@tallaB. I'm working until the bitter end too. Although, we are on spring break the week after I'm due, so if baby hasn't come by the end of spring break, I'll be 41w5d and there's no way in HELL I'm going back to work for a day before I would have to be induced.

Today is a local election day, so I stopped by my polling place to vote over lunch. I got two comments from the volunteers.

"So, how far along are you, about 18 weeks?" Uh, no, actually I'm due in 19 days.

"You may be voting for two, but that doesn't mean you get to vote twice!" This one made me laugh.

I feel like hibernating, no longer want to be around people. Even DH, who has been amazing and fantastic this whole pregnancy is pissing me off today!!!

We have an ant issue - which means we have to be super strict about being clean EVERYWHERE, the ants are even going for dead flies if we don't clean up in time (ewwww)

I admit, this was my fault, last night I fed our cat, and didn't put her dish in water (we usually set it in another dish with water, keeps the ants away from her food) but as we had several ant free days I thought it might be worth the risk.

DH get up before me this morning, brings me breakfast in bed, and tells me that my plan didn't work, meaning ants were again inside. Ok, silly me. I get up finally about an hour later and he hasn't cleaned up!! He just left for me to clean up! cause you know its easy for me to get down to clean that shit up. Still, I can't complain because its my fault right. Also he did the dishes yesterday after cooking but he never put away the dishes I had washed earlier that day. So when I got up, I had a HUGE pile of dishes to put away!! why can't you put away the clean ones first!!!!

Now he is working (he works from home). I have been suggesting for WEEKS that he moves into the spare room while I'm home because I'll want to watch TV while on leave, and they are shows he doesn't like - not a lot else to do really - but he hasn't and is refusing. I am now fuming that to watch TV I have to wear these awful cordless headphones that weigh a ton, and the battery only lasts like 2 hrs. My other option is to watch on my laptop with another pair of headphones that only one ear works most of the time, and then I can't Bump and watch TV!!!

Yes First World Problems, especially as DH is being pretty amazing about the whole thing, but I'm growing a person here!!!!

My poor mother. She will be a first time grandma and every time I say something is sore or aches she immediately jumps to, "It's contractions!! You're in labour!"

I had to explain that I wasn't in labour just because my left hip hurt.... I think this pregnancy has been harder on her then on me!

I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher last night, got all of the pots and pans cleaned and drying in the drying rack. When we finished eating dinner, DH left his dirty plates on the counter right over the partially loaded dishwasher. Dude, I JUST got the kitchen clean. You can spend 45 seconds putting your plates in the dishwasher.

MIL texted me to invite us to dinner on Thursday. I said sure as long as I feel ok and explained my uterus situation. She immediately freaked out and told me I should come to their house every day while DH works.
Um, no thanks. Not on any level.
My in laws wanted nothing to do with me until about 6 months into my pregnancy. They didn't try to get to know me when DH and I were dating or engaged.
Sorry/not sorry but you don't get to just jump right in because of this kid. Though she's using my family's love language of buying us shit to try and win us over. Thanks for the stuff, but ya can't buy love!

Thanks for the sympathy! I think I just needed a rant. I know it sux to be working right up, but I think part of me is envious. Its nice being home with my feet up (MW orders!) but I'm bored! I turn into a brat when I'm bored. And I would rather be working! I'm like this if I'm sick as well.

To be fair, its nicer to be bored at home than work. TP to your boss for not giving you anything to do! Dude (chick???), if thats the case, let Twirple go home!

My Boss (dude) will let me go home, but I have to use my saved up leave time if I do. This does not detract from my maternity leave, but these leave hours are cashed out to cover my insurance benefits while I'm out. If I don't have any saved up leave, I have to repay the company when I get back to work.

@avidkeo we had an ant issue last year and got this stuff called Terro you put a little bit of liquid goo on little pads around the house (I put them under things so my DD couldn't get at them) and it helped way more then any of the other million methods we used! It's worth it if you can get it. I would be so pissed if my SO left the mess for me definite TP.
