My lower back is killing me! Like a terrrible shooting pain. It's excruciating! I have so much to get done around the house and all I want to do is lay on a heating pad. This suck didilly ucks Flanders!
DH is taking me to "Frozen" to keep my spirits up tonight, and my friend is taking me to "Saving Mr Banks" tomorrow before brunch. Plus I realized there will be no having to wake up early and go out in the cold on Monday.
It'll be nice to not have to waste 30+ minutes both ways commuting and have my breakfast and coffee at home. I may have to buy some footie pajamas to celebrate my new "job"!
DH and I are buying a minivan! Toyota Sienna. We've been looking for a while, found one we liked and could afford, and after yesterday we wanted to be prepared if Tommy comes early. Will post a pic soon, we're very excited because the deal is great and we're almost breaking even trading in my current car.
Welcome to the dark side I've been driving a mini van since my oldest was about 9 months old.
I hate when people are all 'oh, its chemicals! eek!' and 'you shouldnt eat it if you cant pronounce it!' and then dont realize that "chemical" is really just like, yeast. Or something completely harmless. To sum that up, I don't like ignorance. LOL. I had Subway while reading that atricle. Suck on that! HAHA!
FOR REAL. Like "the olives contain ferrous gluconate...of which the sole purpose is to keep the olives black." Well, "ferrous" just means "iron," and "gluconate" is just the salt of gluconic acid, which occurs naturally in plenty of organic foods, like fruit and honey. As a food additive, it's an acidity regulator.
A lot of these are not actual "chemicals", but rather organic compounds that are presented in their scientific names.

Mom to 10 year old DS and 7 year old DD. Twin girls coming soon!
In 10 months we are moving into a house and will get another dog. Right now my only fur baby is less than 10 lbs fully grown. We are torn between another small dog or a bigger pup. We are researching sooooo many dogs.

It's soooo much fun having one of each size. You'll be surprised how affectionate big dogs are. When my rottie and my little "chihuahua mix" (that's what her profile from the shelter says) are playing I sometimes worry that he'll hurt her but they know eachother's boundaries. Since we had her longer she's totally the boss. It'll be so cute when you see your little dog bossin around your big one. Our dogs are best friends.

I really do hope so. We took in a foster (male and large) and he hated him. I was truelly scared to leave them alone out of fear he'd bite. I am having him fixed next month and hope it curbs his aggression. He is really timid around my aunts female chihuahua, so it might just be a territory thing with males.
@pineconey 100g of protein?! Holy crap! That sounds constipating lol. My doctor told me about 70g, which is already a struggle. I definitely read labels constantly now to make sure I'm getting enough. I want to rip my hair when I read that most delicious food is just "2g" gahhhh
Eggs for breakfast, egg salad/tuna salad/chicken salad sandwich or any salad with some sort of meat in it for lunch, then baked pistachio (or almond/cashew/pecan/whatever - all nuts are protein!)-encrusted chicken, with baked beans w/bacon as a side. There's some protein for ya!
I want a minivan so bad, and DH is totally against it. IDK why though, it's not like he would be driving it most of the time. Ugh.
My DH was totally against it until we got one as a rental car for a trip. He fell in love with it's ride and amount of room in it....and auto sliding doors are amazing

That was my argument as well, it worked We were thinking of down sizing and then I got pregnant again. We are going to be getting a new van this year, can't wait.

I hated them until a car rental mix up gave me one last year. Key fob door opener? Hells yeah! DH is still adamantly opposed since they're so hard to work on (he repairs all our... everything.)
In other words, I just need a job good enough to get one with a warranty
Our current van is a 2003, aside from the radiator, my husband has done all of the repairs. With over 150,000 and 10 years, we love it. It's been paid off since 2008 and we usually have to do one repair a year. *knock on wood*. He's a computer network guy, so cars aren't really his thing, but thanks to You Tube and some repair guide he bought on Amazon, he's been able to take care of things and saved us a shit ton of money in the process.

