All in all, it hasn't been a terribly bad day. Subtract out the lower back pain on my left side, and I'm ok with how today is going. I'd still like some cake though!

And @WifeofaComposer is there any way we could start another birth thread since no one has posted an actual birth story yet? Not to be all OCD - even though I am - but since it's currently a "made you look" and us rehashing how we want our birth thread to go, can we get a do over and keep it nice and clean for birth stories only? Yes? No? Is it just me?

Not just you! I'm guilty of participating, but it makes my OCD-but-not-really side a little bit twitchy as well. I was just thinking yesterday "at this rate the birth stories will start on page 2."

I think the initials are fine for a baby. People really don't see or hear the middle name much at all. Of course, I'm really liking a boys name that would give him the initials FEM and am not thrilled about that.

At my last appointment I managed to do the start and stop, then start again into the cup without getting it on the outside of the cup or my hand. I had a conscience thought that this was amazing and would probably never happen again, and then I felt sad that I was so pleased with myself for this "accomplishment".

Can I join the Grumpy Tuesday Club? I'm about to head off to a state-mandated re-employment session. I had to do one a couple years ago and it's the biggest time sick EVER if you are a millennial/Gen-Y'er. They teach you how to search ONLINE for jobs! And how to network! And ask you to identify things that are holding you back from finding a job.

Well, I can think of one huge reason right now, and it is kicking me like crazy this morning. If only I could be looking for jobs right now that wouldn't start until late summer/fall I think this job search would be much easier! Lame. At least they'll have snacks.

Also, considering joining a gym to be able to swim laps? I'm in MN, so outdoor swimming season only lasts like 2 months. I need to get my BP down before I go into labor, and I think swimming would be a low-impact way to exercise after the baby, too. Thoughts??

Omg Tuesday is officially worse than Monday. DH got all the ice off the roof then I found water dripping in the pantry coming through the door frame!? What the actual fuck? Our tax return usually goes right to savings, looks like this year it's going to a contractor.

Trying really hard to not join the grumpiness today. I hope this day turns around for all of you! Last night, I was panicked to get home through a blizzard, dreading getting stuck in the alley and unable to pull into my parking spot. With DH out of town, I knew there was a whole lotta shoveling in my future. But lo and behold, while I was out at work, my sweet neighbor sweet-talked the guys across the way to plow both of our parking spots. I'm still beaming from happiness!

Sometimes super shitty weather is such a good reminder that there are good people in the world

Good luck! DH removed a huge section of dry wall and insulation, now it's leaking again because the snow is melting, but hopefully he can get it patched this weekend. Ugh. Feeling your sucky roof pain today.

Ugh - HR just emailed me and included the line "if we are not able to continue your vacation pay while on maternity, we will need to work out something for paying the premiums before you go on leave." WTH?! Last time we talked it would be short-term disability supplemented by vacation time so I'd still be getting my full salary, and now it's if??!! That's going to make finances really sucky at our house - my Tuesday just went into the toilet thinking about that mess... :-L
