@kseccomb17 I honestly do not know how you stay afloat even a little, once just before DH and I were married he had to be hospitalized for what they thought was an infectious disease and I went in to advocate for him. It was not easy and I couldn't imagine doing it with children at home. More ((hugs)) I think you are being a wonderful Mother and wife, do not feel guilty. Please do not skip your next appt, you need it hun.

Ugh, been up for like 3 and a half hours with little girl. She decided after having a feeding frenzy that it was awake time and wouldn't close her little eyes. Just fed again and she's passed out on my chest but I'm afraid to move because she'll most likely wake up. And I desperately need to pump.... Been leaking like mad for hours.

Good morning, RTT! So exciting that we've reached caboose-land! Happy due date, @colleenswerb- hope 2.0 makes an appearance soon!

Congrats to all of the RTT mamas and babies born in the last day or two- I can't keep up! Hugs to those who are needing them!

DH is going to his best friend's wedding this weekend, so I'm hanging out at my Mama's house! Aka: Nonna bogarts the baby and I get "gently nudged" to get out of the house for a pedicure and shopping alone.

x 1000. Did I mention there is a soaking tub and a Dairy Queen at my disposal, both things I love but do not have access to in Boston.

@aronie82‌ there is no asking in my house. I time it so I feed our LO, hand my SO the baby and walk away telling him I'm going to take a shower. I take as long as I like since I know LO is fed and happy and I take as much time as I need.

@Tasha575‌ if he can take 30 mins in the bathroom so can you [-(

@aronie82‌ I'm so sorry you have to deal with that. If you've already sat down with him and discussed the situation calmly when you aren't already pissed about something, maybe being more aggressive is what he needs. Hand him the baby and tell him you need some time for yourself and leave. I would suggest leaving the house so he can't come find you. When you come back try to be happy and in a good mood so he sees that you really did need that time and its beneficial to both of you. If he throws a pissy fit I'd make sure to calmly point out all the things he gets to do and you can not. If you stay calm and not engage in a yelling fight it will force him to re-examine his own behavior as well.

@LoriMc12‌ I like old navy, target, and macys for little boy stuff. The best deals are always Carter's though because a lot of times you can get the 3 piece sets which is basically 2 outfits

@MrsStanton87‌ we warmed up his bassinet with the heating pad before putting him down for the night in it. It seems to have worked, since he normally wakes up as soon as he lays down in it, and he didn't last night. Granted, we never got him to go back to sleep well after that first stretch of time, so who knows...

Anyone else with a LO that wakes up after a feeding middle of the night wide awake? I can't figure out how to help him sleep better...

DD is having the worst night tonight! Started with what I thought eas cludster feeding from 10:30pm, until 230am where i realised she was comfort sucking - put her on to feed, she would take 5-6 sucks then fall asleep. And everytime I moved her to her bassinet she would wake up les than 10mins later eanting another feed. In the end I got DH to take her, he managed to get her to sleep on him for about 40 mins, and again put her in her bassinet, she was awake a few minutes later!

So now its 4am, I've had 1hr sleep and have lgiven up, im propping myself up with pillows

Ok so this didnt post at 4am.its now 530, we slept for an hour, then tried bassinet again, nope. Been feeding again and no signs of sleep. Last night in hospital and I really want to go home!

I just read about what kind of episiotomy I got... It was a mediolateral, and midline episiotomies are much more common. The only benefit of mediolateral is that there's less of a chance of it going to your butt, but all the long-term affects are worse. I'm wondering why they gave me this kind instead of the other. Surely they had a good reason for it, but I'm really hoping I don't suffer any long-term, recurring pain from it!

Showing off my baby to friends for the first time TOTALLY makes up for the hellish nights we've had with this growth spurt. Also: my baby can suck it, because somehow I've tricked my body into producing ever so slightly more milk than he is drinking now.

Also team not looking, I didn't look at all last time and I have the same tear in the same spot this time. I can feel the stiches sometimes like when wiping, it disturbs me how close they are to my anus. Only a 2nd degree but still feels very close to vagasshole territory and seemed like they were stiching forever, but didn't tell me how many. Yup, typing this confirms, NOT LOOKING.

This! Emma slept from 10-2, then 3-5:30 and then 6-9. I feel so much better this morning!

All of this, except for there being no "last time". I know enough from the hellish trips to the restroom that I do not want to know. I also have no idea how I would have made it through those first couple of pee trips with said stitches if DH wasn't so willing to jump in and nurture me. He's helped bathe me twice, helped me use the restroom tons of times now, waited on me hand and foot, and is now telling me how great I look a day post partum. This man may have missed his calling, he'd be a damn fine nurse.

Took our LO to the Warrior Dash race that SO ran today. Moby wrap success! She slept great in it. Unfortunately we were gone for a while so my boobs got a little backed up.

And in regards to looking down there, I finally broke down and checked it out because, sorry for this, but my vagina has quite the odor right now, and I was paranoid something was way out of wack down there. And now in just sad because I don't know how many kegels I'm going to have to do to fix that cavern of an entrance.
