@fireflygirl12 and @aprilmay09 We have definitely considered that but we travel a lot and our dog has to come with us so we really need extra space. I mean if it comes down to the last minute and we still haven't gotten into something bigger than thats what we'll do.
It sucks because I feel like we were forced into this car due to our circumstances at the time. When we got it, it was because we had totaled our previous car by hitting a deer and we were without a car completely. DH is getting a promotion next month that comes with a significant pay rasie from what he makes now so that shoukd help us....I'm just hitting panic mode right now.

Yay! Passed my GTT! And James is kicking away with a strong heartbeat of 154. Found out from the nurse that my new doctor is super old school and is the only one in the practice who delivers his own patients 24/7.
Went to the dentist which means I avoided eating a couple hours before the appt. Now I'm sitting at Panera eating everything in sight, as fast as my hungry tum tum can take it! I saw someone with a pickle so I went to the counter and begged for one. Pre pregnancy I never would have done that. I also got a cinnamon roll for the drive home. ">
@Mamamonzo - My mouth literally started watering when I read the word "pickle". I'm now going to drive by the meat shop on my way to pick up DH just because they have those giant deli pickles there! Thanks for putting that idea into my head
I'm doing a Facebook like and share contest with a basket for my work... Trouble is, i don't know what to put in the basket! I work for a daycare, so I'm thinking items for an adult woman, adult man and a child... Anyone have any suggestions of what they would put in it?? Haha
Also, it's a snow day and I want cheesecake badly. The roads are "treacherous" so not worth going out... Booooo

I'm really annoyed that I've seen my doctor once this whole pregnancy. I love the nurse practitioner I see every appointment but shouldn't I know my doctor a little bit?

DD and I have influenza. Fml. We both had flu shots in October. This should be illegal.
Oh honey!!! I'm so sorry. If its anything like the strain I had it is no fun at all... I hope they gave you the Tamiflu, it really works well to knock out the duration and severity!

Really?! Do they say that is normal for your office? I have seen my Doctor at every single appointment.
@toothpastechica great idea! Maybe to cover all our bases, we'll do 3 baskets over a couple of months... ie: a child one now with lots of neat stuff, a girly one closer to Mother's Day, and then a manly one closer to Father's Day? Hmm lots to ponder

Since Outback didn't work out on date night, I picked up takeout from there today. They have some Wednesday special that's three courses for some ungodly cheap price, but for some reason I thought I needed a sweet potato and a Bloomin Onion to share with DH as well. Umm... I think I have half the menu here.
We always try to go there on Wednesday! I love their cheese fries!! And now I want Outback instead of what I am making for dinner. Wonder if I can talk him into it....
I haven't asked why. But I will at my next appointment. At my old ob I saw a doctor every time. (There were 5 or 6 doctors that worked there and any of the them could be on call) I'm going to be mad if the next time I see him is when I push this baby out.
DH likes to rest his head on the bump now when he gets home from work, while I rub his head and we decompress from the day.. I mentioned that he could talk to the kiddo if he wanted. His response, "baby, did you know that you are drinking your own poop in there?"
@KendraColeslaw everytime I see your name I want coleslaw...even though I hate the texture of it. It always looks so good!
Since you brought up coleslaw I need to say that it baffles me. You add mayo to tuna you have tuna salad, potatoes/potato salad, chicken/chicken salad. You take a salad, shred it and ad mayo? It's now coleslaw.
My in-laws call it cabbage salad if it makes you feel any better.

I have a good waddle going due to my hip and sciatic pain. I need a good come back for when people say I shouldn't hurt/be so uncomfortable because I have sooo much longer to go. I fail at being witty and clever. Help!
Who said there had to be a timeline for when we can start feeling crappy!?People suck! Waddle on sister!!
Has anyone heard of the book "12 hours by 12 weeks"? My SIL said she bought it for us because she swears by it. It's supposed to be a book about your kid sleeping well.
Eta: I read a quick review on the book and it's basically setting a strict eating/sleeping schedule for your baby. However, I'm BF so I'm not sure how they expect me to go 12 hours at night without feeding. Kind of stupid if you ask me. I'll admit, her kid does sleep a lot but strict schedules are not for me. I feed on demand especially when they're that little.
Question: maybe TMI but spotting after a cervix check is normal right? Everything looked great apparently, but a few hours later and I've been having a little reddish brown spotting. They told me it might happen, especially since this was my first appt and they did both a finger internal exam and used a speculum. Ugh it just feels so tender still. :-/
@mrsl13 - can you not schedule an appt with the dr specifically? Like I rotate through all 5 drs and there's also a midwife I can see. My choice. They just recommend seeing everyone because there's no knowing who will be on call when I go into labor.
Possibly. But every time I go to set up my appointment they just set me up with my nurse practitioner. And last time when we said we wanted a certain day they said the women I normally see wasn't working and that I could see a different nurse.

i've heard it's common. i haven't experienced it myself because my doc does minimal checks and has yet to do one, but i know i've read about it!

Welp went grocery shopping Sunday, and I manage to wait until tonight to finish off the Doritos. Whoop 2 points for not eating them in one sitting like last time!

Aiden: mom, do you know how much I love you?
Me: how much?
Aiden: you are the cheese for my macaroni. That means I love you a lot.
I freaking love this crazy kid.
