Not experiencing any symptoms today and now I'm freaking out. I've had sore boobs and cramping and spotting on and off up until now. All I want to do is go home and take a HPT. lol I just called DH and he says I am going to drive myself crazy peeing on those sticks.
@stacey6689 I’m sorry! Last pregnancy I had good and bad days. Hopefully this is just your symptoms settling down for a short time before they pick back up (probably with a vengeance)
Me: 33 | DH: 34 Married: October, 19, 2015 EDD 2/22/17 DS1 born on 3/2/17 EDD 3/8/20 DS2 born on 3/10/20 EDD 11/24/23 (Formerly Marriedhamstermom Feb ‘17)
@stacey6689 if it makes you feel any better, my initial symptoms of bloating and cramping have pretty much gone away, but my HCG numbers are rising appropriately. Would your OB order a set of betas to put your mind at ease?
@stacey6689 That's great advice from @stassischroeder. I know it is hard to remember but you really normally should NOT have symptoms this early... I mean bloating that comes and go, sure, but the discernible symptoms don't typically start until much later... I think it's almost like the TWW for these first few weeks. We desperately want to feel pregnant and freak out when we don't. I don't want you to worry (but I 100% get it).
I’m 6+2 (I think, I’m too lazy to check), and I’m mostly feeling ok other than fatigue. But I have a toddler who doesn’t sleep so I’m always tired anyways. I get occasional waves of nausea, but nothing crazy. It’s actually totally freaking me out. I had horrible sickness with DS, and needed medication because I was losing so much weight. Throwing up all day every day. Not that I want that, but it would be nice to have some symptoms just to give me peace of mind! PGAL brain is real.
I'm also trying to remind myself that every pregnancy is different. I never felt bad with DS until the end when I was super swollen, so I try to talk sense into myself when I'm not feeling much yet. My co-worker was miserably sick her first pregnancy, and is due next month and hasn't gotten sick at all this time around, both boys.
Ok. I am 6+3 today, and it has been non stop nausea for the last 3 days. It literally only stops when I am sleeping. I have ordered some ginger lozenges from Amazon out of desperation. Here's hoping they work.

I’ve actually had good luck with peppermint hard candies, too!
I have been bloated for around two weeks now it seems. Today, I couldn’t stop snacking. When I got home from the doctor I passed out and took a two hour nap.
Im 5 and 2 today. My first week after my BFP I had cramps, sore boobs and one day of light spotting. Now just sore boobs on and off, congestion, fatigue and major bloating. No nausea yet, but waiting.....
@MrsVP614@stassischroeder I didn’t realize congestion was a pregnancy symptom! The past 2-3 days I’ve just thought my spring allergies morphed into summer allergies. I can’t stop blowing my nose!!
Update: the ginger lozenges are wonderful. They are definitely heavy on the ginger as they are spicy, but don't taste bad and keep the nausea at bay for a handful of hours per drop. The ones I got are the tummy drop brand
@bluesting glad the ginger is working for you! I'm not a ginger fan, so maybe I'll try out peppermint l, @WorkingOnMyNightCheese because today is the first day the nausea has really kicked in!
What I really feel like I want is mango altoid sours, damnit why did they have to be discontinued!?!?! Haha.

