Update on me to all who were waiting: Went to the drs office. They did some junk and checked me and sent me to the hospital. Contractions every two mins but not dilated. Now I'm hooked up to monitors getting ultrasounds and more shots. I get another shot in 20 mins. I'm going on procardia (spelling?). That's all I've heard so far. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
hugs.. keeping you in my thoughts! let us know..
make sure DH bring you a phone charger so TB can keep you occupied in there!
September Siggy Challenge: What I Sing in the Shower: Little Mermaid "Part Of That World"
I think I lied about 12 weeks... Actually pretty sure I bought maternity jeans at 7 or 8 weeks and never looked back. I may never wear a normal waist band again.
I did the same thing. It was like I found out I was pregnant and boom! It was time for the bellyband, which lasted maybe a week before I broke down and bought maternity jeans.
You know, I've never asked, but I hear it a dozen times a day. When you get to the hospital to deliver and they "hook you up to an IV," what's in the IV? Pain meds? Seems silly that I don't know, but I've never heard anyone say anything more than it hurts like a bitch.
I've had loads of IVs over my lifetime. Don't get worked up about them :-) I HATE needles, but, its no worse than getting blood taken. The sensation is a bit weird for me, but, trust me, in the realm of things that "hurt like hell", IVs are a minor bump in the road. Small poke and its over. If you go to a hospital with students, my advice is do NOT let a student put in IV in you. Then you'll get an experienced nurse that's really good and its not so bad! I promise!! (I hate needles and with a good nurse, its over fast!)

They put IVs in preemptively, assuming you'll need medication or even just fluids. A lot of women who want a med-free birth request no IV (or a hep-lock instead) bc then it's not as easy for someone to come in and say "oh, we're just going to give you some Pitocin now" and hang a bag (which SHOULDN'T happen without a lot more discussion, but sometimes does).
A little AW whining for a second: DH leaves at 6 am tomorrow for a cruise that work is taking him on. I won't be able to talk to him until Monday at 11 pm. Usually not a big deal, but I have been a hormonal mess crying all day that he's leaving me alone. (And that castle episode made it worse)
Be prepared to see me on here A LOT, board line stalker actually. I have no one else to talk to (
@thomas930 - the short torso is the fucking worst. It makes you pop OUT so much earlier and then ppl think you're huge and due any second. And you get the squished and can't breathe feeling way sooner too.
See, this has me flummoxed. I always thought I had a short torso, and I definitely felt the short of breath feeling right away, but the way I'm carrying would suggest my torso isn't so short? Because I'm carrying EVERYWHERE, and feel like I'm begging my baby bump to grow out so I actually look pregnant! The things being pregnant ales you wonder about...

And I'd really appreciate if y'all sent some T&Ps my way as well. Doc just called and wants me to go to labor and delivery. My liver enzymes are up and she wants to do some blood work and put Aiden on a monitor. I have to wait for DH to get home from work, but I'll keep everyone posted.

@BIRL - Why is In and Out burger named as such? Can you not sit down inside? It sounds naughty. I want some.
@dani+california Girl, you know I love you because your name is the WORST to type out for a tag on mobile. It's called In n Oit because it was one of the original fast food places back when fast food was a relatively new concept. Although any Californian will tell you it's should be named "Sit n Wait." They're so popular it's always a 15 min wait minimum, but they make everything fresh, never frozen. Especially the fries, which they cut right in front of you and are NOT greasy, they are heavenly. You can eat inside, or on the grass outside under the criss-crossed palm trees, and the wait inside is usually better than the drive-thru. It's a magical place. Best lunch for six bucks around. And @AprilMay9 is right: we have a Five Guys next to our house, and In N Out is a 15 min drive. I choose In N Out every time.

So I have a question. Last night while cleaning DDs closet out, I felt a sharp pain in the middle of my belly. I thought maybe it was BH but I didn't really feel any tightness, however I never got BH with DD so I don't really know what to expect. Does anyone have an idea of what it might have been?

Might have tweaked a muscle. Everything is all stretched already and when you're doing strenuous work you can pull or tweak a muscle.
@BIRL they just opened some In N Outs in Dallas area, they are no where near comparison to the real thing. While everything is still made fresh never frozen, they are COATED in grease. Don't get me wrong, still delicious. but they def go in n out lol

I waited until some time after week 20 to get maternity jeans and kick myself everyday for taking so damn long. I am also thinking it'll take a lot for me to go back to normal jeans
@sisimama10 and @kiahsimpson you ladies are both in my thoughts... Keep yourself entertained, you're in good hands and everything is gonna be fine. Keep on cookin, babies!
This is terrible news. H just called me from subway. They are out of Italian herb and cheese bread.
Only options are wheat, honey oat, and some sort if jalapeño. Pretty much ruined my night.
Mine was out of Italian Herb and Cheese too, the jalapeno is with cheese so I settled for that but it wasn't what I wanted... not even little

It's a bag of saline. And then if you want IV pain meds, they have the ability to just shoot em right in...
Re: Longest Thread EVER! (aka Random Thoughts Thread )
Mine don't either. So I bought the next size up, but it's way too big.
