@eireyes It's crazy! I have felt him since 15 weeks and I can see it from the outside for the last two weeks as well. The cervix thing is not cool. It feels so friggin weird.

  • @bundleofjoy3iluvu I didn’t have RLS, but it came up recently with friends and one of the older ladies swears by eating mustard. I have no idea why, but she said it helps a ton.

Re working from home - our company didn’t have a policy either. I got back to the office after one of my appointments where I talked to my dr about it (she offered to write me out right then, but also said if I wanted to she would be ok with me doing part time at home and part time in the office) and told my boss the situation.  They generally didn’t allow working from home, but also didn’t want to lose me immediately, so they agreed to 3 days at home and 2 in the office.  I only managed that for maybe 3-4 weeks before we realized I was contracting on the way home and an hour at home only on days I was at work. Dr pulled me out right then.  I had a feeling it was coming and told my boss what was going on so they were prepared.

Sometimes when their only other option is that you’ll be pulled from work early, the company suddenly allows you to work from home.  Of course, you have to be willing to have them say no and you start your leave early, which usually requires a dr note, so it may not apply, but maybe it can help some of you with no work-from-home policies.

  • Oh no! It sucks when you're both feeling opposite. My DH has been very patient with the fact that he's lucky if he gets it once a week.
  • @SawyerRichardson I hope it ends up being true! How this kid turns out is pretty much a crap shoot. I was VERY easy going, but a picky eater and terrible sleeper, but also never got in trouble. My husband was more whiny, eats everything, falls asleep in 20 seconds, but was a troublemaker. Just praying she gets the best qualities of both!

Oh kiwi! I'm sorry, what about positions where your belly isn't in the way? From behind on your side, doggystyle, multiple other positions I'm drawing a blank on. Hope you have a good vibrator for the time being at least
  • @kiwi2628 Do you think he's not attracted to pregnant women or is it possible he's scared to hurt the baby. Some men can't get over that no matter how much you tell them sex is safe. My H was terrified in the beginning of my pregnancy with Z. This time he was fine until a week or so ago. Now he's afraid to break my water.

Might be nice to take the super loving and doting for a few months?

Trying to look on the bright side, @kiwi2628
  • @hannaht8516 I hope that’s true! FTM here and I have been shocked at how active this kid is. Some of his kicks hurt already and I’m only 24 wks tomorrow! As much as I love feeling him move, I honestly don’t know how I’ll survive the next 16 or so weeks.
  • @mamabearcj Go look! Lol. BRU used to email you exactly what was purchased. Everyone got mad at me as the shower when I was like "I wondered who bought this/that." "You looked?!" No guys, the dumb store told on you. Not my fault! Lol

  • I love stalking my registry, though not much is gone. I think my friends are all going to get stuff from work, which is cute and all, but it's not what I need!

People out here shop wayyyyy last minute. We're going to a wedding on July 15th, and almost the entire registry is still available.
  • @hannaht8516 Don’t count on it! My 2 were super active and not great sleepers.  They finally slept through the night at 18 months old.  MH said we paid the price early because once they started sleeping through the night, they were great.  So many people that had babies that slept started complaining about their toddlers/preschoolers being up at night.

  • @sliztee - Christmas Shopping!  What an excellent idea!   It would be great to get that done before the holidays!   Maybe even get the cards addressed!
  • @kiwi2628 I'm in the same boat. I went through it when I was pregnant with DS but it didn't bother me as much because we had other issues going on at the time. This time around want it all the time and SO is just not into it. Its frustrating for sure!

I've checked the registry.... because my mom was going to buy me a carseat and went rogue and didn't buy off the registry. So someone else did, right before my mom. So now i have 2, and need to return one, whenever I actually get them. Presumably it was my MIL since DH had just told her about the registry, and I don't know many people who are gonna shell out the $$$ for the uppababy carseat.

Eta: I'm very fortunate I have some loving family members willing to spend money on me, but dang it, this is why I needed to keep the registry private before it was complete!

@hannaht8516 that would totally stress me out that no invited were sent! But my mom sent out invites over a month ago and my shower is the end of August..
  • @kiwi2628 I had the same problem last time. DH actually is one of those guys that is *thrilled* when I look cutely pregnant, but physically feeling baby move while we are being intimate can get the better of him. It took me awhile to get him to admit it. Unfortunately I have little advice other than use all the affection and attention he gives to your advantage, and sometimes it helps lead into sex. I also agree with positions where he won't be able to feel baby move against him as easily.

+1 to a crazy active baby equalling a crazy active toddler. He moved non stop in utero, and he was so big, my stomach often resembled an alien movie. He was an amazingly calm, lovey baby that cried very little (but still woke to eat every 2-4 hours forever lol) but when he slept, he slept well. Once he could crawl/walk/run/climb things, he just literally never stops moving. He is an insanely high energy kid, and even though he sleeps decent, he even moves a ton in his sleep.

@mytrueloves I think it was you that said you pissed your pants a few pages back. Baby kick your bladder? That has happened to me out of the blue because baby kicking my bladder. Thankfully it wasn't usually my whole bladder so panty liners were my savior for awhile!
  • @mamabearcj I know! Luckily, this one is really just family and family friends, so I'm sure it's fine. But dang, it's cutting it close. I think she cut it close for my wedding shower too.... She said she can finish them tonight and get them out tomorrow. I hope!

    @hannaht8516 fingers crossed for you!!
  • @knottieamusements Hahaha! See! You get it.

  • Re @bundleofjoy3iluvu and others with restless legs: Iron is one common cause. Pre-pregnancy iron was always my issues. Frosted mini wheats have a ton of iron. Eating a ton of those everyday kept RLS away. But pregnant with DS, my iron was fine and my mini wheats weren’t cutting it. I asked my doc and she said magnesium. That did the trick.
  • Wow everyone here is seriously chatty today! 51 new posts since like 10am (pacific time)!

@kiwi2628 ugh sorry about your DH! That sucks big time. I have the opposite problem sometimes, DH gets super turned on by me being pregnant, and sometimes he wants it when I’m just tired!  Luckily my drive has been pretty constant so far, but I still get tired a lot!

Had my next regular appt today and they gave me the info about my glucose test. So not excited for that because I hate fasting! I’m one of those people who needs breakfast to function, so I don’t know how I’m going to manage fasting, then drinking the drink and still not eating for another two hours! Also my OB apparently does a 2 hour version for everyone right off the bat, which is not cool. I just had to do the 1 hour version when I was pregnant with DS, so I was expecting that again, but now I have to do a 2 hour version with three blood draws! Ugh!
  • @kiwi2628 YES! That's what I've been needing too! Like...on demand.
  • @kiwi2628 That’s what I need too! And my man’s been working late and so tired lately that we’ve only had lazy sex.
  • Ugh I wish a good hard pounding sounded good. It's all too tight and low in there it hurts.
  • @kiwi2628 - that makes perfect sense. I hope you (and everyone else) are able to get things sorted out with your partners.  Because, yeah, not getting some when there is a libido mismatch sucks.
