    Do you have a therapist that you're seeing? Seeing a therapist helps me process things when I'm feeling low or overwhelmed.

  • @cmjenkies that sounds exhausting and demoralizing. Depression is just so terribly hard. We’re all here for you during this time. This too shall pass. 
  • PS I’ve had full on breakdowns every time I’ve moved. It kicks my anxiety into high gear like nothing else. It’s just so so so much harder than people let on that it is, and so when you’re in it, it can really feel like you’re totally alone. But the good thing about moving is that it has an endpoint. One way or another, with the help of friends and family and sleepless nights, it gets done, and then it’s over with. No one ever says: oh yeah, I tried to move, but I just couldn’t. 
  • @jessier19 moving is awful! When we bought our house I was like this is it, I'm spending the next 50 years here. But you are so right, you do it, it's awful, and then it's done! (Expect those three boxes tucked away a year later that I just don't want to bother with.....)

  • @cmjenkies I’m so sorry you’re going through that.  I’ve dealt with depression and anxiety and it can be crushing sometimes.

    please talk to your doctor and maybe seek out some talk therapy...it has helped me tremendously.  I also recommend some east meditations...there’s an app I use called simple habit.  Really short and simple meditations for different situations.  Moving is stressful period and on top of everything else it just too much.  Can I recommend maybe a company that packs for you? I know it can be costly but sometimes your mental sanity is way worth it.  I can’t stand cleaning and my husband gets really agitated about the house being a mess so I hired a cleaning lady every two weeks...

    Talking about it, even here, is a great release too

  • @cmjenkies thinking about you - I had some savage prenatal depression a few weeks ago (lasted most of weeks 6-11), but I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety my whole life. I would also suggest talking with your doctor - there are a lot of safe medication options that can be helpful in combination with therapy. We’ll be thinking about you ❤️
  • @cmjenkies I’m sorry you’re dealing with all this. I also have a hard time accepting this pregnancy and went to my appt yesterday expecting not to hear a HB bc of previous losses. But I did and everything is fine. What you are feeling is crappy but normal and as you can see you have a lot of support here for you!

    @cmjenkies Thinking of you!! Depression is absolutely no joke and that is a whole lot of stuff going on at once. Please don’t hesitate to talk to your doctor. They may be able to get you some help! *hugs*

  • @cmjenkies I had to move when I was pregnant with DD during the first tri, it was brutal. The bright side is that once it’s over with you’ll feel better. Hang in there!

    None of my pants fit anymore, so I caved and bought two maternity leggings. It’s been hot lately so I’ve been getting away with flowy dresses and skirts, but it’s supposed to get cooler and rainy soon.

    I also got two camisoles and a couple nursing bras. Hopefully my boobs will stay roughly the same size so I can use them for actual nursing too and not just for extra preg support!

  • @grebretso My jeans don't fit anymore, either. I'm thinking I'll head out to Target and maybe Gap after work today to find a pair of maternity jeans with the little stretchy side panels. It's hot AF down here in Georgia, but the thermostat in my office says it's currently 71 degrees in here. I need dark wash jeans STAT.
    I hate jean shopping when I'm my normal size, so I've got to prepare myself for what could very well be hell.

  • The taco salad I had for lunch was so good, I want another one. Now. However the cookie in the breakroom will probably have to do! Baby is hungry.

    @Venessa88 Same. I’m especially annoyed at coworkers who keep calling in sick for dumb reasons. Someone literally called in because of a stuffy nose last week, and today someone’s out because their therapy appointment yesterday made them exhausted. Really? And here I am, picking up the slack while puking in the work bathroom. Oh and my nose has been stuffy for weeks. I know they don’t know I’m pregnant, but I hope that once they know, they’ll feel bad about leaving me to do all their work.

    @cmjenkies something to help is meditation. It calms your mind down. 10mins a day would do wonders. I'm not sure how much of this saying is true, but my mum says what you feel it might effect the baby and to be happy. It's hard, but once you force yourself to take steps to get out of it you will get there. 'Ke sera sera, whatever will be will be' i

  • @Venessa88 and @grebretso I work at a library, and twice in the last two weeks the librarian who usually opens the library called me at 6:30 AM to say he felt unwell because of allergies, and could I open the library instead. This is the same one who said that he could tell I was pregnant "because of fluid retention in my face". 
    He called in sick again this morning. 

  • @Venessa88 same! I'm beyond glad to be working from home tomorrow because just the sound of my supervisor's voice annoys me. 
  • I too am in a rage concerning certain coworkers.

  • Glad you agree, @grebretso . And even if did affect the baby, why point it out? It was all a mess and telling someone to buck up and meditate is the dumbest shit I've read all day. It actually fires me up and I don't care if this is snarky.

    Meditation does help with depression, as I've been there. Also i did mention I wasnt sure how true it is about feelings effecting the baby. And neither did I say to be happy but did say to try and take steps to overcome it. Anyway peace ..
