I'm sorry Lindsay. Take care of your husband. At least you're uncle was able to spend his last moments with his wife. My grandma passed away the same way last year and my aunt passed away the day before yesterday the same way, all by herself in her building.
And I'm sorry @deidremaria. It's hard to grasp when it's so unexpected. In those situations, we can only hope that there wasn't much pain since it was so fast.
Worst heartburn/indigestion I have ever experienced at 1 am this morning. Finally after about 30 minutes of walking around it finally went away. Poor DH didn't know what was going on when I walked out to the living room in tears. But I was so impressed, he started doing all the coping techniques we've been practicing for labor. Almost glad that happened. I feel like we're prepared now.
I'm sorry about your HB! Happy about your DH though.
DH's uncle passed away yesterday. He was only 51 and had a sudden heart attack in the living room next to his wife. He had passed by the time the ambulance got there. T&P would be appreciated. It is all so sad. We just saw him at our wedding in July and stayed at their house a few weeks after.

My pubic bone popped three times today. I didn't even know it could DO that. Kinda hurt, but also relieved a lot of the pressure I've ha there the past few days. Did anyone know it could do that?
This has been happening to me pretty regularly. Freaked me out the first couple times, but it does seem to alleviate the almost-constant pelvic pain so I guess I'm okay with it.

Trying not to cry, but it's not working. The last few days, it doesn't matter what I eat, no matter how much insulin I take, my blood sugar levels keep rising. I took 75 units of insulin before bed last night and STILL woke up with a fasting # of 157. I emailed my Dr. right away and I have to increase my meal time insulin to 1 unit of insulin for every 2 grams of carbs (translation. Shit ton of insulin) and 80 units at night. Ugh. This just sucks and the fact that it's Type 1 and not GD just frustrates me even more that I have to deal with this shit the rest of my life. I need a fluffy nest
@aviola329 - Doing a quick cost-benefit analysis leads me to think the wheelchair would be a good deal. Think about how much it costs to visit the park, and if you could only walk around for a couple hours, it seems like a waste of admission and the day in general. Plus, think of how comfy you'd be in a scooter! And more room for storage and souvenirs!
@aviola329 Do it. Not only will you feel better, you won't wear yourself out so much that you'll be recovering for a week. Think of it as a longer term investment :-)
So according to my 5 yr old, he's been watching Dexter at his daycare lady's house ... I am none too happy about this as he's telling me about the different characters and shooting bad guys and sharp things and blood etc. Sooooo not appropriate, even if it's just on in the background or whatever! That's what DVR, Netflix etc is for. I will definitely be having a talk with her when we get back to town. One irritated mama here!
I am seven seasons in on Netflix.. And I would be uncomfortable with a 13 year old watching it, let alone a five year old!! So inappropriate. Watch your R material on your own time, lady. She owes you an apology, a refund, and you need a new daycare!
DH wants me to decide by tonight if we are renting one of the electric wheelchair/scooter things at Disneyland tomorrow and Monday. Basically would cost $100 for the two days we're there. Ouch....but at the same time I'm worried about getting halfway through the day and being in too much pain to enjoy the park...and we're gonna be pushing DSS in the stroller so getting a cheaper push wheelchair is not really an option.
WWA14D?
I would just wear really good shoes, eat often and stay hydrated!
Hopefully, if its not too crowded, we're going to try the new Turkish restaurant tonight. So happy we're getting more ethnically diverse restaurants. (Just hope its good!!)

We tried a Nigerian restaurant that just opened and it was amazing! Hopefully yours turns out well too! I'm always scared to try new places, but it was really delicious.
In weird news, our wedding has just blown up... We got married last April, but for some reason this week it was featured on a bunch of different sites/blogs/etc and is all over everything. I've been getting calls and emails and I'm like "What? Wedding?? I'm so confused, I'm planning for baby..." Ten months later? It's so random. I don't have time for wedding stuff, I'm in baby mode!
We have snow caked to our dish..... Again. No way my pregnant ass is getting on the roof. Welp guess ill watch The Help on DVR for the 100th time. Doesn't get old!

Oh hell no! I'd be mad. I don't think I am old enough to watch Dexter (shudder). I got irritated when a high school friend of mine bragged about watching the Walking Dead with his 6 year old. What happened to Sesame Street and cartoons?

I had no idea but that kind of sounds awesome. I'm a big fan of popping any bones though. I want to go to the chiro just so they can pop my entire body.
@J&NL I now think that you're both kind of weird and the sort person that would be really fun to hang out with.

Aviola I would do it. I am in no condition to stand through even a whole day of teaching, much less fisneyland for days. You'll be more comfy and have more fun.

My cousin had her baby at 5:42 this morning. I got a call at 1am asking if I could come watch her other two kids (this was prearranged, not unexpected). So I've been hanging with her boys this morning. I'm having lunch with a friend in a little bit, and then I'm in serious need of a nap. I'm so tired! I want to meet the baby, but it probably won't be until later tonight
Turkish place will have to wait. It was SO crowded. So, we went for thai. :-) Then DH had to go back to work for the night (there's a festival going on now) and I bought ice cream on the way home. YES!

You pretty much described me to the T! but hey, someone has to be the weird one.
I've gotten a few cards and I got the blanket WOAC donated to Fiona! The weather has been horrible her in MI. We've missed mail 3 days this weeks. You still have time to send cards if you planned on doing so. @serenla has picked a beautiful necklace, and I'm contacting St. Judes on Monday for the donation! I will update with a total as soon as I know! Xoxo thanks for everything ladies!
