I had an unmedicated birth with DS and I had to argue to not be hooked up to an IV when I arrived. They wanted it available for any medications or fluids.

@J&NL I've always had the best luck with L'oreal. I don't use a top coat and they usually last close to a week. Sally's is another good one but it's a specific kind of Sally's.

my regular pre-pregnancy jeans are officially over. i tried to button them up and that was a big fat hell no! i made it to 28 weeks exactly. now i have to wear my comfy jammie pants to my birthing class tonight

They usually just start an IV so they have easy access in case you need pitocen, fluids, antibiotics, pain meds, ect. It's standard practice to get one when you first go in.

Thank you everyone on the nail polish advice! I have on essie right now so I'll try a different one next time. It's so aggravating getting a pretty color and it chips right away.

I just did something really stupid/pregnancy brain related. I went to the gate to get into the station and waved my hand around the motion sensor, it didn't open and I got cranky and waved my hand again.

Question: WWA14 do? My shower invites went out this week. One went to a friend who just told me today that she miscarried. Do I warn her a shower invite is on the way, and if she's not feeling up to it completely understand if she doesn't want to attend? Do I wait for her to say something to me? I know as we struggled to get pregnant any shower invites we a slap in the face, but I didn't experience a loss. I don't want to be insensitive! I feel just awful for her.

Agreed and if I might be so bold, if you are close a sympathy card can mean the world when you M/C, sending her one might be thoughtful.

Update on me to all who were waiting: Went to the drs office. They did some junk and checked me and sent me to the hospital. Contractions every two mins but not dilated. Now I'm hooked up to monitors getting ultrasounds and more shots. I get another shot in 20 mins. I'm going on procardia (spelling?). That's all I've heard so far. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers.
