There have been a lot of people complaining about a lack of movement from baby lately. My baby literally has not STOPPED moving at all for the last three hours. It feels like he is slamming his body against my insides. I keep getting punches and kicks so hard I think he is going to break my water. Wtf.
OK random BRU question, I would call the store but they aren't open right now and I' going to be at work all day so just thought maybe one of you knew the answer. Last week I special ordered my Glider and was told that the conversion kit and guard rail for my crib were on back order. Today I get an e-mail saying these items were no longer available. But I already paid for the glider...do you think the items are all just special order items? I was told the conversion kit and guard rail would be able to be special ordered for at least a year since the crib just got discontinued. And I can't imagine paying for an item and then having them say "Oh just kidding, can't have" Ugh just stressed for no reason now, thanks for anyone who has dealt with this before!
I'd reach out to the manufacturer, cause you may have to order directly from them. We had to order the side rails for the full size conversion (ours came w/the toddler rail) from the manufacturer rather than BRU, cause thats just the way they do things.

This is me! When my doctor asks about kick counting I just laugh and say "He hasn't stopped for the last hour!"
Me too. I don't bother with kick counts at all. I have more than ten movements in just two minutes. He never stops. I worry that he is majorly hyperactive! Tonight has been the longest stretch of movements yet. Three hours and counting.
It is going to be in the mid 50's here tomorrow! I am so excited to be able to open my windows and get the car cleaned out and just enjoy OUTSIDE tomorrow! I can't WAIT! I might wear flip flops just because!

I plan on doing the same thing after work. I want to get the truck cleaned out and the baby seat installed while it is 50 and sunny! Hooray for a little spring-ish weather!
I hate that moment when you look in the mirror and wonder if you're actually having twins...
I had the busiest day at work, I twinged my back in the morning and I hurt all over. Currently soaking in a bath, wonder if I can convince DH to give me a foot rub?
Sorry, just neaded a moan. Carry on!

I love chiropractors I think they are a godsend and sometimes the only way I can get relief from previous volleyball injuries I my shoulders and my neck( due to big boobies) that said I probably will not be adjusting my baby.

I have never seen one personally but I don't doubt the practice. It just weirds me out seeing her do it to a 1 week old! She posts pics of her toddler having it done too. It is weird to me...

Oh I agree. Babies/ toddlers don't need adjustments. I was responding more to @avidkeo who said she doesn't believe in them

I'm probably irrationally scared of chiropractors and won't go to one (though, normally I go religiously to a really good massage therapist.) I believe they do work well for a lot of people. Have it done on a baby seems ridiculous and dangerous.
I'm going to my swim class in a little while so I'm waiting to shower there. I cannot HANDLE the smell of my hair right now. I don't get it. Do I normally smell like this and don't notice it, or is it pregnancy making me smell more?! YUCK! Going 24 hours with just one shower is getting to be impossible to me. I would take more, but, my skin would get so dry!
I'm going to assume and collect all the love tits from all over you even though I can't see love tits. I know you'll all be so happy for me.... I pooped! It's been like 4 days of praying and crying. It finally happened.
::Takes a bow, collects all the thrown roses, exits stage left::
This is me! Right this minute, at 5:40am. Yay for poop! Boo hiss tthough at what time it is.
I'm over this whole working right up until the baby is born thing... I have zero motivation and no patience to deal with customers or clients. I just want to do baby related stuff!! ( Insert appropriate smiley emoticon... Stupid mobile bumping) ...
There is a local store that has a Facebook group that I really, really love and they are all about chiropractors for kiddos.. And not just a few, a huge group. They swear the adjustments have helped with numerous problems like sleep, colic, etc and babies are happier after it's done. Totally scares me to death, but I don't think it's unheard of-at least around here. My anatomy teacher from college was like "you can die from an adjustment" and I was traumatized for life.
In other news, I've been so MIA that I just wake up to read all the hundreds of posts in the middle of the night but can't even respond because it's all so old.
In case any of you were going to be in a wedding coming up while still pregnant, take my advice and DONT DO IT. That was my weekend-stuffed like a sausage in a dress and heels for hours on end. My body hates me right now and is punishing me with no sleep.
Re: Chiropractors
I get having it done. Babies are all jammed up in there, plus the "trauma" of birth, it makes sense to me that things might get out of place. And for people who go to a chiro regularly and get great relief from them, they just want the same for their babies.
I get that. I'm just spooked by cracking. I don't even like when my knuckles crack. :-/
Target PSA: text upandup to 827438 and get a $15 off $40 on up and up products. Doesn't seen like there's a lot of restrictions either.
Also I wish my baby was still going nuts in there I feel like he's so squished he's toned down & every time I sit down to do kick counts he rolls or does 10 in 2 mins he's messing with my head.
These posts about last day of work are making me super jealous. I have to work until birth and my due date is 4/30. So I probably have another 7+ weeks to go. Work has been incredibly busy and stressful lately. No one is taking it easy on me and I've been working 50+ hour weeks for the past month and I don't see it ending. Insert bawling gif here.
