I think I need to make a cheat sheet so I can remember everyone's skills. Workinit for dental stuff, Kelly for doc stuff, numbers girl for decorating, Chicago chic for grammar questions, etc. We are some talented bishes.
When i was a toddler i drew a picture and when the teacher asked me what it was i said "a bottle of wine for my mommy"... My mom was mortified bc she was afraid that they would think that she had a drinking problem!
@CL8BadB, I drew a picture of my dad going to the office and my mom going to the bank. And guess what, my mom did not work at the bank!

This made me all warm and fuzzy inside. I've never had a useful skill! Most people don't care about actuarial skillz.
I don't know if this is sad or not, but in so looking forward to tomorrow night. Hubby is going out so as soon as n goes to bed it's me time! Wine, cookie butter, and Scandal marathon! Can't wait!
This is how my awesome night is going: trapped on a couch under a boxer/bulldog and J, watching Dane Cook, trying not to laugh too loudly and wake J up....oh, and I have to pee
@cricket81 yes. We flew to Miami from Boston when g was 10 months. We checked it through. I wore him in the ergo and we put the pnp in the umbrella stroller to get everyone to check in. It wasn't that bad with 2 parents and one kid.
@cricket81 I never brought a pack n play with me but I do travel all of the time with my bjorn travel crib. It folds down to the size of a pack n play. I just check it like checked luggage.

Awww my baby will not cuddle with me like this. Has to be on the boob or up walking around.... Can't wait for that to change. Hope you got to pee before a bladder explosion!
@zigspective I'm trying to think of some way I can help with your sippy cup dilemma. K loves the sippy. Hers is the nuk brand and it has handles which is a huge help for holding it up. Have you tried to physically show her how to use it? That is how k learned. Daddy made her do it on her own (he physically put her hands on it and helped her tip it up) because enabler mommy was holding it up for her while she spread her arms out, open mouthed, like a baby bird waiting for a worm. Lol.
Anyone want a really cute 3.5 year old? DS has already managed to make me count to 10 and it's barely 9 AM.
Want to just switch? Sometimes it's just a nice change if pace to hear a different toddler whining or shouting. I suggested a "snow day toddler exchange" for friends in sledding or walking distance from our house and it is a big hit! Kids are always better for other parents anyway!
@wasnotwas DS is terrified of time out. We make it happen in a chair in his room by himself and he hates it so much. So usually the threat of time out results in a positive behavior change.
Is it bad I wish it resulted in him walking away?
Haha my friends always laugh because all it takes is me saying "alright, fine" and he cuts the shit...iron fisted Was over here
@wasnotwas and @42butterflies time out doesn't work here. He told me last week "sometimes I'm fresh with my teachers. I don't care if I'm on the naughty list." He's very much like Cartman from South Park, "I do what I want!" I hate it but the only thing that works is threatening a spanking. We've only done it once and I've only threatening it like 3-4 times but he definitely stops the crazy then. He's very smart for his age but since it all kind of evens out by kindergarten I've often said there is really no reward for a smart 3 year old! High school? You get a scholarship for that but 3? Yeah you just get mentally exhausted parents!
@Zigspective are you holding her or just handing it to her? With Joseph we had to hold him for two days giving it to him before he could sit in his chair and take it himself.
I'm laying in bed and I can hear my 5 year old upstairs doing flirty girl fitness... Don't even know where he found my DVD. I guess I'll just let this one ride out.
Better than finding a porn. DH and I need to do a serious house sweep before DS1 figures out how to use the DVD player. I mean he's already talking about his dad's huge penis at school so I can't imagine what he'd tell his teachers next!
Ahhhhh! I just got a new job offer! Waiting to see what the salary would be to see if it would work. I really hope they come up with the money because I am drooling over a 5 minute commute while still staying part time! I wouldn't even have to change the daycare schedule or anything. C'mon big money big money big money! Did I mention the job is at a flipping children's museum that we are already members at and my son loves? It couldn't be more perfect!
@gigglejiggle haha, I had a few and he had a few and we merged collections. There is a small shoe box of DVDs somewhere but we can't even remember where it is. Also there are some x-rated pics we took in college that I really can't find and are stressing me out! They may have even been on storage at my parents house. I kind of don't want to think about what may have happened to them. The more important thing is probably erasing the history from the iPad before we put it in the fisher price toddler case
@libberluru Glad to hear no explosion yet I think I'll be going down to one nursing a day soon and I'm anxious about it. Maybe if I stress about it, the stress will help dry me up
Ella is refusing all milk (bottle, syringe, spoon) today. She's taken an ounce today, I've called the dr and they said she's being stubborn and she'll be fine, but being 3 hrs away is stressing me out! She's happy and eating solids, just wants nothing to do with milk that isn't my boob. Trying so hard to enjoy our weekend away, but this is hard!! Just needed to share.
Don't worry, she won't starve herself. G was the same way for weeks on the days I went back to work and only ate solids in my absence. Other than being a punky little toddler he's fine!
I am about to leave for date night for the first time since December 3rd (and even then we got home to put the kids to bed). I am beyond thrilled about not cooking dinner, not cleaning up dinner and not putting the boys to bed. And oh, duh, massive amounts of wine.
I love all these date nights! We had ours last night - went wine tasting. And we are putting the last plans together for our trip to the Carribbean in 3 weeks! We will be away from N for 6 nights, which will be so hard, but I'm looking forward to it so much!
My goddaughter's mother was found dead in her bed this morning. She is only 38 and I have no idea what could have happened. Please pray for my goddaughter and her 3 siblings. My goddaughter is 14 and her dad is my best male friend. He has been a single dad since she was 6 months old but she is also close to her mom. Thanks in advance for your thoughts and prayers.
