@EmilyLove25 I’m so sorry for the worries! The unknown is awful, especially when it’s an every day lab result to them, but it means everything to us. That’s how I was yesterday when a nurse told me the doctor would have to call me back. Fingers crossed for good news, but just poor care on their part.
@EmilyLove25 I’m so sorry. I really think it’s just protocol that a nurse or doctor has to tell you the results instead of the receptionist. It was so late in the day, I’m assuming the nurses were handling their last patients and packing to get out and get home. I really don’t think that the lack of call back that late in the day is any indication of the results. Just shows the nurses/doctors wanted to go home after a long day.
@emilylove25 I also just think they didn’t have time - but I know when you’re in this situation all rational thought goes out the window and your brain goes into self destruct mode. Looking forward to see you post the all clear tomorrow

Nurse called and everything is LOW RISK and healthy. I am so, so relieved. I was in a BAD place, to say the least. I hate anxiety! She also said, "we can tell the sex of the baby, would you like to know?" I said, "yes, I do want to know desperately, but don't tell me." Hahahaha. Can I last as team Green?

AFM, I convinced myself somehow that I'd be getting results yesterday. I was stuck in the most boring trainings all day and drove myself crazy checking mychart every 10 minutes. I'm hoping to stay busier today, or better yet, hear back this morning. I was not nearly as anxious with my first even though it was just two years ago.
I called my midwife office and to my surprise, my Harmony results were in! Negative for the 3 they screen for and we're having our second girl! I'm absolutely delighted. I plan on telling my bosses and coworkers on Monday.
Question: we had our NT today and then genetic counseling. The counselor discussed our options for testing since I will be 35 when this babe is born. We decided to do the NIPT even though the NT looked good. So we drew blood and sent that off today as well. My insurance requires pre authorization for this test which I was unaware of. Will they continue processing the test? Will they have to wait until insurance comes back? Will they charge me full price? Anyone had that happen before? Anxious we will end up paying 1000$s and my husband will not be happy.
@aliray123 I was spsd to get pre approval for some doctor appt and found our after teh fact and it ended up being okay. However, if I were you I would call now. Ask your doctor for the code for NIPT too so you have that ready when you talk to your insurance.
@keeksie84 I am SO glad you called. Since your blood was taken the same day as mine, I was hoping you would hear. Great news! And yay for two little girls and clothes you already own haha!
I am so annoyed at my midwife's office right now.. my anxiety is through the roof. So, the midwife told me he ordered the NIPT done on Monday the 12th.. but apparently the midwife never talked to the lab, and they never did the test! I emailed the office and asked where my results were, they said I still need to take the test. UGH. And I'm almost at 2nd tri at this point. I was with the same midwife last year when I got my t21 result, you would think he would remember me and know that I wanted this done as soon as possible to help with anxiety over this pregnancy, but he didn't seem to remember me at all, nor remember that I needed the test done.
So IDK what's going on at this point. I hope they can get their crap together this week so I can go in and take the test (I'll be 12 weeks on Tuesday!) I just want to know everything is ok. I do have an ultrasound coming up the 5th, so at least I have that reassurance that they might be able to detect if something's wrong at that point....

@ashesdene I had my blood drawn on a Thursday at 8 AM. My results posted late the next Thursday, but I didn't get them from the nurse until Friday, so 8 days later. I also had to CALL to get the results. Who knows when they would have called me!
@treetop19 I can't believe they're being so negligent!!! I'm pester the hell out of them so that you can get new blood drawn ASAP. So sorry you're dealing with this.
@treetop19 oh I’m so sorry. With your history I can totally understand you being extra concerned. I’m also freaking out big time with our risk factors and had to do the draw twice - plus rush another time as they hadn’t given me the right form to sign so my results are also delayed which is freaking me out more.
Can you just go to your OB/midwife and demand they do the blood draw and send it off immediately? And not leave until they’ve done it? That’s what I’d do in your position. It’s difficult to ignore a hormonal angry pregnant lady standing in your office...

As an update, I got them to get me in for a blood draw this afternoon. (after much pestering.. I don't think they liked me very much, but it was their mistake to begin with.) So there's one hurdle down at least. Now, the wait.
@treetop19 so glad you were able to get the blood drawn, but sorry they acted put out by it. I'm wondering if anyone bothered to look at your history... I find they often don't, which is infuriating.

Well I’m still waiting - yesterday lab promised to have my results ready for my appointment this morning, but they didn’t and so we had a nice US instead. It was great to see little one - but man my terror in waiting for these Harmony results is through the roof. I was shaking uncontrollably in the waiting room today. Now DH has gone a business trip, so I’ll be alone and get a call tomorrow to say if I need to go into the OB and discuss the results or if they are ok.

I received my results yesterday towards the end of the day - had already convinced myself another day would go by without knowing. Everything came back negative, which was such a relief to hear and we're having a girl!! Both DH and I were convinced it was a boy, so had to do a bit of a pivot there, but just so happy that she is healthy!! Sending good vibes to those of you still waiting on your results!!

Can you just go to your OB/midwife and demand they do the blood draw and send it off immediately? And not leave until they’ve done it? That’s what I’d do in your position. It’s difficult to ignore a hormonal angry pregnant lady standing in your office...

As an update, I got them to get me in for a blood draw this afternoon. (after much pestering.. I don't think they liked me very much, but it was their mistake to begin with.) So there's one hurdle down at least. Now, the wait.
