Haha! Haven't hit rage level as of yet, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually further along. More like low-key seething pissiness with a touch of existential crisis.
@regalmommy1@wigglyicecream that’s my “grumpy day” description pre-pregnancy. I usually just sit in my grumpitude and stew and cram a fake-a$$ smile on my face… it’s significantly worse now, and I’m having a terrible time sitting and stewing and fake-smiling today. Although I haven’t thrown a remote yet 😂 so that’s definitely a positive!
I'm curious if anyone is starting to feel the first trimester fog lift (fatigue, nausea, aversions, etc). I'll hit second trimester on Thursdays, and I'm hoping those who are further along are starting to feel better! Just trying to judge exactly how far away that light at the end of the tunnel is. 😊
I got sent for stool samples today. Hallelujah! Should have results be end of the week. 🤞 Dr said anything more than 2 weeks was excessive and should be checked ... whoops.
@cas060 I hope you get some answers and some relief!

@malloryfrommn I wasn’t feeling it magically at 14 weeks. I actually thought it was worse for a bit. Now I am finally getting my appetite back and more energy. With that comes being more sore from moving around and doing more things
@bridgiebee82 I’ll trade you! Hiccups literally drive me crazy! I used to bust MF’s butt all the time bc he gets them and I would ask “what are you a baby” now the baby has me doing it 😭🙃
For everyone that was talking about being in a bad mood - I was SO CRANKY last weekend, and then I cried to my husband because I didn’t want ice cream and I thought that meant something was wrong with me because all pregnant women want ice cream, right? Hormones are wild.
@wigglyicecream prepregnancy I get hiccups to the point of almost throwing up. I actually remember thinking in previous pregnancies that I didn’t get hiccups once. I don’t think I’ve gotten them during this pregnancy at all.
Re: hiccups. I get them all the time, like at least weekly, and have for years so that’s not pregnancy-related. But it feels like the ones I’ve had since we got pregnant are stronger. Like, obnoxiously audible, and strong enough that I kind of “hop” in my chair. I hate these worse than any I’ve ever had before. If somebody will ask you a question that makes your brain short-circuit just a little bit (“how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if pigs ate sausage pizza”, for example) it will usually make them go away, but I cannot seem to teach anyone around me that trick even though I’ve used it multiple times to save them from hiccups.
@wigglyicecream I don’t think I’ve had a bout of hiccups since my BFP but often after eating I’ll have one big, painful hiccup.

This baby must be doing some serious growing or something because I feel like total crap. Had to go deliver a few things for work about 30 minutes away and was queasy and felt carsick the whole time which is unusual for me. Then I got home and passed out in bed for 2 hours. So far, I am not impressed with the second trimester.
@pastabilities the reason I ask is bc there’s a restaurant in Syracuse called pastabilities and it finally clicked why your name looked familiar lol. So I hope you don’t think I’m a super stalker
@wigglyicecream haha no! Weirdly my husband is actually from Syracuse originally but for some reason it became an inside joke early in our relationship but I think from the commercials when we were kids.
I feel uncomfortable when I’m out and about faster. Nothing specific, but I’ll get sore or achy faster. It feels weird for that to be happening before I’m showing. I get out of breath easier too. My husband and I went to Target last weekend and I had to sit down in a chair in the home Decor aisle for a bit.🤣
I don’t feel good when I eat sugar. I can eat everything else as normal. It’s weird to eat such little sugar because I have such a sweet tooth otherwise. It sounds good until I eat it. Then I don’t miss it or feeling bleh.
Every day, brushing my teeth, I gag. This has never happened before I I pregnant. And now I just get hit with waves of nausea throughout the day. Ginger rescue is coming to work with me today.
@bridgiebee82 That's a thing. My first pregnancy I never threw up the whole first trimester until one day at 13 weeks I gagged too hard brushing my teeth. It sucks but will go away. The worst part is being lectured at by the dental hygienist who may shame you about horrible brushing habits and say it's even more important to take care of your teeth during pregnancy and you have to just be like, "pretty sure vomit is worse for my teeth than temporarily brushing less thoroughly" 🤷♀️. May or may not be speaking from personal experience.
For anyone having trouble sleeping, I would definitely recommend these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078KJLT6G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got them mostly to lower my chances of headaches, but I've noticed that my sleep score has been improved since taking them before bed. I still wake up to pee at least once a night, but it's actually a struggle to get up because they seem to turn me into a zombie, and not in a bad way.
@pastabilities@bridgiebee82 hate the burping! I cannot even eat or drink a sip in front of people without worrying I will have to burp right away (and it does happen). I try to hold them in but it is ALL day. I find it disgusting u.u
That was actually the first symptom I had (which was super weird for me -burping was not a regular thing for me before pregnancy) and it hasn't gone away, even now in second trimester >.<
Generally I am ok with food, but the last week I've felt awful after dinner; back to the heartburn unfortunately:/
Little nervous! I’ve been reading threads on here but never interacted because this is my first time pregnant and it’s been such a wild experience. First trimester was a lot of Nausea/vomiting/food aversions but seems to be done! Woohoo! Found out we are having a little girl WE ARE SO EXCITED.
Every appointment was great until my one. Which leads me to why I’m here…looking for peace of mind. I’m now struggling with low blood pressure (below the 90/60). Which seems to concern my dr. Anyone else experiences this and everything turned out okay? Things that helped you? I can’t seem to raise it. I’m 14+2 wks.
@sarahwithbabe hello and welcome! We have an introduction thread if you’d like to tell us a little more about yourself. As far as your question my blood pressure always gets very low in pregnancy (like as low as 85/50 at times) and my doctors have never been concerned, high blood pressure is a much bigger worry. Just be careful when doing sudden movements, if you stand up too quickly you might get lightheaded.
