So much this. For the first time in a LONG time, I actually stripped off my shirt as well as my pants to sleep, and still wound up having DH go get the floor fan for me. He was all snuggled in a nest of blankets, I was loving the cool breeze. :P

Ladies who knit question: I got 2 blankets yesterday. I feel like I should wash them but don't know how. I don't know what kind of yarn they used. Should they go in the dryer or should I lay then flat to dry?

I've been working my ass off the past two days and now I'm worried because LO isn't moving as much. I drank coffee and laid down for a little bit. He was moving but still not like normal. Ugh.. I think I'm going to pull out the Doppler just for peace of mind.

Update: I found his heart beat. I guess I was just too busy to notice him moving.

This has been me the last couple days too but she's reassuring me today by being super active. I even had to pull out the Doppler but actually have a hard time distinguishing what is the heartbeat now. I hear a lot of other hb-like things. :-/

Ugh baby's r us got me again!
Went in for a travel system and came out spending 1000
At least the travel system was on sale for 150 off
Now all little boy needs is bath stuff and diapers oh and for his father to paint his room so all of these purchases can come out of the boxes

At SAMs club today DH found filet for what he considered a good price so he got it! He never lets me get steak, he always says it's too expensive. So we decided to have an early Valentine's Day dinner! I'm even going to make homemade cake with homemade frosting! We're eating good tonight!

Reading some articles today about studies on family size and the well being of only children.. It's nice to see the perspective that if one and done is best for your family, that's ok and you won't be screwing your kid, and if you want tons of kids, that's ok too! My only kid is gonna be great. And fuck all those nosy bitches who swear I'm gonna change my mind. If I do, it's none of their damn business.

That's what I said when I got my BFP. Then I thought for a second and I had to remind myself that it was a good thing! Maybe it was because I had just bought beer to enjoy on a Friday after work along with a pregnancy test. That beer is still sitting in my fridge.

DH and I had just went to the liquor store and were going to celebrate our first night in our new townhouse. Something told me to take a pregnancy test before drinking and sure enough - immediate BFP. My vodka has been sitting and waiting patiently on our liquor shelf.

Haha - I had the same "holy crap" reaction with this BFP, probably because we had literally talked about starting to really actively try just the next month, because I assumed we'd missed the window in July!

Grocery shopping has gotten to the point of being exhausting. But I do love having food in the house again. Now I need to start making the lasagna soup I had promised DH but I soooo just want to veg on the couch. He's been painting for hours this weekend so the least I can do is make some soup.

Yesterday my DH asked what I wanted for valentines day and I told him nothing. I woke up this morning at 3am and knew what I wanted so I told him on the way to church. I want ice cream cake!!!

I'm glad baby is fine! Hopefully you can find some relief for your back pain. Did the doctor give you any suggestions? I love your idea of ice cream cake for valentine's day. We are staying in for a chill valentine's night on Friday so I think that calls for ice cream cake. Thanks for the idea!

HEY GIRLS!!! I missed you all today. It's my niece's birthday and I just got back from her party. It was so much fun. There were lots of babies there and I just wanted to squeeze all of them.

On another note: I need to bitch about my mother yet again. I over heard her and my sister talking about the guest list for my shower (which my mother is not helping to plan) and my mother seriously told my sister to take some relatives who she isn't speaking to off the list because she doesn't wanna be uncomfortable at the shower. So my sister was all, "umm mother it's not about you, it's DEIDRE'S shower" and my mom was all "I don't care that it's not my shower. It's my daughter's shower and I don't want them there". My fucking mother just annoys the shit out of me. She ALWAYS finds a way to make shit about her. ALWAYS!!!
