Thanks guys. You're right. I need to erase my feelings and start over new. I'm looking forward to giving it a go with DS, but if it doesn't work out, I need to know not to be ashamed or let down.
Been so busy working an overtime incentive trying to get extra money for maternity leave and haven't been on the bump-- come back and there's actual babies in the birth announcement thread. Shit just got real! I'm happy for once I'm a cabooser I have so much left to do!
@kseccomb17 I also had issues with BFing/pumping for my first baby. My supply was low but I was stubborn and I struggled through it for ~10 months or so before it just didn't seem worth it anymore (it seemed depressing at that point rather than empowering) and I gave up. Like PP said, what happened the first time won't necessarily happen the next time. We'll do the best we can and see what happens.

I really appreciate that! I struggled with low supply also, but only lasted about 5 months. My PPA was so out of control that it affected my supply and "want" to do it. I'm hoping that having a plan for my anxiety this time around will really help.
I know the ladies on FB have seen this already but I just wanted to share my excitement!! I went to BRU today and got our son's car seat and stroller. The best part is I only paid $87 for the car seat that is normally $150 and I paid $160 for the stroller that is normally $250. I am SO pumped! This is the set we got. I've already pushed DD around in the house in it and it glides/ maneuvers so well.
I fell like such a brat, but want to break down and cry. DH said today when he got home he was going to take his "pretty pretty wife out to eat" I got all excited showered, makeup, hair an then let him pick where he wanted to go. The drive thru at Culvers.... Really???

Oh HELL no. I hope he makes it up to you. Going through a drive through does not constitute "out to eat."

Well, poop. I was enjoying being DH's sweet nurse until his fever spiked within twenty minutes and he started projectile vomiting. Now I feel bad for being secretly happy he felt so poopy. At urgent care waiting to be seen now. Poor fella.

I know! I feel bad because I've controlled the pick for 8 months so I thought I was being nice... I cried at culvers and felt so stupid I couldn't even tell him why.
PSA: Based upon my expert analysis (read: stalking March '14's board), A14 is approximately one month away from a steady stream of L&D/Birth Announcement posts. You may all breathe into your paper bags now.

I accidentally got on the wrong bus today so I had to get off to transfer. Talk about pregnancy brain! I transfered at a stop in front of a gelato shop so i of course had to get some while waiting for my real bus to come. Soooooo good! Made lemonade out of lemons and it was an awesome commute!
EDIT: P-brain again, lemonade out of lemons not lemons out of lemonade! Lol!
Is it too early to put in car seat??? I'm 32 and a few days we just got it in the mail today!
We have the base installed in the car, but not the actual seat in there. It gives me peace of mind to know it's one less thing to worry about. I'm high risk for pre term labor and my DH is gone all the time for work so it was easiest to do it when he had time. With my DS, our car was actually in the shop so we had a rental car and we forgot the seat at home. Our friends went and got it and my DH had to figure out how to install it in our rental.
AW post---So I had my growth ultrasound today.....LO wouldn't cooperate, so we didn't really get a good look at his face, but we were able to see that he has a full head of hair! He was super active the whole time and at one point, it looked like he kicked himself in the head... DH and I couldn't stop laughing!
The u/s tech estimated his current weight at about 5 lbs and if I go on my expected due date (4/1)...she expects he'll be about 8lbs...
@p&b715 - I wouldn't yet. God forbid you get into an accident between now and then, you would potentially have to replace it. I also really liked a point someone made a while ago, that they didn't want to get used to leaving the car seat in the car without baby all the time, and then have to "remember" to take it out when the baby is here. Which sounds insane, but is more common than you think.
@ColleenSwerb what about just installing the base of the seat?
If you got into an accident you'd still have to replace the base.

Today I made my greatest Target purchase EVER. There was a pair of hot pink silky pajamas in a size that will accommodate my growing self that were on clearance for $3. I just need you all to know that for the low price of $3, I have instantly become the fourth member of TLC in the "Creep" video.
Our exciting Friday night: going to SAMs and getting the largest bag of Reese's eggs I've ever seen. Then topping it off with a trip to dunkin for 50 all chocolate munchkins for breakfast tomorrow. (We are probably 20 of them on the ride home)
Apparently my mom told my grandma and aunt what we are naming DD2 which is fine I don't care. But today she was at my grandmas with my aunt when I called her. I hear my aunt yell that Leighton Parker sounds like a boy name. To which I reply that sucks. Then my grandma and aunt start yelling different L names. I just kept saying no. Then my mom had the nerve to tell me "well I guess you can look in a baby name book." That really pissed me off but I nicely but firmly said " I don't need to keep looking she has a name." Please F off people. I don't care what you say thanks. %-(

Still playing catch up, but just wanted to AW for a sec. Don't have any money to buy my friend a gift for her shower tomorrow, but have a yarn stock that rivals Joann Fabric; so after finding out that their nursery theme is Superman, I decided to crochet her a newborn photo prop instead - cape w/logo, diaper cover w/belt, and baby legs. Do you think she'll like it?
Anyone else in the line of these storms? We just got put under a tornado watch. It is crazy hot and windy here. Looks like I will be up late.
Where are you? It looks like we're going to get a little bit of it later tonight. I love thunderstorms. A week after an ice storm is a little weird but whatever.
We are supposed to get thunder snow here in Minnesota. It's crazy stuff.
We just had thunder snow here in CO 2 days ago! SO awesome.
Ugly crying. My friend who lost her first daughter to a rare genetic disease just found out her 5 month old son has life threatening cancer. I couldn't imagine her pain. I wish there was something I could do.

Oh, don't think I didn't blast this and dance around my house like I was in the video... However, I will admit that I kept my top buttoned, because my pregnant belly hanging out the bottom would have ruined the moment.
Hey guys, just checking in. Thank you so much for your continued thoughts and prayers, I had a crap ton of notifications this morning since I haven't been able to log in the last couple of days. It's been brutal.
I had my NST yesterday morning and while I was there, I was contracting so I told the nurse what's been going on and she put in a call to my OB. It's been decided that with all of the emotional and mental stress my body is under, I need to really concentrate on making the physical stress as less as possible, so I'm on modified bedrest for the next few weeks.
We had the viewing last night and the Funeral is this morning. My husband is giving the Eulogy, he is struggling so much, and there's only so much I can do for him. It's breaking my heart. Today's going to be another hard, brutal day.
