Hey all! I’m 30 from Tennessee and pregnant with my first due December 11th. Super excited but also nervous knowing it’s early along. Already feeling tired and nauseous when hungry lol
Hi! 👋 I’m Jill, 28 and pregnant with my first (due date 12/3). I’m working towards licensure as a psychologist—this will be an exciting journey on top of that! 💗 My husband and I have really been rolling with the big life events: last year we got married, bought a place, and I graduated from grad school. I’m surprised at how content I am with this next “big event;” I am usually a pretty anxious person! Excited to have a forum where I can spill the beans on being almost 5 weeks!
Hi all! I’ll go by Babette. This is baby 3 for us due Dec 7. It took longer than expected but we are so happy. I’m feeling a thousand feelings at once. No real symptoms yet, little tired and thirsty?
Our first gap is 9 years and this gap will be almost 4. If any moms are worried, it’s been nice! They are much closer than I thought they’d be and it’s been precious to watch. I feel anxious until I hear heart beats, it’s nice when they start to kick and you have that reassurance.
Thinking all good things for each and every one of you!
Hey everyone! My name’s Allison, I’m 25, and I’m a flower farmer! I just found out I’m pregnant today. I actually had a miscarriage on March 4th (my birthday🥲) and honestly we weren’t trying again for a while, so this is a HUGE surprise. I’m excited but nervous as this is my first. I’m trying to not get my hopes up as the first one was a chemical pregnancy. I believe I am due on the 8th of December but I’m not totally sure. Hoping for a safe and healthy pregnancy 🤞
Hi! I’m 32 in Brooklyn - pregnant with my first, tentatively due December 6. (4w3d.) Basically been cramping since 8dpo and sore boobs since ovulation, and already feeling alternating queasy and ravenously hungry plus intermittently exhausted. I keep reminding myself that’s a good thing! Hopefully! It’s so hard to keep this a secret so v glad to be here.
Congrats Alison! I also had a chemical pregnancy on February 27th and got pregnant right away and I’m 5 weeks tomorrow! Hoping and praying for a sticky baby for both of us ❤️
Hi! I’m 35, had a positive Covid test yesterday and a positive pregnancy test today! Of course on April Fools Day. Glad to find a forum where I could share this insanity. Needless to say I’m pretty nervous but very excited. I’ll feel much better after our first OBGYN visit. I have a 2 year old daughter who has requested a sister.
@knottied1b99fa0ce5c9ed9 alternating queasy and ravenously hungry is the perfect description for how I’ve been feeling! 😂 one second nauseous, next second eating!
So nice to meet you ladies and get a chance to talk about this with anyone other then hubby. I'm Katie, 31 from Canada. First pregnancy, hubs and I tried 9 months before conceiving. Like most of you super nervous this won't stick but hoping for the best. 5 weeks, 1 day today and first ultrasound in 3 weeks. Here in YYC we have 8 wk, 12 wk and 19 wk ultrasounds. Rooting for every last one of you ladies, we've got this!
Hello everyone! My name is Brittany and I am 31 years old. I am an elementary school teacher from Indiana. My husband and I have been TTC for the last 15 months. I was finally prescribed Letrozole and I am so happy to say that after 3 rounds, we are pregnant with our first. My due date is December 9th. My first feelings were shock because I didn’t think we would get pregnant so fast after starting Letrozole. I’m feeling anxious as well about having a sticky baby! Prayers to everyone and I am so excited to hear about everyone’s journeys.
Hi! I’m 33, expecting our first after a MC in October. I’m hoping this baby sticks, we’re very excited but trying to be cautious in the first trimester. It’s really nice to get to know more people who are going through pregnancy at the same time. Praying for all of your pregnancies. Our expected due date is for 12/4, my husband and I have our birthdays at the end of December, if our baby is born it would be an amazing gift.
Hi all! 👋🏼 I’m Phoebe, 37, living in Boston, first pregnancy. My husband and I tried for a year with no luck but our first IVF transfer stuck! Our “science baby” is due Dec. 2nd. Still feels really surreal. I’ve wanted to be a mom for so long I can’t believe it’s finally (hopefully) going to happen. I’m also a Type 1 Diabetic which will present an additional layer of complexity on top of my “advanced maternal age” 🙄 but I am cautiously optimistic about all of it. Excited to have this forum and would love to connect in person with any moms-to-be in the Boston area as we progress. Walks & light hikes this summer would be lovely!
Hi! I am Monica 37 years old. I am due dec 4th: This is my 5th pregnancy. I have 2 kiddos 9 and 1. They are both IVF and FET babies but this pregnancy is natural and a bit fo a shock! I had a hcg of 2072 and progesterone level of 10.6 at 19 dpo. I go tomorrow for a recheck at 21 dpo. Hoping all goes well this pregnancy. I haven't been able to carry a pregnancy on my own so we are cautious.
