Two weeks ago I had just gotten half naked and the nurse came in to tell me my dr had to do an emergancy c section and would be 45 minutes. I almost said to her, can I put my pants on and go back to watching good morning America in the waiting room but she ran out the door too fast. (Disclaimer, didn't bother me he had to leave I just wish I could've amused myself)

Agreed.  She also joined The Bump the same time I did (August 2010).  While I don't claim to be a BFing expert, I did breast feed DS for 2 years, through over supply, overactive let down, clogged ducts, latch issues and painful nipples.  We have a lot of experienced STM's (and more) here who are willing to help, offer advice, and redirect people to see a LC or LLL.

Unfortunately my husband doesn't get that at this point, lack of communication very quickly ends with me in tears.
He didn't tell me he wasn't coming home for lunch, and have zero ambition for the rest of the day. I hate when something so small wrecks my day. Hoping I can find something to turn it around.

I have been a serious lurker lately...just lovetitting really. I really cant believe how many babies have popped out! Well done on the cuteness!!

To all of you overdue and uncomfortable...hoping for really quick and easy births!! fair tradeoff right?!

I am at 37 weeks tomorrow and was feeling super good but now am sooo exhausted. I could have a full month left and that is pretty terrifying...oh the caboose. at least there are a few handfuls of us on here Even if it feels like 80% have had their babies!!!

Took out the trash and stopped by the mailbox. I'm exhausted now. Sheesh! It's 70 degrees here today- I'm so thankful the bulk of this pregnancy has taken place in the winter!

Its 85 here today and supposed to be 96 on Wed. I'm gonna have to break my 'No AC before May rule".  Goodbye affordable electric bill

@TallaB‌ oh my goodness I know!!!! We haven't used the heat in at least 2 months (never in our new apt) and I'm so sad that opening the windows leaves us at 72ish these days. I like it cold, but even with the blinds closed, the sun is a force to be reckoned with. This will be our first summer paying our own electric bill (lived with friends last summer) and I'm totally dreading it. At lease it stays light here crazy late so at least we won't use the lights as much....

Ok, I have a random question for all you wise, thoughtful ladies . . . My coworker left early because his dog is dying. What's a nice gesture that's not too weird to say "sorry about your dog"? A card? Any ideas? We're pretty close; we sit next to each other and have worked on the same projects for 3 years. I know he's sad about his dog. . .

I was just about to ask the same thing. My neighbors we are close with just lost their dog after 14 years... Beer? Card?

I lost my dog in December and I was crushed. She was my best friend and had been with me for 10 years. My employees made me a gift basket with toys & treats for my other two dogs and some candy & a card for me. I thought it was very thoughtful & really appreciate it. I didn't need the gifts, the card really meant the most, just to know people cared. I think a card alone or a card & small gesture gift is great. Nothing extravagant.

DH was obsessing over how "perfect" my breasts are the other day- poor guy, he has no idea what's coming. Maybe I should get one if those belly molds for my boobs so he can remember them this way....
I personally hate them, but I'm dreading the whole milk coming in thing. Fingers are crossed that somehow I won't grow too much....
