@kantobean I noticed that yesterday too. 5w6d, and I haven't really been nauseous for the most part, but yesterday I felt sore... Like I had stretched my abdomen or something. Not cramps exactly, just sore. Other than that I've been really tired and no will to get up and cook and clean. Boobs are sore, but I haven't really felt pregnant. No desire for coffee anymore though. That's kinda nice.
I am 8 weeks on Saturday. This is our first baby. I feel like I am hungry every minute of the day. And nauseous as can be if I'm not snacking... anyone else feeling like this?
6 weeks today, and I feel like nausea is trying to creep in a bit. I'm a bit more tired today, but I did have a weird dream last night and woke up after. It was me getting our first ultrasound and DH missing it, and then trying to re do it, but then it was a joint ultrasound with other people getting ultrasounds and friends, and there was food. Specifically french fries, which I asked for in my dream.
Last week I looked up local u/s places. One had the sneak peak test, and you can get your results and eat donuts? The other company had online that they fit up to 12 people for a sex reveal. So that's probably where part of my dream came from, and the other part is that several friends are on vacation and have been posting about the food they've had all week. So yeah. I'm tired today. I mentioned being tired to a co-worker, and she automatically looked at my stomach. So yeah...there's that too. Sorry, I'm rambling!
I went to bed earlier than usual last night--was literally just like lying on the couch like a zombie & DH was like, um, go to bed--and then I slept 11 hours lol.
Is anyone else not really able to eat? I’ve had a half sleeve of crackers and a handful of carrots since Tuesday. I remember I could still eat real food last time. I also never puked last time and have vomited three times already.
I know I should eat something to keep the nausea at bay but everything makes me want to puke.
@silverhope I was that way last time- anything bitter or plain helped me. I lived on Clementine, passion tango tea from Starbucks, lemonade, granola bars, bagels and protein pasta. This time, i find that eating really helps with my nausea so I try to not let myself get too hungry.
@babyday2020 yesssss! I am always hungry and when i get too hungry i feel nauseous. I feel like i need food immediately in my mouth or I will puke. Man pregnancy is fun!
@babyday2020 Exactly the same! I feel nauseous and start gagging unless I eat something every 2-3 hours. Have stocked up on lots of small, healthy snacks and trying not to wait until I feel sick to remember to eat one. I'm also 8 weeks on Saturday!
@silverhope@jpalacios892 I really love food so I hate that nothing is seemingly appealing to me... until something is very appealing all of a sudden? I think after my first u/s I am going to start meal planning bc if I just go by my instincts, not much is going to happen.
@kagesstarshroom I added a food tracker which I input sometimes to determine if I was balancing nutrients. I always take my lunch to work and snacks. The tracker is for pregnant women. I've got pre-existing low blood sugar. I'm trying to up vegetables in particular and protein.
Today i have a horrible headache and non-stop nausea. I feel absolutely miserable and am doing a shit job being a mom to my 3 year old daughter. This is so much harder than last time
I was at the grocery store longer than I intended today and gagged my way through the yogurt aisle. Thank God I remembered that I had one of the kids granola bars in my purse. Then I opened a package of crackers on the way home. Blah!
Anyone else here with Celiac disease? I was diagnosed recently and my usual go to 1st Trimester carbs are either 1. Not the same or 2. Going to cost me a fortune! I’d love any advice from a veteran.
@kantobean On man, add me to the tired AF crew. I am so tired! If I leave the house with DD, it zaps my energy for the whole day. I have to come home and take a nap. I feel bad because my husband works 7 days a week during his busy season (now) and he's having to help out a bunch at home too. Other than being tired and having cramping all the time (which makes me anxious), I don't really have any other symptoms. No sore boobs or nausea. Is there anyone else who is 7w+ and is still fairly symptom free?
Also, I'm sending love out to all of you ladies who are currently struggling with nausea. It sounds unbearable and I hope you're feeling some relief soon.
@keeksie84 I am 6 weeks 4 days and basically am a bit bloated and that's it. Every person is different and I wouldn't let the lack of symptoms worry you. (I say this as I try to make myself believe it, too!)
@keeksie84 I’m in the same boat! 7+6 and very few symptoms. They come and go. It’s making me so anxious! I have an ultrasound today so hopefully that eases some of the anxiety.
8:58 AM and there is no way I can survive today without a nap. I was up at 5 AM to run and uggghhhh whhhyyy.. but I'm at work... desperately trying to think of where I can realistically nap at lunch.