Hey All! My name is Haley! I just had a few faint positive at home tests. According to my calculations, I am 4weeks and 5days pregnant I don’t want to get ahead of myself but my husband and I will be visiting home next week and I would love to tell my close friends and family the news In person…. But I’m also nervous that it’s too early. Opinions welcomed!!! Im so excited and I’m really hoping and praying that this baby sticks!!!
Hi everybody! I’m Jen, and just found out I’m pregnant with our first (due 12/5 if I googled correctly). I’m 29 and I teach elementary school. No real symptoms yet but yesterday my shins started really killing me! It almost feels like I have shin splints again- I read about leg cramps but has anyone else experienced this? Trying to figure out if it’s related to pregnancy or just a fun unrelated injury 😜 so happy for all of you!
I’m so surprised there are so many of us that know this early on we are pregnant! I’m also SOOO pleasantly surprised to see that many of us are in our 30s. That makes me feel less alone. My name is Michelle and I’m 3 weeks and 6 days. Due date is 12/14. I’m 34 and work as a pharmacist. This would be my first child. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 14 months and I had a miscarriage in September. I’m with @appleblossom88 that I’m nervous to get too excited after the heartbreak of previous loss. I too feel consumed with thoughts of the pregnancy even though I just had my first positive pregnancy test yesterday! So glad to meet all of you and I wish you the best of luck.
Hi everyone! I’m 26 and living in OK. My husband and I are expecting our first December 1st! We found out super early (around 3.5 weeks) so the wait for my first ultrasound on April 18th has felt like a lifetime!
Has anyone else experienced bad cramps? They started this weekend for me. Going to the bathroom sometimes helps in the short term and drinking more water helps me feel better the following day. But even then it’s been making it difficult to get work done. And I don’t want to be taking Tylenol all the time either.
Congratulations to everyone! Praying for healthy pregnancies for all!
Hello everyone! I am 27 and pregnant with my first due December 10th after 5 rounds of fertility treatments and a year prior of trying. I have PCOS so I was thinking it would take even longer. I am excited, but casually optistmic that things will countinue to process correctly. So far I am just experiencing "twinges" in the stomach area and bloating primarily so nothing major. Congratulations to everyone!
Hello everyone! My name is Shelby, I’m 25 from Texas! Currently finishing my bachelors degree in Marketing & Management at the University of Houston! I’m about 4 weeks right now & super excited but also very nervous as my fiancé & I experienced a miscarriage last year. My 8 week appointment is at the end of April & I’m very much looking forward to it. Our estimated due date is the week of 12/5.
Hello guys I’m Ashley I also live in Wisconsin actually I’m currently 5 weeks with my 2nd chil who’s almost 7 I can’t believe it’s been 8 years since I’ve been pregnant I’m so excited
Hi everyone! I’m 30 and I live in south Florida. I’m currently 5 weeks and 2 days pregnant with a December 5th due date, according to the calculator. This is my first pregnancy and we’re very excited but also very nervous! It’s so early and I can’t help being scared it won’t stick! I am perfectly healthy so the odds are in my favor. I’m just willing the time to pass so I can rule out chemical pregnancy and have my first prenatal visit. Luckily my appt is at 7 weeks, so I don’t have too long to wait. The heartbeat will allow me to really embrace this big life event!
Currently experiencing very swollen and sore breasts, plus some light lower abdominal cramping. Also exhausted 80% of the time. Could be due to the lack of caffeine, but exhaustion started before I found out I was pregnant, so it can’t all be mental!
Anyway, sorry for the long intro-post. It’s so nice to have somewhere where I can blurt all this out! Nice to have you all!
My name is Lisa and I am expecting my first child on December 12th!!!
My husband and I live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
It took us about 8 months and we even had just got our fertility appointment booked then two weeks later found out we’re pregnant!!
I’m surrounding myself with happiness and trying to read up on pregnancy tips so I can get through this first trimester happy (probably with some sickness haha) and healthy!
I'll go by Lanes here. I moved to Colorado last fall with my husband and two cats. I'm 28 years old and this is my first pregnancy. I'm four weeks along today, due December 15th!
I am so excited, but I'm also afraid to get too attached if lil babe doesn't stick (hello, anxiety). My worst symptoms so far has been loose joints and insomnia because I have HSD, so if there's any other hypermobile moms-to-be out here, I'd love to chat. 😊
It's nice to have this group of people to talk to, especially this early on. Congrats to everyone here!!
Hello everyone! I’m Alex, 34, and live in the Philadelphia area. I’m 4.5 weeks pregnant with my first! 🤯 My estimated due date is December 13th. We are so thrilled, but also anxious, as it’s so early on and my first OBGYN appointment/ultrasound isn’t until May 9th. We also aren’t telling anyone for a few days and it’s so tough keeping this secret! Would love a pregnancy buddy and tips on how to keep the nerves at bay!
