@emeraldcity603 No, you are not alone! I have the worst
food aversions still! Seriously thinking about any food makes me want to throw
up. I normally love candy too and I haven’t touched any of the leftover
Halloween treats. It’s bizarre.
@runyogamom We had our Thanksgiving meal at work today too. Sorry, but your sadness over you small pumpkin pie piece made me laugh. I would be mad as hell too!

@emeraldcity603 I don't have a complete food aversion, but I do normally have a huge sweet tooth and I just have not been interested in desserts at all. And I can only eat things that I'm absolutely in the mood for, but it's definitely not consistent. I'm just happy this week that I've been excited about eating some salad, so I've finally been able to consume some freaking veggies!
@emeraldcity603 Me too! The food aversions are awful. Normally, I can't eat anything except one or two things that sound good. It isn't as bad as last time though. Last time I literally went to the grocery store three times a day so that I could eat and drink anything at all.
I hate my cat again. I don't want her anywhere near me and I find her completely disgusting. Anyone else get this way? I know it's a pregnancy thing. Hated her for awhile in first tri last time.

I told one of my son’s nursery school teachers that I was pregnant, and she said “I know, I could tell.” WTF? Was she just saying this? Or maybe my usual bloat looks like a bump? Lol I’m all freaked out wondering who else is thinking I’m pregnant behind my back 😂
@luckystar28 when I told my boss she was like I know, I've known for about 4 weeks. (I was only like 6 weeks at the time and told her because of my MS.) I was like well then you have known longer than me! I think people just like to say the knew.
Today after turning down a free beer I had a woman nearby tell me about how she really wished she'd just had her first child 8 years ago and regretted her two year old. Guess it's better to vent things like that to strangers than friends or family lol
@luckystar28 I had a lady ask me to help her lift a chair and then she followed it up with, "oh, you shouldn't be lifting anything if you're pregnant." I was shocked and said, "do I look pregnant because I most certainly am not?" This was a month before I found out I was pregnant. Who does that? Don't ever make a comment like that unless I tell you I'm pregnant or I am actually in labor.
Food aversion: meat of any kind but shrimp is a big no for me. DH made a steak last night and I wasnt sure I was going to make it through dinner.

I'm stuck in the quote box
My jaw dropped reading this. She must have a very strong willed child.
@emeraldcity603 thinking of chinese food makes me want to ralph and i definitely feel more ambivalent towards food in general. Dont want to eat anything out of lack of cravings.... but yesterday we got a rotisserie chicken and made chickennsalad sandwiches for lunch and omg amazing...
God help me, this head cold that my oldest gave me is going to be the death of me. I can’t breathe and that, combined with pregnancy insomnia that’s setting in, means I’m not sleeping. I am so miserable and there’s basically nothing that’s actually effective that I’m allowed to take. This sucks.

@messymyranda lol. That’s kinda funny. Weird but funny. Pretty sure I got outed this week. My boss said you haven’t been very social meaning I haven’t been closing out the bars with him like usual at work events. Oh well
@KissMeImScottish ugh I'm sorry I'm an insomniac here this time around, I can't imagine what that with a head cold could feel like! Netflix has been my bff lately
@amaren-2 no worries you're not alone! this is the first time experiencing it and I can say it doesn't help any of my other symptoms. I really hope its not like this the whole time
It is manageable for me if I don't get woken up at night. But I got up to go pee and noticed DH wasn't in bed. He had gotten up to take care of the whining dog and fell asleep on the couch. That was at 2am. Closing in on 5am and I have a full day of work and mommying. I'm about ready to punch DH awake, but he has two big meetings today so I'd feel guilty.
@KissMeImScottish I got a Neti Pot last time I was pregnant since I couldn't take any good decongestants. It took a couple of tries to get over the weird/gross factor, but it helped soooooo much! I also got the Neti wash, and I don't know if it was actually magical or placebo effect, but every time I felt a cold coming on, I would use it and it would usually stop it from progressing.

