@PoppySeedWindsor - right there with you with the nighttime anxiety. I've been waking up freaking out about work issues for the past few nights. Over it!
Me too. I wake up at odd hours and my heart is racing because of anxiety I'm feeling about finishing up the semester with a newborn, not knowing when she'll come, how I'm going to handle all these visitors in the upcoming month, etc etc.
I have an appointment with the parinatologist today for probably my last ultrasound! I'm somewhat nervous because I know I've been measuring small, so I'm almost expecting to be sent off for an induction again for having low fluid. Which might be a relief because people keep commenting that I look smaller than I should for 37 weeks and at my last appointment he seemed somewhat concerned about me measuring so far behind. I don't want an induction nor do I want to worry about how she's doing in there....
Oh and funny story. Yesterday I got a mani/pedi at this salon I go to and as usual the parking lot was completely full because they share the lot with a BBQ place that all the "suits" go on their lunch break. Well, this guy was standing in the last parking spot to save it for his buddy behind me. But in the last nine months, I have completely run out of fucks to give, so you bet your ass I pulled up in there. They had a lot of swearing to do at me, but when I hobbled out of that car the looks on their faces were PRICELESS. I love when the universe knocks people down a peg or two.

Why are men so fucking dumb? Apparently my inlaws are spending the night here tomorrow. Thanks for the advanced notice so I can clean up the room, douche. Like I haven't cleaned enough shit this week and needed something else to do today.
Ugh men are idiots. DH has done this to me before. I think I was already pissed at him for something else so I told him if he didn't clean the house, I wasn't making them dinner.

His parents, his problem--make him clean. DH wanted to do a housewarming party here when I was 37 weeks, so I told him flat out that I'll make the food (since he can't cook) but he'd be responsible for all of the cleaning. He grumbled about it and definitely didn't expect a list of specific things to clean, but got it all done nevertheless.
Happy Friday all!
So nervous for my appointment this afternoon! I should get back the results from my urine catch and blood work to determine if I really have pre-e or some other fun pregnancy induced problem.
I have a feeling that they are going want to induce (which is terrifying to me!) because my swelling is not going away and I'm pretty sure my bp is not cooperating.
I have an appt at 10:30 this morning to discuss my lab work from wed. He told me to come with packed bags just in case we need to have a baby today. Trying to not be nervous, but with all of the swelling and headaches over the last few days, I have a feeling my BP isn't going down at all. Good luck to you!
I'm a vet tech. My general reccomend action is to feed a diet that YOUR dog does well on.
So nice healthy shiny coat. Normal stools. No vomiting. And healthy weight.
I mention the weight because some brands are 290kcal per cup and others are over 400! So you can get some suprise weight gain, or just not be able to feed enough for pup to feel satiated.
The less ingredients the diet has the better as well. That makes it easier to pinpoint issues with the diet and some dogs just have issues from foods being to rich from all the extra ingredients.
I like California natural. It makes my dog have the most gorgeous coat! And it is a limited ingredient diet. But it's expensive... And I get an employee discount on purina so he's eating that at the moment and I add welactin ( fish oil)
Edit: I've mostly given up cleaning... Even for company. As long as the bathroom is decent I give up. Mil apperantly mentioned I should hire a cleaner, lol. My mom just brings me food and does my dishes.
To add- I was having pretty regular, painful contractions last night and wasn't able to sleep. I asked that DH get some sleep so even if I don't one of us gets good rest. He agreed, and then proceeded to stay up all night programming. I started timing my contractions this morning and they're coming every 5-6 min or so and have been getting stronger and stronger.
I asked him to go ahead and take DS to daycare and add that he can stop for a haircut on his way home. "Tonight?" Um no, when you come home from dropping him off... and he says "I have to go to work." Um are you kidding me? He says he can come back if I think it's labor. Well yeah I think it might be labor, that's why I asked you to stay home in the first place.
Anyways, yay maybe labor! I'm going to try to sleep. Latah, RTT.
@ColleenSwerb I'm so sorry girl! Men are dumb for sure and annoying as hell. I hope DS is okay after the spill and like PPs said, that you get some YOU time!
Does anyone else seriously think their DH has an iPhone addiction?
DH is on his iPhone when he wakes up, if I'm driving, during meals, when we're watching tv ( but he still gets mopey if I pick something he doesn't like ), in the bathroom, at friends or relatives houses, and before bed.
He'd seriously rather play on his phone than snuggle, talk to me, or have sex. But then has the balls to ask for a back rub.
I was talking to him about my day and he started watching videos on his phone! I was so pissed!
I've told him over and over again but he doesn't see it as a problem.
I don't want to fight a phone for my DH's attention!
And if he is on it while I labor?!
And I'm terrified he's going to do the same thing to our daughter.
Going to the grocery store today for the 1st time with LO. I was going to attempt to use my K'Tan but after reading the directions you're supposed to wait until they're 8 lbs. I guess we won't be getting quite as many groceries.
Any tips?
FTM and mines not here yet.
Get the biggest cart and put the baby seat/carrier in the basket?
And just don't buy as muc. Or get a friend to come with this first time?
Oh or do the call ahead and have the store grab everything for you and do curb side pickup!
Car trouble....stuck on the side of the road. Not how I wanted to start my day. Looks like the bolt that holds the break on is missing. Luckily DH is with me and we have a friend on the way to hopefully fix it for us.

No, but we know someone with access to a tow trucking we need one. We really should pick it up though. Our friend just got here and checked it out and is getting a new bolt so looks like an easy fix and no extra damage at the moment.

Woke up to MIL commenting on my Facebook status reminding me about how if I breastfeed, the baby will have immunity. This was after I explained why I was stocking up on supplies so I don't have to take him to Walgreens/Target when he is a newborn. I don't even like going to Walgreens half the time--all I hear is coughing and sniffles and then people touch everything with their germy hands. No thanks.
I'll spend our "social time" out in open air spaces like strolling around the neighborhood and lakes. You know, since eventually, spring will be here.
Hi all just peeking in, playing catch up to 400 posts. Apparently I feel like I miss something if I skim through. I want to say good luck to everyone in L&D and going in for inductions and RCS's.
Update on Zaniyah and I: first night home (2 night out of womb) we woke up only twice for feeding and diaper changing. I pumped both times and excited to say I am producing more colostrum and have high hopes milk will come in this time. If I am lucky to have a night sleeper (fingers crossed) I definitely have to set a alarm to remember to pump.
@MrsStanton87 I know the feeling. I've never had cramps in my life, just lucky I guess. The only time I thought I had them it turned out to be appendicitis... Whoops!

I'm the phone addict in our house. You just described my life...hangs head in shame.

Oh or do the call ahead and have the store grab everything for you and do curb side pickup!
But he got a new job that furnishes him with a phone with unlimited data. So now it's worse and I can't get rid of his work phone
If he doesn't make a serious effort to pick me and his daughter over his phone you can bet in dragging him to counceling.
At one point I turned on the Bluetooth and some other features so his battery would die quicker...
I Lectured him and started crying. It was a long hour commute.
Then went to bed without cooking him supper.
I've gotten a foot rub the last two nights. Not sure how long that will last.
@lia619 FX the urine catch is fine.