That’s exactly why I use peppermint candies. I like ginger in food, but not as a sucker.
I'm 3w6d, so on the verge of 4w & I am actually feeling slightly weird as opposed to totally normal and sort of suddenly, like, within the last two days.
I've got sore boobs for sure, and also a tiny little bit of nausea that concedes when I eat something. I've been peeing slightly more than usual but also been pretty thirsty so drinking a ton of water. Also some light cramping here and there.
@emilylove25 haha thanks--for clarification, i meant as opposed to not-pg normal. ^_~* it's VERY vague nausea, but it's still... there. fun fact, i have not vomited since i was 12 y/o.....
At 5 weeks and 5 days, my biggest symptoms seem to be swollen and sore breasts, which I've never experienced before, and extreme fatigue. I work full time, 9 hours a day... I cam get a full 8 hours of sleep, wake up, and I'm tired again in 5 hours. I've never been a big sleeper and camt even take naps unless I'm sick, so this is a huge change for me.
Whew. The nausea hit me like a ton of bricks this morning. Thankfully I didn’t throw up, but I have a feeling it isn’t far off. Great timing because we are away and staying at a hotel until Monday 😐
I've definitely been nauseous but haven't thrown up yet. Part of me feels like it won't seem real until until then.. even though I'm obviously not looking forward to it! I'm 5w+6d.. STMs, when did your morning sickness really kick in?
@kagesstarshroom I’m amazed and jealous at your lack of vomiting in life! @aprileia I never had morning sickness the first time around, so not everyone deals with it. I’m wondering if I’ll luck out again, because I know every pregnancy is different and this time around I’m seeing less and chasing a toddler.
@aprileia the only time I felt nauseous with my first was if I didn't eat regularly. Definitely keep small snacks around because an empty stomach is your worst enemy. I never threw up, nor did my nausea ever get all that bad. Like @MrsVP614 I'm curious if this pregnancy will be different from the first. Not much of anything yet (5w today).
Thanks @MrsVP614 and @stassischroeder (love your username btw!), makes me feel a lot better. I was so ready for the worst that I wasn't expecting not to have it yet (or at all). Hopefully you'll both avoid it again this time around!
@aprileia I randomly wrote it down with my son, and my morning sickness, which was unrelenting and lasted until the end (so much puking) started just at six weeks. With DD the morning sickness was bad, but it started at 7 weeks and ended around 16 for the most part... and then once I had the morning sickness with DS, I laugh ever thinking it was bad with DD. Haha. Typically, they say it starts around 6-7 weeks, reaches its height at 9 weeks, and subsides around 12-13 weeks. All I can say, is I only gained 7 pounds with DS because I was so sick (he weighed over 8, so I legit lost weight)... and you know what? It was still wonderful being pregnant and 100,000,000% worth it
@aprileia I had absolutely no morning sickness with my first. I was so worried that I wasn't pregnant and sort of wished for it. I know every pregnany is different, so it will be interesting for me to see how this one goes.
I’m 6+ 2 and yesterday marked the start of some serious nausea . The smell of coffee makes me want to gag, as does pretty much every food, yet I’m starving . I had to fly home yesterday and was throwing up the whole trip- no more travel for me for a while! Miserable. Now i can hardly move off the couch. Any other remedies that you seasoned mamas can suggest?
6+1 today, this tired feeling is no joke! I had a pretty busy day yesterday with work and a charity event. I slept almost 10 hours and still can’t seem to get off the couch today. I am exhausted! I’ve had a few bouts with nausea, but not too bad yet. How do I get my energy back????
@kagesstarshroom I haven’t thrown up since kindergarten until a I got a stomach virus while I was pg with DS2. Not morning sickness with eother of them, but woof. That stomach virus did me in!! I was really sad to end my streak. 😂😂
@pp320 Hang in there until the second trimester? Lol. Fatigue is REAL during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester, and then you have a baby, so energy may have to take on a new meaning! 😂
I’m 6 weeks 1 day today and in tears. All last week I had terrible ALL day morning sickness and it stopped for the most part for the past 2 days, well now it’s back. I’ve tried everything and I’m so tired of not being able to function. If I can remember correctly, I was sick until about 13 weeks with my first, I just don’t know how I can function working 2 jobs and mom life to a 3 yr old. 😭
@abbyanneheird oh man I’m sorry. It’s rough! I know mine is coming and I’m dreading it. Mine subsided around 11 weeks last time, so hopefully yours won’t go on so long? I am also wondering how I will handle this on top of work and a 3yo. I’m a teacher on summer break but I’ll go back to work around 8 weeks, which was the absolute height of my MS last time around! 😭
I’m pretty sure food is the root of all evil when you’re pregnant. H misheard me about lunch today and I started full-on crying. I knew I was being hormonal but I couldn’t help myself.

Yesterday i I noticed I didn’t want to finish my coffee. That was the first sign something was up when I was KU with my daughter 4 years ago.
@kantobean I go back to school right around 8w, too--I'm a grad asst. teaching 2 college courses, though so at least it's not every day of the week?
