I've succeeded in getting DH to eat ice cream straight from the container during this pregnancy. Ben and Jerry's Salted Caramel Core for the win! Now I don't feel so guilty when I do it :P
@mamrotu73 -- That's what happens when a pregnant lady doesn't have a job. (Well, I'm a freelance writer but have been taking fewer projects throughout pregnancy)
@macgrs Thanks for the suggestions! I have made bibs and toys. I've been holding off on clothes because we are team green and it's really hard to find fabric that isn't uber boyish or uber girlish.
To all the RTT runners -- I feel the same exact way! I was logging in 70 miles a week before getting pregnant and now I walk about 20.
Uhhhmmmmm... you mean 20 feet right? Sadlolz for me.
*Stuck in quote box*
I'm doing EVERYTHING I can to get this baby out of me. Plus, I have a subluxated (dislocated) rib and walking or standing is the only way I can get some reprieve from the pain. Double plus: I've been a big runner since, forever and haven't been able to run during pregnancy so walking is what I do!
I won't be able to exercise for six weeks postpartum, per doctors' orders. Stupid complications. I can't wait to get out walking and use this BOB we bought!
I thought six weeks was pretty standard?
*considers* yeah I think you're right! But it seems like many women get out to at least walk before then. I won't be able to. A nurse in the delivery room said I won the "Tear of the Year Award." I think that remark wins an "Inconsiderate Comment of the Year Award." Thanks for making light of my 4th degree tear, lady.

Have you ever gone on spoonflower for fabric? They have a ton of great stuff, and you can even design your own. My custom bedding was done with SF fabrics. (Yes there is a peekaboo bumper in this photo, please don't go off on me. I'll take the damn thing off and throw it on the floor like people do with decorative pillows every night if I have to.)

I haven't! But I am going to look now...
It's my birthday this Friday so hubster shouldn't care how much I spend...right???
The comments have started.... It's "due week" and my MIL woke us up with a phone call asking if I was in labor and my coworkers want to know all the deets about my ute. Ugh I'm tired of sharing the same info over and over. The info is " I DON'T KNOW". I may power down my phone and disable my Facebook til baby arrives.
A girl my husband works with just told me during lunch that my face looks nice and skinny. Her words were, "Oh my gosh your face is so much slimmer than the last time I saw you! It looks like you lost weight!"
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?
I wanted to bash her brains in but I was afraid I'd be disappointed because there wouldn't be anything to bash.
Going to start the Shameless season finale now. GOT premier won over Shameless finale last night. However I love it when my shows start and finish seasons seamlessly, not leaving me in a lull of nothing to watch.

LOVE Shameless! GOT won last night for us too so I have to wait til DH gets home tonight to watch it!

DITTO!! It's so underrated!! One of my favorite shows. Oh and make sure you watch the credits.
On Friday I promised myself that this week I would do more than just sit around all day. It's 11:30, I've been up 45 minutes, and I'm just finishing breakfast. This day could be interesting....

@avidkeo I just finished binge watching Short Poppies. Good stuff. I think the bit with Bear Grylls was my favorite. Tons of other great moments though.
Oh cool! We haven't got past the first ep yet, DH has been busy and I don't want to watch without him! Looking forward to it!

Ugh going to walk the dog around the block a bunch to see if I can walk this baby out!! Not even technically overdue yet but all these irregular contractions are so dang frustrating!
Are the menstrual like cramps that I'm feeling all in my head? :-?
Every time I get that it turns out to be gas or poop. Of course the only thing my OB said about contractions was that they would start out like menstural cramps.
This.

Same here. Shitty thing for me is that I've never had painful periods. The cramps that I have had during periods have always been mild so I'm probably gonna be oblivious to real contractions. Hopefully my water breaks when the time comes so I'll know for sure it's happening.
Is it wrong that I'm envious of all you ladies getting on and off cramps? I'm getting NOTHING! Not even BH! I'm starting to think I'm the weird one here! I know I'm 39+2 but shouldn't I be feeling something??
Though everyone who is getting stupid practice ones that go nowhere has my sympathy! That does sound truly awful!

I'm running out of things to distract me while I wait for this baby. I did this gel manicure myself yesterday and trimmed my hair today. What the hell else can I do? Atleast my baby will be born to a nicely groomed woman. I think.
Wow that Lindsey girl is special isn't she? Not everyone here is a FTM so there is actually people with experience. And why assume FTM's don't have knowledge? No, I've never Breastfed but I did my best to educate myself and feel totally prepared for how this may go and what signs to look for if it isn't going well.
I hate the stereotype that FTM's don't know anything and can't possibly be prepared.

Me too! I am 40+4 and have had nothing but a few BH and some belly tightness :-( It's so frustrating!
@diedremaria: I also never really had menstrual cramps either. Hoping I realize when it's the real deal too!

Not "wrong", but I wouldn't wish the hell I felt last Monday night for 5 hours on you, especially since a week later I'm still very much pregnant.

Loving in sympathy if that makes any sense!
DH has started to get a bit jumpy... Every time I stretch my back, or make a face when I try to stand up hes very quick to ask if I'm ok. It's very sweet, and he manages to do in a way that isn't annoying. I only worry when I finally do go into labor he will freak out not knowing what to do!

This is totally stupid and vain but whatever - I want to get a gel manicure before my induction (scheduled 4/16), but I'm worried I won't be able to leave the baby two weeks later for a polish change. I should be fine to leave the baby for 1.5-2 hours at 2 weeks or so, right?? I'll be breastfeeding.