@emilylove25 I am amazed you’re getting up to run! Last week I was all “fitness, yeah!” I worked out this week on Monday and Tuesday but have since felt too tired to do anything but walk. I need to go for a run tomorrow!
@kantobean Haha that's funny because I also ran Monday and Tuesday and NOT on Wednesday and Thursday. DH got home from travel last night, so I felt compelled to take advantage of the fact that I COULD get up and run haha. Hope you get a good one in tomorrow!
Have had all-day-every-day nausea for 3 weeks straight, then yesterday it just all of a sudden completely stopped. I'm 8w5d. I spent all day yesterday freaking out because I felt really good, but my mind was put at ease after my first appointment -- got to hear the heartbeat yesterday!
Today I have the worst cold I've had in years, and the nausea is back with a vengeance, which means I'm gagging every 5 minutes because my throat is so scratchy! Anyone have any good suggestions for dealing with a streaming cold?
First pregnancy nausea can't touch what I've dealt with in the last 2 weeks. It got so bad one night I was crying because I was so miserable and couldn't get any relief. I even tried to stop the tears because I didn't want to lose anymore fluids and risk dehydration! I'm 8 weeks today and told my doctor I've tried everything, the small frequent meals, ginger, crackers, tea, wristbands (which did help a little) and candies but nothing gave me enough time to gather strength before the next wave hit. He gave me samples for bonjesta and on one tablet I've already had a full meal and an afternoon free of nausea, gagging and vommitting for the first time in TOO LONG! I'll never take it for granted again. Now I can get back to playing with my 3 year old instead of saying yes to everything so he'll leave me alone lol!
@tiffanylea0320 So glad you have some relief. You sound like how I was with my second pregnancy (it was a boy!). We were in the process of buying my dream house, and when we were touring it the woman said, "are you so excited?" And in all seriousness I looked at her and said, "No. I hate life." I was SO miserable lol. So I am glad you have had at least ONE good day. Hopefully more to come. If my nausea ramps up anymore I might ask my doctor about that since you speak so highly of it!
First time IVF mom here! Currently 6w+4d and this past week I was very nauseous but it’s calmed down these past 2 days. Psychologically being nauseous makes me think things are going well so now that I’m not, I’m really nervous. Has anyone had symptoms go away?
@crookshanks10 I had the same thing! 8w6D here, and my symptoms just completely disappeared a couple of days ago. First pregnancy here too, so the lack of symptoms freaked me out, but we just had our first US, and everything was perfect.
@heyahelmett I’m so glad your US went great! Did you happen to ask your doctor about your symptoms leaving? I’ve read things on both sides but I’m so nervous for my US Monday!
The heightened sense of smell and stronger food aversions started in the past couple days. I feel like I can smell every piece of trash in this city when I'm on my commute haha. I normally don't like tomatoes and peppers much but can deal, but we had salad catered at work the other day with peppers in it and the smell was sooooo strong to me it had me nearly gagging.
@crookshanks10 I asked about the disappearance of symptoms, and he just said that some people's symptoms disappear earlier, depending on how fast your body gets used to the hormones.
@crookshanks10 This is my 4th pregnancy, 2 successful, 1 loss and currently cooking #4. It is VERY normal for symptoms to come and go. There is really no way for you to know if the symptoms leaving is a sign that your body is regulating or that your hormone levels are decreasing, but in no way is a disappearing symptom a sign that something is definitely wrong. Basically, try to assume the best until you have a reason to assume the worst because in pregnancy, every singe one is different.
I know several people have mentioned the Unisom and B6 thing in place of Diclegis. Just thought I’d add to that train of thought. I asked my doctor for a script yesterday and she said she actually prefers patients try the OTC option first, before sending the script. So, if you were worried about efficacy or something, that’s the word from the horses mouth. 👍🏼
Hi ya’ll! 5w4d, been having lower abdominal cramps since last week (about 3w6d). No bleeding or spotting at all. They are everyday off and on throughout the day and night, feel like period type cramps. Lower back pain started this week too. But oh man, I wake up in the middle of the night with excruciating cramps (sometimes pee, fart, or sudden BM then the pain is gone). OB isn’t concerned, thinks it’s GI issues possibly being exacerbated by pregnancy. But I don’t have any other symptoms...no nausea, no breast pain. I’m sleepy by the end of the day but not crazy fatigued. So I’m over here losing my mind worrying that I’m going to have a MC bc if all this crazy cramping and the wait till first US is killing me! 😩😩😩
