariness. but hang in there hun, i am hoping you get great results back soon. when's your next u/s?
Welcome and we're all hoping you get good news!!!
