Seriously?! FIL drew in my washer/dryer. I know they're old and to be replaced but don't draw on my stuff dood :-q This is going to be a LONG 6+m! He doesn't even play with Azeem. And I still can't walk away from him because FIL doesn't even watch him. imageimage

Who the F does that? This is the most ridiculous $hit I've seen!

@EmAzeem‌ your FIL is from Lebanon, right? Maybe he marked it so he can remember where it needs to start a cycle?

  • @WorkinIt‌, I could have written that. I am so over BF but I feel like I don't have a say in the matter. My supply has dropped but LO has a very picky palate he won't take frozen BM unless its less that 1 month old I have a ton but it will be wasted. He also will not take formula. I feel like the only way to wean him would be to do it abruptly and that seems so stressful for him. I don't think it would make sense if he could nurse sometimes but sometimes could not since I SAH with him. I also feel guilty because BF comes so easy to us and most of my reasons for wanting to stop are selfish. This is such a difficult decision.

  • @tttwalters Of course! She's lucky to have a friend like you!!
  • @tttwalters‌ prayers and good vibes coming your way.
  • @tttwalters‌, praying for your friend.

  • @subliminalrabbit‌ If it makes you feel better, when I started weaning I realized just how robust my supply was. It was funny because for so long you stress about losing your supply and then when I started weaning it wouldn't go away! I'm certain that I could have stalled at nursing 2x a day and I would have kept my supply enough to do that for a long time. Our LOs are old enough that for the most part our bodies will adjust and keep going. Also, it has always seemed like you have a gREAT supply, so I totally think you'd be fine to pump wean!

  • So I went to the doctor yesterday to get my ribs checked out and apparently I pulled the cartilage between my ribs. That means Tylenol and pain for a little bit. At least it's not fractured! And Grayson has another nasty cold :(

  • @ColieAnn31‌, glad it's nothing serious but it sucks to just manage the pain until it goes away. Hope it heals fast!

  • @ColieAnn31‌ ouch! I'm sorry! I hope you and Grayson feel better soon!

  • I did 100 burpees on Tuesday because I haven't had a good window to workout or run this week. I can barely walk now. Guess those are a good workout!
Also @Steamboat1679‌ DH does the same with dishes and it kills me. I've sometimes let just his pile up and do the boys and mine and he does them. It kills me to leave them but it makes a point.

  • @Steamboat1679‌ mine is "tomorrow morning before work." Because, you know, he totally wakes up early to help out around the house and is a great morning person. (Need sarcasm font).
Plus he uses like the largest possible plate or utensil for his post dinner snacks which drives me nuts because of how much more sink and dishwasher space it uses. Like he used a full dinner plate for half a brownie last night.

  • @sctiger‌, my LO will be 10 months next week as well. I have been gently trying to wean and he wants no part of it. I end up feeling guilty and giving in he's got me wrapped around his finger.

  • Mommy fail of the day:

J likes to "help" me empty the dishwasher.  Well, apparently the pod didn't dissolve all the way (which I didn't notice) and I looked over and she had it in her mouth.  I had to call poison control.  Luckily I think she barely got any in her mouth but I still felt like a horrible mommy :(

  • @kelly422 I hope she is OK!  We let B help unload the dishwasher too, but we've been using regular liquid detergent.  I've heard a lot of stories of kids (older than our LO's) mistaking those pods for candy so I'm already freaked out about that.

@libberluru No way!!  Amazing!  How old is he?  I'm worried B is going to be an early walker, but I was hoping I still had a month or two before that happened.

  • @kelly422‌ that is scary. A reminder to everyone to keep all pill bottles out of reach. My neighbour just told me she found her 4 year old with an open bottle of Advil. She thought it was a fluke so gave him a closed bottle to see what would happen (supervised). He had no problem opening up the "kid-proof" lid. Scary!

  • @cl8badb I'm gonna piggyback off of you and tell y'all what my pedi said about WCM.

The reason they say to wait is because now until about one they are getting their nutrients from formula/breast milk. Around one they start the shift to getting their nutrients from the food they eat. So, basically whenever that happens (at 11, 11.5, 13 months...) is when you can make the switch. It's mostly a quantity issue because they shouldn't be drinking as much WCM as formula/breast milk because it blocks their absorption of iron in large quantities. That's also why they test for anemia at 12 months.

So, those of you with toddlers who drink a ton of milk (raises hand) how much is too much? She said that the guideline is under 30, 24 oz is what is recommended, up to 30.

Did anyone else hear anything different?

Im counting down my breastfeeding days too. J will be 11 months on the 9th. Im going to begin the switch over to cows milk and i honesty cant wait. I want ALL THE DAIRY. ALL THE CHEESE! Nomnomnom. I was only planning to breastfeed for 3 months, 6 months tops! so 11/11.5 months is a big deal!
I will figure out how to send you some good Wisconsin cheese for your dairy eating party!

  • Your checking rectally?

  • @HoneyB1993‌
I don't remember where you live, but if you are in the eastern time zone, I would call pedi again to see if she needs to be checked out before they close. That high of a fever plus not drinking as much as normal seems scary to this ftm.
