than you everyone!! This baby is very loved, we've been wanting another baby for a year so we are over the moon... I guess you just can't help the feeling... either way I can wait to know so that we can fight over the name
@b_1029 I would be really pissed if DH got pissed, I mean.... hellooooo that's on you... that's so ridiculous
I am getting so impatient about the panorama results. My sister used the same office and her results took 8 calendar days. Its It's already been 12 days for me. But I did get an e-bill for it today. Soo... if they already processed the bill, just call me with the damn results!
WE GOT THE HOUSE. How did this happen so fast? I'm so excited but now I'm like wait... now we actually have to move, and sell our house, which we have been in for ten years and basically let go to shit... anybody done this semi-recently?? Is it normal to feel like you might poop yourself from the excitement/stress??
@meanjellybean We've sold two houses in 4 years due to moves for my work. We had a handyman service come help with a few of the quick sprucing up items that were required to sell. My wife is pretty handy but there were a few things too labor-intensive or high.
But yes I think the happy and how oh poo reaction is pretty normal.
@meanjellybean WOOHOO!! Congrats! I've not had to deal with selling a house, but I think that's a normal reaction too haha
@modoodles have you called your doctor to ask if they're in? It seems like surely they have them and someone just hasn't called you yet. Sometimes you need to be the squeaky wheel!
I actually got a call just now (after I complained about it 20 minutes ago) about our panorama results. Everything was low risk 🙌🙌 and my husband will make such a great boy dad, because we are officially Team Blue.
@meanjellybean yaaaay!!! Congratulations!! I think that's a totally normal feeling lol We just moved into our current house a year ago (maybe today?) and were in our previous house for 7 or 8 years. We had so. much. shit. We had to be out relatively quickly too b/c we used Knock so the longer we had both houses, the more we paid for the new house, when it was all said and done.
@stlbuckeye132, I'm happy I found out now rather than holding out hope for the baby to be a girl later. I can't say I'm unhappy to be having a boy, but I am sad about not having a girl. I know my husband will really and truly be the best boy dad ever. He mentioned a couple of years ago that he hoped he had a son one day, so I know he will be over the moon. But I also know 100% that he would have been happy either way.
I mean, ignore his use of gender instead of sex, and our quick messaging typos, but, he is just so excited about all of this. And he really is the sweetest man on the planet. And also, yes, I side-stepped his question.
@modoodles I'm glad you found out early then! I'm sure it'll take a minute to adjust your daydreams about this baby to only be boy and not have that girl possibility anymore, but it sounds like this little boy is going to be so loved!!
@meanjellybean. Yay for the house!!! Congrats!! We have been in our current house for a year and a half, and I had that same feeling the whole time things were happening! We were able to carry both mortgages for a few months, so we didn't have to rush to sell our old one. I hope the entire process goes smoothly!!! ❤
@meanjellybean congrats on the house! We’re house hunting now and the thought of selling is so daunting! Just remind yourself that months from now this will all be a blur and it will have all been sorted out somehow. Hope everything with inspection/closing goes super smooth!
@modoodles your hubby sounds like a sweetheart and that’s one lucky, loved baby boy. Congrats on the low risk news!
@meanjellybean I love my home and my neighborhood, and we have room for our growing family, buuuut I know it would be nice for my husband to be closer to where he works. But I dont want to think about all we would need to do to get our house market ready. Our house is taken care of, but four kids, two adults, and 3 dogs definitely take a toll.
So much good news! @meanjellybean congrats on the house! We have been casually looking but have asked the same question to our realtor about buying and selling and he always acts so casual about the process. I’m like well that doesn’t make it less stressful. I just tell myself when we find something it will work out and we will be happy about it months to come when it’s all said and done. Excited for you!
@modoodles yay for good test results and finding out!!
Heeeeelp! I ran and bought some face wash while we were out of town this weekend because I had left mine at home. I bought the kind my daughter uses (neutrogena pink grapefruit) because she was almost out and then I just used that on Saturday and Sunday. Apparently I am allergic to something in it. My entire face has been red and itchy with super dry patches. I look like I got a sunburn. Any recommendations on how to get rid of this reaction, and fast?
I had a dream last night that this baby was moving like crazy and I felt all of it. I guess I'll have to be happy with feeling baby move in my dreams for now.
Oh I had a random from yesterday that I didn't post because it happened right as my day was ending, so here it is. MH sent me a text yesterday afternoon with a picture of our first ultrasound picture with giant text over it saying, "BABY (LAST NAME) DUE IN JULY!" on his computer. The message that went along with it? "Is it okay with you if I have (boss's name) include this as the last slide for our group meeting on Thursday?"
I sent back, "I'm not sure how to respond to this because I can't tell over text if you're joking or serious." He was serious. *facepalm* His reasoning was that it was a good way to tell everyone at once and not have the gossip spread the news for him and have certain people get upset because he didn't tell them personally. (He has some interesting coworkers.) I had to explain that doing that would be really insensitive if there's anyone in that meeting who wants kids and is struggling to have them, etc. He felt really bad once I pointed that out and was like, "wow, it's a good thing I asked you. I definitely don't want to upset anyone!" But... so strange to me that he even asked haha
He's clearly very different than I am because having the attention of everyone in the room suddenly turn to me is like my worst nightmare. I avoid it at all costs. Also, that u/s pic feels like a weirdly personal thing to me? Is that just me? "Hey everyone! Look at this blob that will turn into a baby that we have this great photo of because my wife had a dildo cam shoved up her vag!"
I was awake from 3-5am (thanks, DD for waking me b/c then I couldn't fall back asleep, even though you did ). Anyway, while up, I decided that what I was (and have been) feeling were definitely kicks and not gas or muscle twitches. Ever since then, I feel like I feel them allll the time. Yay!
Just popping in to say hello, 👋...I’m anticipating another busy day at work, but I’ll be lurking!
So much great news yesterday!...guys, I’m also solo parenting this week, and I yelled at my kid last night for no good reason, and he had a fit this morning because his pants didn’t have pockets. So much mom guilt today, I’ll probably snuggle him all night tonight, and buy all the pants from Gap/ON with pockets for him.
@stlbuckeye132 I'm with you on us pix. It feels a little different to drop them in a thread on here where we all talk about being pregnant. I don't really expect folks to look at them if I post though. My Mom is uber excited by those photos but that's a Mom thing.
Way to go on raising his level of awareness. It's sweet he wants to share.
@blaf322 cool news on the kicks. laying in bed is where I'm certain they are happening. Other than that I'm still trying to talk myself down from gas.
@coffeeandcookies84 hugs mama... I've been there.. Also, what is it with toddlers and pockets?! DD was about to lose it because she only had back pockets on Monday. This, she realizes, as we're going downstairs to go out the door for work/school I talked her into keeping them by showing her that my maternity pants don't have front pockets either so she's just like mom.
PSA to the FTMs... once you hit 2yo, pick pants that have pockets as often as possible. It's important
Re: toddlers and pockets. YESSSS, DS literally has to shove his hands into his pockets and gets mad if his pants are pocketless. It has led to some morning meltdowns
this pockets convo cracks me up b/c it reminds me of when DD first realized she has pockets.... but she only had back pockets in those particular pants....so she walked around all awkward the whole day with her hands in her back pockets. It was hysterical haha. Kids are weird and it's the best.