@afternoonhippo I’m also 34 and my due date is 12/13/22! Agreed that it’s comforting to see a lot of first time moms in their 30s, makes me feel like less of a dinosaur :-) Congratulations and I hope you have an uneventful pregnancy!
Hi! I'm Rachel and live in Pittsburgh, PA. I will be 39 next month. I have a 4 yr old son. I had a MC in December. My due date calculator says 12/9 so I'm 5 weeks tomorrow. I had a virtual appt with my midwives on Weds, early US is scheduled for 4/19. The waiting is so hard.
Hi! I am 27 and expecting my first around Dec 9th according to the app. My husband and I have been TTC for almost a year, and I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle. I am excited, nervous, and thankful to have found this community!
Hi! My name is Cait and I am 32. My husband and I are expecting our first - due about Dec. 9th. We have been trying for a few months and are beyond excited!
Feeling nervous and worried but hoping it all works out - first dr appointment is set for end of this month.
So so happy to see other first time moms in their thirties as well!
Hello! My name is Melissa. I'm 33 from New Mexico. I'm currently 6w1d. Found out March 28th and this will be my first. A total surprise but I found once I knew I was expecting it was something I absolutely want. I currently work in the Medical Cannabis industry and have been doing so for 3 years. I have my first US on April 15th. Due Dec. 1st!!
Greetings, soon-to-be-mamas! I’m Stephanie, 32 years old, and 6 weeks along into my first pregnancy. My due date is calculating to be Nov 30, but my mom consistently gave birth one day after due dates so Dec 1 seems more likely to me.
Sense of smell was probably the first thing I noticed symptom wise, which made a lot more sense once I tested positive. My boobs are definitely bigger, I’ve felt bloated the past few weeks. This week brought on some fatigue, the worst being in the morning when I’m dragging myself out of bed for work, coupled with difficulty sleeping through the night. I felt some leg cramping the other night and ordered compression socks in preparation for it to get worse.
Within the past day or so I’ve realized instead of mood swings, I’ve been having stomach swings- after eating a small meal I’ll feel nauseously full like I ate too much, then 30 minutes later I’ll feel hungry like I haven’t eaten all day. So I’m eating constantly, but somehow simultaneously stuffed and starving. It’s a relief to read that other women are experiencing something similar!
Hi ladies! My name is Shannon (36y/o) and I am due Dec. 9th with my little ivf miracle. This will be my first! I am quite nervous since I suffered a miscarriage last summer but the doctor has assured me everything looks fabulous so far. I am on supportive meds (estrogen and two types of progesterone) so hopefully I make it through the scary first trimester. Fingers crossed!
Hey there! My name is Jen. I turned 40 in December and after five years of not not trying, it finally happened! I honestly didn’t think this was something I wanted until it did and now I’m over the moon and hoping all goes well. I’m a creative writer and a powerlifter. We live in Salt Lake City. We have three doggos who are excited to meet their new sibling. Expected due date is two days before my birthday! Any older mamas out there? I’d love to hear how you’re feeling. So far I have the same symptoms as everyone else. I thought I was tired before. But this is what real exhaustion is. Lol
Hello!! My name is Marie, I live in California, just turned 35 and will be due with our first Dec 14. I never would have imagined how horrible the wait is between finding out and getting to that first appointment, lol oh hell it’s making me tear up just typing it 🤪 I feel like I’m going crazy but so happy to read everyone’s comments and know I’m not alone.
I work in the cardiac OR, so I’m really starting to worry about containing nausea. Once surgery starts I really don’t get many chances to leave the operating theater. I’m already starting to get queasy and notice different smells. Not super excited for work days ahead…
Hello mamas, I am Maeli, and I am 33 from Canada. Hopped over from the November thread. I am 6w4d according to my LMP and due Nov 30, but my cycles are longer and I know I ovulated later so I think my due date is Dec 7. This is my first pregnancy and I am so glad safe spaces like this on exist to connect and discuss with others going through the same thing. Makes me wonder how mums did it pre-Internet!! Looking forward to getting to know you
Hi everyone!! My name is Kristina, I’m 27 from New York, and expecting my first child!! My cycle was a bit irregular the month we conceived and we are waiting on our 8 week appointment, but I believe we’re about 5 1/2 weeks in!! How are you all feeling? I haven’t had to many symptoms except some cramping and twinges around 4 weeks. Mostly i’n just anxious for our appointment to make sure everythings good so i can get excited!!
Hi everyone! I am due December 10th, which just happens to be my birthday too! This is my first pregnancy after a miscarriage, so I am having a hard time balancing anxiety and hope. I’m trying my best to enjoy each day and hope for the best! I am a fifth grade teacher and love to go on bike rides, do art and read a good book with my dog on my lap!

Im due 1st week of Dec. I am very worried than excited honestly. I just want to make sure me and the baby is healthy.
I had an emergency ultrasound due to spotting and will have another one in 2 weeks. And bloodwork once a week.
