My kid totally has her nights and days mixed up! She sleeps really good for me during the day when DH is at work but it is party time between 2-7am :-( I need to figure out how to fix this. Sleeping when she sleeps doesn't not work out as well during the day when there are things that need to be done and visitors that want to stop by and meet peanut. Plus DH is exhausted...come on baby girl we need you to get with the program!
@pineconey you are in my thoughts this morning, glad you got to spend some time with Asher! It won't be long before you're up walking around multitasking and nursing one handed being all super mom and stuff.
I swear if DH complains to me about bring tired today I'll slug him. Aiden got one decent three hour stretch of sleep, followed by a two hour then several one hour blocks. DH got up for two of the awake times, and I just asked him to snuggle Aiden so I could catch up on maybe an hour of sleep. His idea of snuggling is laying Aiden in his lap or on his chest so he can lay down too, which results in crying baby who wants to nurse.
Guess who's back to sleep and who's awake? Jackass...
Went to a friends birthday party for their 1 year old yesterday (all 3 kids where with us too) and out of no where I just wanted to sit and cry. No clue what my problem was, my kids where behaving, I felt fine before we got there but once we were there I was just overly anxious....I've never really had social anexity issues but maybe it was brought on by the fact that out of 100 people that were there I only knew about 12.

I had a baby this morning!! Team green turned Team PINK! The birth was polar opposite from my sons as far as length and intensity and I feel like death but I'm so thrilled! Will post a birth story soon!

Yay!! I slept! Finally admitted to DH that I was two steps away from a breakdown if I didn't get some sleep and he bailed me out. He got up with her and calmed her down so I got a few longer stretches last night. I feel so much better!
Owen is already soaking through my itty bitty cloth diapers, which make up about half of our newborn stash. The other ones are still too loose around his little chicken thighs though, so pee leaks out. I suppose it will need to be resolved by more diaper shopping during our middle of the night nursing sessions. FWP.
M started soaking through our lil' joey AIOs. DH still insists on using them. Just like he still insists on trifolding the prefolds, despite an epic blow out last night. Seriously dude, it takes an extra minute to angel wing or newspaper and then there are no blow outs!
Taking shifts for feeding and changes actually means I will be up every time trying to calm DH when he gets frustrated and ultimately will end up with the baby in my arms finishing whatever task he was doing.
Then DH gets pissy at 6:30 when it's "wake up time" and I say GTFO I'm napping. He complains he's so tired. Bitch please this is how my night goes every night. I'm so sick of him getting solid chunks of sleep and thinking he's entitled to it.
Sounds like a lot of us are in the "annoyed with our husbands" club today. Add me to the list too. DS screamed for an hour or two nonstop last night, most of which with a boob in his mouth. I finally got up and took DS into the living room so I could sit up and nurse him more easily. DH slept for an hour and then came in and said, "is he ok? Why is he crying?" I definitely yelled at him. "The hell if I know!" Then he went back to bed. How lovely for him.

I am glad he is stabilizing @pineconey! Hoping your pain does too and you heal quickly. My heart goes out to you guys. Yay @nikki912! Congrats!
Baby cork gone... We shall see if these cramps push help push out a baby or just continue to be annoying. But I don't have to go to work today! I told my boss I would be a liability I figured I would work until he came but since whenever I stand I get cramps, I choose today! Edit: spelling
May the Fourth Be With You: Our 5-4-14 Baby: Andrew Joseph
Just woke up at 7:30am and my family left without saying goodbye. They figured since I didn't wake up from them talking that I must have been tired. Well, I'm always tired. So sad I didn't get to say bye. This is the only thing I hate about being 500 miles from my family. Now I feel so bad that they're so far away from my son. So just sitting here ugly crying...
((Hugs)) @MrsStanton87. My family isn't that far, but they aren't close either, so I know the feeling. We use Skype so everyone can still see each other when we're not together.
I've nodded off a few times while breastfeeding in the middle of the night and DH has repeatedly expressed his concern over how unsafe it is. I try to keep things dim and quiet so B. Starts to get her days and nights sorted out, but I think I'm going to have to give that up. It seems like a lot of other ladies have fallen asleep with little one on them, but my husband seems to think this is just an issue for me "just stop falling asleep" he says... Easier said than done. I'm already emotional and anxious and this worry and his attitude aren't helping. Advice?

Try snacking during the feeding. It helps me stay awake.

Soothies are ao expensive for 3 days use! They are the only thing that make my nipples feel somewhat normal. DH was such a jerk last night when he saw how much they are. He instantly went into math mode and said if i use them for a year it would be 1200 dollars. I don't think I need them forever just until they toughen up!
Bamboobies are so scratchy and hurt, disposables are just as bad. What can I use!!?!?!! Eta: I bought some anyway, until he can BF or pump he doesn't get much say, however they are really pricy!
My Bamboobies aren't scratchy. I dried them in the dryer. The dryer probably isn't recommended, but I put them in a lingerie bag, so hopefully I won't ruin them.
The overnight ones are ok, but the daytime ones are so thin! I dry mine too! Plus I really hate the heart shape!
My Bamboobies aren't scratchy either. I always dry them in the dryer, though.
Sleeping while feeding is an utter inevitability. It happens to all moms. If the paranoid husband is concerned, suggest he stay awake with you while you breastfeed.
Soothies are only necessary for the first few weeks. I like the Ameda brand better they are a bit cheaper if you purchase them online instead of at BRU.
Maybe they aren't scratchy. To the touch they feel fine, it's putting them up against my sore nipples which makes them feel like sand paper!
I've noticed that I need to have the pads snug against my boobs for them to be comfy. So a fitted nursing bra works great but some of my nursing tanks are a little too loose to put the pad in alone or they start to rub and feel uncomfortable. Not sure if this is what you're experiencing too, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
Yes! Which makes night time sleeping with no bra a pain!!
