35/35 today!

I have had my bag packed since Wednesday. After spending a few hours in L&D a while back I definitely made myself go buy the travel toiletries and am now trying to be in the habit of having said bag with me if I have a doc appt or am going anywhere more than ten minutes from home. It's kind of like my security blanket now.

35/35 for me today, too!

My bag is in the crib... but ready to go. Except that I just realized there is no underwear in it so I guess I'll add that today. I haven't put it in a car because I don't know if we will go in my car of DH's car, since he would be driving.

Same with the carseat. We have two bases, one for each car, but the seat is still in the house because I'm afraid we would take the wrong car if I installed it.

Confession: I threw in one pair as an afterthought, but I figure before kiddo shows up, I'm kinda gonna be going commando out of necessity, and after, I really don't think I have a clue how actually ginormous the pads they give you will be... I'm banking on those mesh panties working out for me, cause I refuse to buy huge hospital granny panties, and I don't think my ass and a giant pad will fit in my maternity granny panties.

DD is walking around in only her rain boots singing "everything is awesome" from the lego movie. I know I should think it's cute, but as of right now I want to hulk smash everything.

We are going to a wedding when I'm 38 weeks. I'm a little nervous, which is why we are only going as guests--they originally asked me to do a reading during the service. Both the church and reception hall are actually closer to my hospital than our apartment, and we plan on bringing the car seat and labor bag just in case.

Do you think there is anything else I should be aware of? I practically set this couple up seven years ago, and to DH's surprise, there is seriously NOTHING that will make me miss this wedding. Short of being in labor or recovering at the hospital. I just hope LO stays in here just a few more weeks!

I probably *should* pack a backup bag just in case something goes wrong and I get rushed to the ER, but at that point I doubt that I'll really care about having one anyway.

I went to rehearsal last night and I think everyone is making bets on whether I go into labor before, during, or after our upcoming concert (38w5d). I think some of them are secretly hoping for a dramatic water-breaking scene during the final piece.

My best friend and her H have decided to start trying to have a baby. The thing is, she is the type who over analyzes everything and is worrying right from the beginning. I know from personal experience that it takes longer to get pregnant when you are stressed about everything. What should I say to her to get her to take it easy?

@snmetz7‌ i would tell her exactly that. Remind her that there are lots of people who can and will support her. Share the positive things about your pregnancy as well as the challenges you've overcome. Be honest, but also remind her that pregnancy is different for everyone and there's no way to plan for every aspect of it.

I can't remember if I already brought this up so sorry if it's a repeat story. Hospital bags reminded me.

Went to walmart and got six pairs of 96 cent underwear. My SO refused to even go look for underwear with me so when I met him in the aisle I basically yelled "Do you think I need a large or medium? Which one?" and held the pairs of granny panties on my butt while bending over the cart and switching from large to medium repeatedly. I guarantee the thought in his head was "I'm stuck with this for 18 years...." hahahaha

@aronie82‌ stay strong girl!!! Good luck! Went to 33 week check up... After measuring ahead for 2 months, now measuring small? Sonogram in 45 minutes for growth scan. Annoyed at my dr cause a student was doing my measurements the past 2 times and he never double checked... Was she doing it wrong? Am I overanalyzing? I will find out soon enough... Wish me luck.

I had a dream last night that people were coming over and my house looked like an abandoned hoarder house with bugs and crap everywhere. I was trying to clean as much as possible and my Mom and MIL were so horrified by it they offered to help clean but I couldn't find any of my cleaning supplies in the mess. I think nesting (the crazies) has permeated the deepest parts of my mind and is now causing nightmares!

Today has been annoying. DH is pissing me off...He's acting all pissy to me because I apparently wasn't listening while he was ranting about some stupid documentary he watched last night. I'm sorry, I've been working all morning and have been insanely busy. I'm stressed out about a whole bunch of other things going on, I just would like to have a stress free lunch break- so no, I don't really care about whatever stupid internet documentary you watched last night at the moment!!! As for my hospital bag, it's been packed for a couple weeka. Dh kept having nightmares about me going into labor so begged me to pack one. I have in it slippers, flip flops, 2 pajama sets (nursing friendly), maternity jeans and top for going home, a bottle of wine, wine opener, mini shower kit, mascara, and pjs for DH. I also have a bag for the babies which include a pajama set, swaddling blanket, hat, nail files and clippers, and onsie and pants.

Exactly this. My friend is the same way. She over analyzes, and I told her the same thing. She also has issues with her platelet counts on a regular basis, so she's been hearing the same thing from her doctors as well - stressing and focusing on the negative will only make it harder.

So, I'm teaching one of my language groups for students with autism about homographs. I asked one student to tell me the meanings for deer/dear. He said "deer like an animal and dear like your wife when you say Dear, where are my pants?". I still laugh thinking about it.

I went from measuring ahead the whole pregnancy to a week behind at my 34 week appointment. Dr didn't think anything of it. Hopefully your worries are calmed at the growth scan!

Perhaps it is just because different people made the measurments. Slightly different techniques maybe?

I seriously want to put a door on my cube just so my one PM can't wander in and stand behind me unannounced. She has no boundaries whatsoever, and it's not like I don't know she's there, but FFS just stop and knock and give me a chance to finish without you breathing down my neck!!!

I'm not nice, but I can totally understand why she is still single - she'd make anybody crazy!
