Ok so I need you ladies opinion. I am using a big convertible car seat to bring baby home, I know how to install from using it with my now 3 yr old. I currently do a lot of driving family to and from work and can't install the seat until probably the car ride home. Do you ladies think I'll be able to install it then?
I seriously hate insurance companies. Why do I pay money for you to basically cover zero?!?! Also hating the Mercy hospital system. And totally regretting not having DH and I on the same plan so he could handle this disaster. Ugh!!! So frustrating!!! X(
So I need to bite the bullet on my amazon registry and use my completion coupon, but I keep freaking out that I'm forgetting something. Which is silly, because obviously DS survived without whatever it is I'm imagining I need to add to the list.
The big thing I'm getting is a Boba carrier because I hated our ring sling. It says it has an infant insert, but I've also heard wraps are best for newborns. Does anyone have a Boba? And can say how it works with newborns? I think the biggest thing I'm going back and forth on is if I should also buy a wrap...
ditto. I keep thinking I should add more stuff since I get 15% off but really I think we have everything we need.
Can't you get supply type stuff? Wipes, diapers, etc?
Random question related to your accent/Dr. Who talk in the other thread.
Totally unrelated, but slightly related to the accent talk, but, does anyone without an American accent ever thing American accents are sexy? I have this odd feeling that most of our accents are more attractive on ladies. Or have we just over saturated our accents by spamming our movies all over the world?

Our hospital had techs that checked the car seat before we left - it seems like that would be fine. Can you have the seat on the trunk or will someone bring it to you at the hospital? As long as you'll have it there!
I will place it in the trunk at 37 weeks just to be safe. Here they dont check the car seat, just wheel you out and verify there is a seat...lol

Haha, good question!
Cant answer for everyone obviously, but personally, sorry I don't find the american accent sexy, but then when watching movies or TV shows I find it hard to actually HEAR the accent... just sounds normal. Unless it is a show where the leads are played by other countries - e.g. Captain Jack in Doctor Who - or everyone apart from the kiwis in Flight of the Concords.
I'm sure some people find the American accent sexy, but can't say I've heard anyone recently say anything like that.
But to be fair the only accents I have EVER heard described as Sexy is Irish, Scottish, British (not for kiwis...) and Aussies!

I just caught up as I've been MIA all day - staining shelves for Peanut's room, dinner with some good friends (yay!) and yoga. ((Hugs)) to everyone who needs them, and I'll do some DH beating for anyone who needs it; I can be pretty scary apparently >:/

@celticlullaby I just got the k'tan from the diapers.com sale a few weeks ago and am pretty excited to try it. A friend gave me her baby bjorn so I am thinking a wrap and a carrier should hopefully give me options to see what I (and baby) like best. I say order the Boba with your discount because you can always return it.
I hear ya on registry completion. I finished my Target one this week and just went through the store and used my iphone to add things I wanted a discount on by scanning the barcode. I added my PP big panties to my registry for the extra 10% off because why not?

Arg....I just noticed stretch marks on the under side of my belly. I don't know how long they've been there because I can only see them leaning and looking in the mirror. I was hoping I was going to make it through unscathed but apparently not so lucky. Oh well!
I'm miserable. My sweet tooth is raging and I have absolutely no sweets in the house. Ahhh!
No sweets?! Were you robbed?? I can not imagine this EVER happening!
I was trying to "cut back" but this obviously isn't going to happen. Hah. I'll be hitting the store first thing tomorrow to re-stock my snack/sweets drawer.
SO was three hours late to come home tonight (because he's an idiot). I secretly wish my water had broken so he could come home to an empty house with me in the hospital. That would've been sweet payback. On a side note I clearly have the maturity of a teenager. Don't care.
I've had a chicken and veggies roasting in the oven all afternoon, with the intention of having a nice candlelit dinner. Went upstairs and took a bath and when I came back down to the kitchen DH was making himself fettuccine alfredo because he "saw a lemon inside the chicken" and decided he wouldn't like dinner.
I guess I'll have plenty of leftovers for lunches this week. And, I still have every intention of lighting candles for my romantic dinner for one.

I'll take all the dark meat please and thank you. I'll bring dessert.

After buying a second car seat base on amazon, found one that must have been purchased online and returned at the store at target for nearly half the price!! Excited but irritated I didn't find it until after I already bought and received the first one.
DH came home from the store with a 6 pack of Blue Moon. Ugh. I love Blue Moon. I really want one but I'm on antibiotics :-( Why Blue moon DH?!? Why are you tempting me :-(
DH redeemed himself by moving furniture, putting together the crib, and driving me to the grocery store in the snow...thank goodness.
On a side note, if you haven't seen it before, and don't mind killing brain cells, watch the "Wild wonderful Whites of West Virginia". It's good middle of the night tv viewing.
My DH has been gaining a little bit of weight these last few months and this morning our 16 mo old climbed up on his lab, lifted his shirt, patted his belly and said "baby!" Lol
I sorted through and got rid of clothes in our bedroom along with a bunch of junk. Basically just weeding to get rid of stuff before we move our bedroom downstairs so DS can take over our room upstairs. I also got the kitchen cleaned and DS's laundry folded. All things I have been putting off for several days.
DH has been moving stuff from the downstairs bedroom (his office) to make room for our furniture. It has been 3 weeks that he has been doing that. I thought it would take a weekend. He's totally stressed about the whole thing because he has too much stuff and doesn't know what to get rid of. The good thing for me is, when I told him that we had 35 days to go, he started hitting it hard today. Looks like we'll be able to move our furniture next weekend, and move DS into his new room the following weekend.
It's probably a good thing I haven't helped him in the office more. If I had, he would only have about half his stuff left. I'm in total purge mode. I seriously just want to throw away everything! I am so tired of all of our stuff that we never use.
Now I'm making split pea soup with french bread for dinner. It is one of DH's favorite meals. Hoping it will help him relax and let him know I appreciate his efforts. Granted, we wanted all of his done in February so that DS could get used to the new room before the baby takes over his current room.

I feel like a bad RTT bumper! I've been posting questions all week and have not been very supportive of others! I've been taking but not giving!
Sorry ladies!! Hopefully this makes up for it.
I've been waiting for more pics of Luke!!! Has your day gotten better?
Yes! My mom came over and did All The Things! DH let me nap this morning, then forced me to nap this evening. He is resting up now before we hit the sack. I've been given permission to kick him to get him moving! We'll see how tonight goes!