@KissMeImScottish ugh right there with ya. Mines turning into more of a cough and last night I couldn’t stop coughing and I was just certain I was going to puke from coughing. Nausea and a cough is a terrible combo! Plus a headache and I have no faith in Tylenol for headaches.
@shamrocandroll, I swear by the Neti Pot. Will be pulling mine out later today, for sure. It’s the only thing that seems to touch this kind of thing when I’m pregnant.
@ShadeofGreen816, ugh, I’m sorry you’re in this Hell, too. It’s in my lungs too as of this morning. I’ve been coughing over the sink all morning because I can feel the gunk in there and it keeps sending me into a fit that I’m sure is going to make me puke. I hope you feel better soon!

Am I the only one still suffering from food aversions? I have zero appetite for anything. Nothing sounds good and I just make a decision to eat whatever is the least unappealing and hope I can get it down. I normally have a huge sweet tooth but they don't sound good at all.
Nope, not alone at all.
I've been sticking with bread (toast), eggs, plain yogurt, Babybels and fruit - they're the only things that don't make me throw up in my mouth.
Though, I will have moments where I think pizza or a cheeseburger are great ideas but I get over them within 5 mins.
@sparklingdiamond - I stopped my progesterone at 10 weeks per doctor's instructions. And I feel like some of my preg symptoms (mainly excessive heartburn) actually eased-up a bit after stopping it, which was awesome!
@Dcwtada - So sorry to hear about your pup! Hope he recovers soon.
I had several different dreams about having to go pee last night. There was one dream in particular where I was debating waking up to go to the bathroom or staying asleep - myself in my dream told myself to wake up and just go already. If that makes any sense whatsoever.
Sleepless nights are wreaking havoc for me too. Up between 2 and 4 most nights. Between peeing or just waking up for no reason during the week its been the worst.
Random food aversions and cravings over here too! I managed to meal plan this week by getting ingredients that could go in a few options, but it's still kind of a moving target.
Happened to look at my prenatal vitamin this morning and noticed it has 4000 IU of vitamin A as retinyl palmitate...exactly the thing I thought we were supposed to be avoiding in moisturizers and such. WTF? Now trying to figure out if I should be switching vitamins, or if this means the lipstick I actually did like (but has traces of retinyl palmitate in it, so I haven't worn it since my BFP) is ok after all. Being KU is confusing.
So I have mentioned before that my daughter was diagnosed with CDH. I was in some CDH groups on FB and there is so much freaking drama. I had a not so great experience with a CDH specialist that everyone loves. So whenever I try to share my experience I get attacked. It's so frustrating. I left the groups altogether the other day .
Would anyone be interested in a thread about Thanksgiving? I'm currently planning our friendsgiving menu and need some ideas! (MS so does not help with menu planning, let me tell you.)
(Not sure if this is the right place to pose the question, but happy to go with the majority opinion!)
@sparklingdiamond I am sorry. I wish people realized everyone has different experiences. I had to leave one of my TTTS groups for a similar reason. I will say once I left, it was a weight lifted off my shoulders.

So stinking nauseated all night last night and this morning. I’ve managed to eat strawberries and a string cheese. Ugh.
I feel bad because our house is in shambles and I can barely get off the couch. DD is in the same pajamas now for going on almost 48 hours. We haven’t left the house since Wednesday morning.
I did manage to clean/organize her play room this morning though. It took almost three hours. I should have taken a before photo. I have a huge donate pile! Whew! Just in time for Christmas before her grandparents get her stuff she doesn’t need. Pics in spoilers because this is the only thing I’ve managed in about 4 weeks, besides putting up our Christmas tree.

@meatballs37 love your playroom Is that in the basement? Ours is half and half for the first time and the extra space is a lifesaver. It now houses my husbands office
it is! We live in a cute 1940’s cape cod and half the basement was recently finished before we moved in. We were stoked to turn it into a play area to toss all the toys. The other side has a tv and couch for us adults.

We have a playroom but it's small. And I don't enjoy sitting in it all evening and DS won't play in there by himself yet so half the stuff is in our living room. I'm too lazy to care. And to tired lately to move the stuff back to the playroom that should go back.
@meatballs37 Super jealous of your daughter's adorable play room! My kids' toys are all over the house and it makes me crazy. It doesn't help that they share a room, so there is only one closet for all their stuff.
@ruby696 we struggle with closet space here too (older home problems). If we didn’t have the basement, we would be screwed.
Tell ya what, when I get into that wonderful 2nd trimester nesting phase, you bet! Lol gosh, I hope I get to that phase. I remember getting so much done during my 2nd tri with DD.