TOTALLY a dominant male thing. Don't get me wrong, when Oso came home with us at first Faith was a bitch to him but that's natural. She was just letting him know that it's her place and she makes the rules I guess. I know someone whose male shitzhu has a serious big dog complex. He HATES big dogs and always tries to fight em. You may have to get your new dog when he/she is a puppy and it may be easier to get a girl. Fixing your current dog will be a big help too

That is so funny... I really do think he has a complex. My fur baby was bought from a breeder and swore the next would be a shelter dog. I am definitely looking for a female, we have been looking at what is available at the local shelters and finding it hard to find one younger than a year.
I probably shouldn't be entertained by how pissy she is getting, but I am. Does that make me a bad person?
The responses to her first post are even more juicy. The thing is her timing isn't right. I am not one to judge if she really did quit smoking when she found out but according to her first post she continued to smoke pot for quite a while after she found out...
I just ate 2 giant pieces of pizza and I'm fighting the urge to get up and get more... I also just realized that the majority of my posts on here are about food.... I need to get a hobby...

That's my issue too (and probably part of why I'm finding it entertaining). It's one thing to do something like that, and stop when you find out you are expecting, but it's kinda something else to just keep doing the taboo thing for a few months.
I'm not perfect either, I mean, I drank pretty much every night, but once I found out I was pregnant, I stopped drinking. Have I had a glass here and there, or a few sips of someone else's drink? Yea, but I wouldn't have done it if my doctor hadn't given me a green light.
I'm totally judging. It's not that it's pot, or even when she stopped (I was judging before all that) - it's that the reaction to realizing she was smoking weed pregnant was, "Can they catch me?" not "Is my baby ok?"
I wish we could get GC on that thread. I bet her advice would be epic.
HA! I think her reaction would be something along this....
Woah! Sorry! Didn't see all the questions! @poru@KatieGummow and @LittleLady77 and I. We've already decided to order the whole menu and share everything.

Came home from the in-laws to take care of the dog for a bit before heading back to visit with BIL who's in from out of town. Instead I laid down because my tummy was sore and now I'm up and nauseous/heartburn/hungry....ugh I hate this. I'm paranoid that it's something to do with my amnio yesterday, but it could just be normal pregnancy crap.
Hoping it is just normal pregnancy crap!

My guess is normal pregnancy crap because I feel like that all the time but I hope you feel better |)

So apparently I'm heading to L&D to get checked out tonight. I've been having BH for the past 2 days, and apparently since it's coupled with some cramping, I have to go in to get monitored and have my cervix checked. I totally thought it was no big deal and sent my OB an email as an FYI. I hate having to try to decide what the best thing is to do, but I guess we'll err on the side of caution. At least I'll be able to catch up on today's RTT while I'm sitting there not doing anything.
Oh, and one more thing. I was totally annoyed today when one of my friends posted on FB that her husband is OMG so amazing b/c she has the flu and so her DH took care of everything for the kids all day. No kidding, he's the dad. I hate it when people post things like that because it just makes the guys think the kids are always our responsibility.

Hope all goes well. Probably will, but T&P for you!
our CD store is having a sale today - 30% off preowned diapers. but i don't know that i have the desire to get dressed and drive there before they close in an hour. they'll probably have another sale before april... right?
@pineconey - are you on the Facebook B/S/T page for CDs? It's called Cloth Diaper Swap and has over 27,000 members and there is activity pretty much 24/7. I've gotten some amazing deals off of EUC diapers. If there is a specific kind you are looking for, there are also B/S/T pages devoted to just those (like Bumgenius, Blueberry, Rumparooz, Charlie Banana, etc). There is also a newborn b/s/t page and lots of co-ops where you can order really cheap newborn AIOs.

One of my biggest pet peeves is people always say to me: you are so lucky your DH is so involved. We work similar hours (him a little more cause I do kid pickup and drop off), I take 65% of the house and kid related stuff. And I can guarantee you no one ever says to him: you are so lucky your wife is so involved. I am happy with our balance, but I feel like people think that I should be grateful and he should feel like a hero.
THIS! I mean, yes, I feel lucky, because I know a lot of woman would love to have an awesome, attentive husband, but that's really not luck. That's the result of picking a guy who wants to love me and meet my needs, and who is willing to do the hard work of working on our relationship, grow with me, make sacrifices, and do this whole life thing together. I'm not lucky because men are helpless, hopeless, and I happened to luck out by marrying the one who actually wants to be an equal partner in our marriage. I appreciate him for everything he does, but he appreciates me just as much. In fact, I asked him today if he minded that he's having to do so much more around the house right now, and he was like, "Heck no! You're carrying a baby! I wouldn't trade with you for anything!" And he tells me when things are hard how much he appreciates me going through this for us.
Ok, I've gotten very off topic. But yes, @poru, I don't get why men should be treated like heroes for being an equal partner in their own households. 'Scuse me, my feminist is showing.
