Inspired by the other thread. my mom thinks its strange/wrong that I put DD's food on her tray (it's should be on a plate) and let her feed herself with her fingers (I should feed her with a fork or spoon for everything). When we are over there my mom insists on feeding DD finger foods with a fork. I'my trying to just let her go with it, but it bugs me. Especially because DD will eat a lot faster that way and then I don't get to enjoy my meal because once she finished she won't stay in the highchair. I also don't like that she is judging how I let DD eat.
@araziza My MIL insisted on feeding M the other day 'because he was hungry' which any time he is remotely upset he is 'hungry'. And I just said to her I want him to eat with me in 6 minutes when dinner is done so we can eat together! She didn't listen but said she would calm him down in his high chair if that happened. Well it happened so I held her to it. She played with him while I ate!!
@subliminalrabbit that is awesome! But I feel like the bushy browns can only work if you wear makeup. And in the meantime I would need to colour them in or something until they fully grow back. I just can't handle it!!
LO has been super gassy and having a bit of diarrhea. He is nursing fine and having plenty of wet diapers. Is this something we just ride out or is there a point here I should call te pedi? He had a fever on Friday but it's been gone since Saturday.
Only at night! The mosquitoes won't bug you during the day! At least not here in Wine country
It is because you live in wine country, the mosquitoes are too drunk to bite. Come up north and you can not escape. I am not sure what is worse though, -30 temperature for like the third month in a row, or plus 30 and crazy ass bugs... Sorry I am hating on Canada today, I just am bitter, and cold and bitter cold.
@tttwalters I go up your way every summer and I never noticed! Maybe I'm also too drunk?? I mean at night yeah it is bad but during the day? Do I need to send you some wine??
@tttwalter You got to come live in the smog of the city, the mosquitos only come out in the evening and it's usually about 10degrees warmer (and 10cm less snow) than up north in the winter. @wasnotwas you must let us know when you come visit next. I smell a bumpie get together.

If MH gets his way it will be sometime this summer for sure!!
KJ has basically been asleep since we were a block away from daycare at 6pm. When we got home I woke her up and she didn't want to play on the floor like she normally does. When I sat her down she looked up at me and started crying. Then she nursed for a while and went to sleep. Even when I detached her and put her pjs on she just whined a little and fell right back asleep. She normally sleeps through the night but I think this might be a teething thing. I am afraid of what the night will bring....
I'm here but about to be gone for the day. My 8th graders can suck it. Staying at home with my teething crying *almost* 9 month old would feel like a vacation at this point. :-q
Yesterday I heard that daylight savings is on March 9. WTF when did that happen!!! I finally have LO sleeping well and now the time change is going to screw with it all. Just thought I'd pass on the happy news if you haven't peeked ahead in your calendar.

Being sick when you have kids is like torture. Being sick when you have kids that are also sick is unbearable. I need spring so I can open some windows and air this place out.
I love middle school, but this "crop" of kids are terrible. The high school in this district is dangerous at times, so no way would I volunteer to teach up there!
Re: The thread of all threads!
I think next time I will point out that no one is going to feed her in daycare, she needs to learn to feed herself.
Don't listen! I will take you to our family cottage in Minden, OT. Have a corn roast, eat some peameal...heaven
