  • I haven't done laundry in over a week. We're moving tomorrow, all of our extra clothes are packed. With that being said, I went without panties yesterday.

Also, I know this isn't the place for it, but I know it will be seen. I bought a new computer yesterday, just a cheapie as mine died unexpectedly, now I can't bump from the computer. Idk if its the bump or my computer, it keeps telling me a body is required. Anyone know what's up?

Have a dr appointment today and she think DH and i have been trying for about 7-8 months when it has only been 3.
Heard how many issues others had with getting a referral from you dr and wishing you had told them you had been trying longer.

I have a Microsoft Surface and when I updated my software, Internet Explorer did the same thing to me.  I'd type a response, hit enter and it would turn red and say "A body is required."

I downloaded a different web browser and that works just fine.

Do you use Internet Explorer?  Try Firefox or Chrome.  If you're limited in choices (like me on the Surface), I'm using something called "Platinum Browser."  It's bare-bones, but gets the job done.
    Thank you @Joy2611!

Why? What is the expected outcome? Three months is not that long. It can take a year for a healthily couple to get pregnant. Slow down the impatience. You sound like an ass here.
:( Eek sorry. Didn't mean to come off as an assistant or impatient :(I had just seen posts about others saying it took forever to get a referral and seriously never expected my doctor to do anything until it was further along. She has other concerns with out ttc journey but I did cancel the appointment. Flame free days can be just the smack upside the head that one needs. Thanks ladies for the smack. (not meant to be sarcasm!)
Right. Presumably though they'd already waited 12 months. ;)

I have no confessions today. I'm lame.

But this and you are fucked up. That's all I have to contribute.  Please save the appointment space for the people who NEED the appointments and actually have issues that need addressed.

  • Yes I canceled. You all made a very valid point. I have other issues my dr was going to have looked at further and I was not going to a RE but an OB.
  • If it was just an OB appointment, then I'd go ahead and re-schedule @pudgybunny.  If you have other health issues that are going on that may impact TTC (there is nothing wrong with having a pre-conception appt to address these things).  But ditto on the others if it was an R.E. appt.
Yes just an OB appointment. Sorry for the confusion and totally understand the flame had it been RE. Regardless my family practice dr thinks we have been trying longer and I need to clarify with her that while it had been 7-8 since we started the TTC process only 3 months were actively trying.
  • E spilled brown sugar all of the floor yesterday, while I was in the bathroom. Hubby was at a work function so I did the best to clean it up and then just let me dogs upstairs to lick up the rest!
  • @pudgybunny  WTF

So you husband is also getting an SA done even though he was already checked by a doctor and told all was fine?

And I doubt in the span of 20 minutes you canceled your appt. If you have an *actual* issue you should see a doctor, but you have yet to say what your concerns are.
Not trying to White Knight for pudgybunny but my RE told DH that the SA done for him (ordered by my OBGYN and run through our hospital system) was not very sophsticated. I forget what he said they didnt' test for that he normally has them run. But that could be what she's talking about.

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!

My husband was the one that has wanted a SA done, I supported him and he doesn't always follow through so for his peace of mind I was hoping he would. He never did it though. He is currently going through a medical issue so the dr may want a SA we will see. @scsmith2011thanks but no it was just blood work he had done years ago not an SA. He has never had a SA.

Yes I canceled my OB appointment within the 20 mins.

I will set up a different appointment at a later date for a pre-conception appt with an OB to talk about husband's medical issue as we get more info about it and a few concerns on my end. DH age being one of them.

  • I'm a nurse in a nicu and a couple of times I have kissed someone else's baby on the head. Eek
DS was in the NICU for a little bit because he was a preemie. Your confession actually makes me smile just thinking about it! Recovering from an emergency csection, I couldn't be by his side as much as I wanted to. Knowing how much you care brightens my day! I'm sure all the parents who have babies in the hospital would appreciate knowing someone cares that much!
Actually my reaction wasn't like that at all. I appreciate the nurses and love that they care but that's not appropriate. A common cold could be deadly. Bodily fluids should not be in contact with my kid.
Your babies face dragging along the inside of your vagina would to do a LOT more harm than a peck on the head.

A peck on the head isn't going to hurt a baby.

Unless he's 80, his age is not an issue.

Quit being a wannbe infertile. And you've been asked several times what your "issues" are and you won't say them. So I'm guessing impatience and lack of sense.

    *********

Good to know about the age thing. Thought the phrase was 'it can take a healthy couple under 35 up to a year to get pregnant' so i though age played a role for the wife and the husband.

Concerns: our weight, my cm, my husband's health issues, family history.

    ETA Quote didn't work.
  • In the vein of @macylynn27 making us super heroes in her head, If your SN doesn't read like "normal" words in my head, I make up something I can pronounce easily.

For example, @brettanomyces is Brett Anonymous, @tairairat is Tara Rat (sorry!), @FemShep is Fem Sheep (I know that SN is easy to pronounce but I always see sheep), @Diordra is just Dora, @MeatandBandP is Meat and Potatoes, and @peledreamsofrain is Pedals in the Rain.

There are others but I'm mobile right now and looking up SNs so I can tag correctly is difficult!

Haha I love this! I probably did pedal around in the rain as a kid, my parents never could get me to come inside.

    But being born vaginally is?

    No. I was exaggerating.

  • While I am staying home and looking for work, my eating habits have deteriorated horribly.  Lunch yesterday was chocolate twizzlers.  Breakfast the day before was leftover pad thai.  And I've been spending more time the last few days playing Threes than applying for jobs.

    Also baaaa @happyhour73 ;)
