DH finally had a Friday off and we scheduled a dinner out with friends I've been looking forward to all week. We were eating dessert when I started choking on a piece of a crumbly pie. I tried to wash it down with water but kept coughing harder and harder...and then I literally projectile vomited all over the table, my plate...I tried to leave the table as quickly as possible and cover my mouth but it just kept coming and pouring down my arms and my shirt, all over the restaurant floor...oh my god.

I ran outside and threw up there before my husband ran out to make sure I was okay. I made him go back inside and help the wait staff clean my disgusting mess because I was horrified someone else would have to clean that...and my friends had their dinner ruined by my fucking puke all over it.

I'm locked in my bathroom balling my eyes out because I've never been so embarrassed in my whole fucking life. An entire restaurant full of people just watched me embarass myself and my night I'd been looking forward to was ruined. I just can't today. I want to crawl into a hole.

Oh Dani. Oh Dani Dani Dani. I kept waiting for you to say it was all a dream @dani+California. Hon I'm so sorry! I hope you feel better re: the embarrassment factor. And I'm so sorry it ruined your night out. I'm sure, unless your friends are total jerks, that they understand and know it's not like you meant that to happen. I've had those crazy coughing jags before from inhaling the odd crumb, they are no joke. Sucks big time. Hugs to you!

What the heck happened to my face today???? I woke up feeling like I had allergies and they got worse and worse the longer I was out running errands. My face is literally melting off. I took every medicine I'm allowed to take together and nada. So I tried my migraine med (also baby ok) because I sometimes get cluster migraines that mimic the symptoms of allergies and it's better but I still look like the creature from the black lagoon. Plus, it hurts! Stop, face, stop!

I'm actually getting excited about my baby shower. My sister came clean and said they're throwing one. They wanted to surprise me but they thought since I quit my job then knowing there's a shower might ease my mind about baby stuff. Honestly I wasn't worried about purchasing my baby stuff or I wouldn't have quit work but a shower will lighten my shop load. Any hoo. I don't know when it is so there's still that element of surprise. I can't wait!!! Mostly because once the shower is over I can officially set up my nursery.

On Monday we are supposed to be -52 with windchill. -10 regular temp as the high. I'm starting to fantasize about moving somewhere warm. :-(

It's supposed to the coldest temps in over a decade here in Minnesota. But then next weekend it is supposed to be in the 30s. It's going to be one long-ass winter.

Oh @dani+california I'm sorry you had to experience that! I haven't puked like that in public during pregnancy, but you ever want to commiserate, I had a similar (although not quite as horrid sounding) experience when I was younger. Trust me when I say you'll be able to laugh at this some day in the future!

I'm in a depressed/unmotivated funk lately and it's starting to get to me. I have no focus or drive at work, and on top of that, being away from my SO for 10+ hours a day is weird to get used to again. I also just realized this week that I can't "hide" my belly anymore, not that I wanted to, but I guess it's just hitting me really hard that I look huge and I feel huge and it's only going to get worse for the next three months. Also easing my mind and lowering my stress levels is the fact that we are in the process of moving this month and I may be changing providers. Just awesome.

I need a nap and some comfort food and a big squishy hug from SO. He gives the best hugs!!!

OMG OMG OMG I came across a moving sale on Craigslist and saw some AMAZING deals. Just got done texting seller. Hopefully all the stuff I told them I want is worth the purchase. If they are lets just say I'll have LOTS of DIY projects to get into during the week. 8-}

Let us know how it goes? And I wanna see these DIY! I admire moms who do stuff like that, I always start but never get it done.

I was supper jazzed by my double stroller deal I got off Craigslist.

I can't wait!!! It's so hard to come across good Craigslist deals because not all the sales are on the same island as me and filtering is annoying. I'll definitely keep you gals posted on my Craigslist DIY whereabouts.

@dani+californiaSo sorry that happened! I projectile vomited this week too and it is scary as hell! My sister choked on a piece of steak at a fancy restaurant and had to have the Heimlich maneuver and she projectile vomited all over the place too! She was so embarrassed! I can tell you that she does laugh about it now if it makes you feel any better about it :-)

@Sisimama10: I live in Chicago too and the warnings about this weekend are scary! I don't remember it ever being this cold before either! And MORE snow on top of it! -50???? It's supposed to be warmer in Barrow Alaska on Monday then here!

@mamamonzo: That would have pissed me off to no end as well! But no more over doing it on the nesting lady!
