  • I can't eat food any more, just ice, because I always feel like I'm going to puke fire.

This is me every night lately! TMI time--I have been waking up with acid reflux vomit every night which is already completely disgusting but the other night I woke up to acid reflux vomit coming out of my nose!!!! So gross.... I suppose I should call my dr....

  • Since I haven't been working, DH has been working NON STOP we've spent the very short time we had together doing everything side by side. I feel like I'm disconnected with my old work friends, and DH is the same with his group. But we see so little of each other, and obviously with the baby coming we're going to be even more removed from everyone for a small period while we try to adjust.

So I wonder do most of you spend most of your time with your DH/SO or is there a specific activity or day that you go your separate ways and do something just for yourselves? If so what is it you find yourself doing?

I typically meet up with friends for lunch. That way it is technically during the work day and no actual time is spend away from him. On occasion ill take a Sunday afternoon for some pampering (Mani/pedi, massage, retail therapy) and take a couple hours to myself.

  • @mamamanzo I feel like DH and I are like that too. April starts his busy season at work and with the lo I won't be able to hang out there like I used to.

At this point I'm ok with it. My life is going to change anyway. But I do go to prenatal yoga once a week. That's my alone time.
  • @mamamonzo we spend most of our free time together, but he and I will use Saturdays to do things separately. When he's done with something he will take over watching DD so I can go do something. We have friends over quite a bit too. Lately, though, we've both been hermits and are nesting.
  • Nachos!!!!!!!!

Well i just ate enough for about 7 people. Frresh jalapeños, sour cream, beef, beans, lots of cheese!

Yea. Since I've been on leave, I go out to lunch with friends, skype with friends, crochet, I go to swim class. Sometimes I'll go somewhere, but, generally, he's working more now so he has the car. But my DH and I totally spend most of our time together. (Although, right now we're together, but, I'm on TB and he's watching Reggie Watts videos on Youtube.)

  • Ugh I hate uncertainty in life! I'm trying to decide my next 6 months. My DH goes away for work for 6 weeks in May, comes home for 4 weeks, leaves for 6 more weeks and then we move somewhere in the country but don't know where. I have two choices during that. I can drive to FL (10 hours away) and stay in my parents guest house for the first 6 weeks and then come back to NC to spend the 4 weeks with DH and then stay here for 6 weeks by myself with a 2 year old, newborn and 2 dogs. OR I can pack my house up, end my lease (it's ending right about then) and go to FL in May and just stay there until we move in Sept. We could save a ton of money andmy mom is a housewife so she'd be there to help me, not to mention my ENTIRE family lives within 5 mins driving. However, I'd be away from my DH for like 4 months and my DH would miss 4 months with our DS and DS2. He might be able to come down and visit for a week or 2 in between classes, but we don't know for sure. What do I do?!??...wow that was long, sorry.
  • Oh my! Good luck @LuckySquare! Hopefully the rest and water calm the BH down. (((hugs)))

  • @MrsStanton87 take Tums first (or, I prefer Rolaids) then chow down! Taking them before I eat makes all the difference, for me at least.
  • The elective c section thread on the third tri board has some bad information floating around. It hurts my brain.

One of my co-worker's sons is named Braxton.  Blech.
    Is his middle name Hicks?

Haha, it's Ryder.  Another no-no name in my book.

  • I guess that's what it is, unless I am actually going to puke fire
Sounds like it. Call your doctor. You can totally get relief from it :-)
You don't even need to call your doc! Just go to Target/Walgreens/Rite-Aide/Sav-on/Walmart/the grocery store! Zantac or Pepcid AC, over the counter, baby!! SWEET RELIEF!

  • Blah. Threw my hospital bag together just now.

Having pretty regular (10 minutes apart), non-painful BH, so I'm drinking water and laying down for a bit hoping they subside. Have notified hubby and called L&D just in case, and I'm reprimanding my uterus and baby, telling both that at least two more weeks of "tummy time" is necessary before anything is allowed to happen.

This was me on Saturday night... Hopefully the BH chill out and you can get some rest! The L&D nurses said that women come in all the time and then the BH stop, and they get to go home. Fingers crossed you have an uneventful evening, or at the very least if you do have to go in, you just get to hear a healthy heartbeat and they tell you how perfect your LO is before they clear you to go home and take it easy. :)

Girl, talk to your doctor. Get a prescription. LIFE CHANGING! I promise!
I agree 100%.  I started prilosec on Friday and it is life changing.  No more reflux and I can sleep again.  It's magical.
