I got a complaint at work once because a colleague and friend of mine did something wrong and I was confronted about it (he was not) and didn't apologize. Oh, this was all about going through a door he was not allowed to go through. So yes, the workplace is full of children. Fuck that, I don't apologize for other people's mistakes.

Had a repeat growth scan today....baby is measuring 15th percentile, and doctor brought up the possibility of induction at 37 weeks. I am 35 weeks today. I could have a baby in 2 weeks. Shit just got real.

usually growth scans are for people that are high risk during this pregnancy or had a prior high risk pregnancy. If you're normal, you probably won't be getting any more after week 20, although it does depend on your practice.

Yea. Its only for high risk here :-) I think its perfectly normal to have the last u/s at 20 weeks.

I don't know what's "normal" because this is my first pregnancy, but at my office, the Dr. orders an ultrasound at every appointment...for everyone. So, I have had an ultrasound once a month since 12 weeks. At 33 weeks, he said we'd do a full growth scan just to see how everything looked, and LO's abdomen was measuring very small (though head was normal). Today, he told me this is not normal and wanted to do more measurements. Head is still on track, but abdomen is still small (though not as far behind as it was 2 weeks ago). He said he is concerned about IUGR (which they diagnose when the baby falls below the 10th percentile), so I'll be going back more frequently more measurements.

I know every practice is different, they just have not mentioned ultrasounds other than the anatomy scan and I was curious. I have Crohn's disease and am a frequent flyer at the hospital/doctor, so it's uncharted territory for me that something medical related is not complicated by my body issues.

I totally get this! I have lupus and its weird to be "normal" in anything!! And also quite nice.

My parents, the food pushers, are criticizing my sugar intake. I knew this trip home was too good to be true! Example: my dad told me to "have some bowl with that ice cream" last night. And then today, our pedicures were next to a Starbucks and my mom laughed at me saying the baby wanted a chocolate croissant. Apparently, they think if I cut back on the sweets I would be hungrier for "real food".

False. If it were up to the baby and I, dinner would have consisted of a chocolate fondue last night. Washed down by a gigantic blue Icee.

And then they were marveling at how I passed my glucose tests. With my dad being diabetic I've had to do it twice. He is convinced I cheated. Ugh!! They have so little sugar in the house on top of it, and I feel like there is nothing to snack on!

I sure do hate the DMV... Well, I can't find the closest DMV to the auditors office 30 minute away from home, and my phone is dying, and they close in an hour. No way I'm gonna get my stuff taken care of with that timeline. Guess ill just have to go home and eat something instead.
