My apartment managers use Glidden and I think it's held up really well for the past 3 years. Granted, I've never done the actual painting, so I'm not sure how easy it goes on.

We usually use the higher quality paints because they typically don't require you to use primer first.

both glidden and behr have a paint and primer in one and is still 1/2 the cost of benjamin moore

  • ColleenSwerb  Thank you, I am really not worrying. This LO, being my third, is really just throwing me through the ringer. I thought the first two were different, but this one has put me in a whole new playing field.

  • So they just cancelled school in Minnesota for Monday which NEVER happens. Boss decided to keep office open but we can use PTO if we have to. Did I mention the windchill temperatures are supposed to fall to -60 degrees Fahrenheit?

    WTF is with this weather?!?!

Yeah Monday our HIGH is supposed to be -10 WITHOUT windchill. That's insanely cold. :-(

    ok ladies don't hate me.

I am continuing to loose weight. I lost like 11 pounds during first tri and was able to gain about 8 back during 2nd tri and I stayed there for a solid month and a half with no change. Then I got on the scale today and I had lost ANOTHER 3 pounds putting me at -6 lbs from pre pregnancy. No matter what I do I can't gain weight and I''m starting to worry. I have switched from 2% to whole milk and eat three full meals a day and snack on nuts and cheese and peanut butter all day long eating lots of protein and whatever else I want. I am not a small girl (18/20 pre pregnancy) and the one time in my life I don't want to shed pounds they are coming off. I will be asking my drs what they think next time I go in but thats still about 3 weeks away. ok I'm done talking about my weight.

@snmetz7 Are we the same person? Did you crawl into my room and read my diary? Seriously, this is me. And it's SO FRUSTRATING especially feeling like I've gained weight for years without wanting to, and now I can't gain weight if you paid me. And I was a 18/20 pre-preg too. My doc isn't worried so I try not to be, but I'm tired of seeing the number stay the same or drop every time I get on the scale.

If it helps, my OB said that she really likes to see women gaining in their third tri, and that it doesn't bother her at all that I haven't gained yet because the baby is measuring on schedule. She says it's actually healthier, especially given my pre-preg size, that I haven't gained yet. And that as long as baby's measuring well and I'm eating as much and as well as I say I am (eating healthy to GAIN weight is so not easy!) then she's not worried.

My theory? A lot of my calories pre-baby came from booze. Wine, champagne, the odd cocktail. I had a glass of wine almost every night and more on the weekends. I'd maintained my weight for about a year and a half without gaining anything, so I know my body was in stasis at that calorie level. Now, even though I'm eating the same if not more, I'm not getting those (delicious) empty calories any more. So I think I'm trimming up. That's just my theory. Plus, before I knew I was pregnant I'd been cutting back the booze and snacks and lost ten pounds in the three months before baby. I have yet to get those back. But I'm trying!

All that to say, cheer up buttercup! Someone else is in your shoes. Talk to your doctor for sure, but I'm sure your baby is doing great and your body is doing what it needs to do. Now if I can just tell the nagging fears in my own head that I'll be fine. :)

    Mid-40s here and I think it's too cold. I'm such a baby.
  • I would love to have the baby early. SO doesn't work winters. He got his return date and it's 4/15. I am due 4/21. So I would really like baby to come at the beginning of April so I have some help!

My baby needs to stay inside as long as possible! DH is an accountant and there's no way in hades that I want a tax season baby! Nope, no way, uh uh. Baby's just going to have to stay in there. I've been praying to carry to term, and I think it'll be ok. God isn't that mean.

Lol I feel mean too. I want 37 weeks. I know you can't schedule a baby when it's convenient, but it sure would be nice having SO home those first two weeks.
  • @Biggerinreallife I know you're right and my body is doing what it needs to thanks for letting me know i'm not the only one going through this. I promise to put your diary back right where I found it ;)

As far as when the baby gets here, as long as its in April I'm good. I just want my 3rd generation female in April, because, how cool is that?!

  • Totally jealous!! Hope you gals had fun! :)
  • I'm hoping baby stays in there an additional five days so he can share a birthday with my dad :) Also, the running joke of a 4/20 pot baby is getting old....
  • Ehhh me wishing it won't have any effect on when he comes. He will come when he's ready regardless.
  • If the child is like me, he'll show up ridiculously early--if he is like my husband, I'll be waiting awhile. I swear, the only reason we show up on time together is because I lie to him about when things start!

  • Do you guys say soda or pop?

I say pop and from what I've noticed most people from Montana say pop.

    Pop. I'm in Illinois.
  • I've lived all over the Midwest, but have always said "pop". When we moved to Wisconsin with their "soda" and "bubblers" (drinking fountains), it always was so weird.

I'm very happy to now be in a pop state in Minnesota! My son will grow up asking me for the correct carbonated beverage ;)
  • @poru--OMG that bugs me sooo much! Remember that coworker/friend I have who is always saying the weird shit about my weight? Yeah she is ALWAYS always 30-45mins late. I don't know why I even bother to make it on time, because for me, "on time" means at least 10mins early. So I sit there for like 40-55mins waiting for her on the off chance she may show up on time.

I've said "soda" before, but when I first moved to Wisconsin and my DH called the drinking fountain a "bubbler", I looked at him like he'd suddenly sprouted a second head that was speaking in tongues.  From what I've been able to figure out, WI is the ONLY state that calls them that. *boggle*  :-??
