Tell me your thoughts on Carly. DH and I both like it (pretty much all we can agree on), but I've been hesitant to pull the trigger because I don't think it sounds very formal for when she would be an adult applying for formal jobs and raises and stuff. Am I crazy?
And no, we cannot agree on any other form like Carla, Carlynn, Carolyn, etc.
I told DH I'm on board with Carly now, and he said actually now he has been thinking about Corinne which is one that I had wanted and he wasn't sure about.
So I guess two possible names are better than none lol. Thanks everyone for your input!
We have been thinking about the name Seraphine Alia. First girl she will have 4 older brothers. Siblings names are Mitchel Parker, Leland Kale, Owen Blayne, and Wyatt Matthew
Still nameless over here if this baby is a girl! We have settled on a boy name (I think) . My top votes are Caroline and Evelyn but DH likes Paige. Nowhere close to agreeing
@nursemom913 I like all of those names, but especially Evelyn - you could call her Evie when she's little which is so cute!
We're also still undecided, DH suggested Alejandro - how do you all feel about it? I'm worried my non-Spanish speaking parents won't be able to deal, but maybe I'm overthinking it?
@nursemom913- personally I’m partial to Evelyn or Caroline over Paige, so I’m with you!
@eggsandwich2019- if you and hubby like it, I think grandparent opinion doesn’t matter!
i am having a boy and struggling with names! So many seem so common (my DH is a Michael) so we def want something a little less common, but not too different. Our top 4 are Austin, Elliot, Bryson and Garret. Any thoughts on those?

@eggsandwich2019 Love Alejandro! Was on our list as well. I know an Alejandro who goes by Alex for short mostly with his non-Spanish speaking side of the fam.
@JamieH2000 I like Elliot or Garrett- both sweet names.
@eggsandwich2019 My husband is an Alejandro that goes by Alex to the majority of the world. I’ve only heard his mom call him Alejandro 3 times. She was yelling for all 3. 😂
Thanks for all the feedback ladies! Very much appreciated! I may be leaning towards Elliot with all the votes for that one, and Eli would be a nice nickname!

I wanted a gender neutral name, not super popular, and not douchey sounding. Apparently, that's too tall an order. The list as it is now (and I want to just pick from a fucking hat):
Adrian (ey- dree-uh n) Thomas Chiron (kahy-ron) Thomas Galen (gey-luh n) Thomas Ashley (ash-lee) Thomas
Any thoughts?
“My darling girl, when are you going to realize that being normal is not necessarily a virtue? It rather denotes a lack of courage." - Aunt Frances”
I like adrian and galen! I mean they are all nice, those two are my fav!
we have a list of girl names, cant decide on two names that we both love. We need them to flow too. I like hailey and natalie, Vanessa and Amy, or Victoria and Ainsley. But DH isnt set on any of them. He likes them but they arent “the ones”. So we will see. I wish it was easier.
@cali1710 we had so much trouble naming the boys. I had one that I was set on (Benjamin David) and luckily DH got on board with it. The second one was a nightmare. We finally agreed on Eli, then it was do we go with just Eli or name him Elijah with the nn Eli. After that, it was his middle name. We took 3 with us to the hospital and when we filled out the birth certificate DH just told me to pick. So he ended up being Eli William. I love the way their names go together. But don't get me started on how we ended up figuring out who was Ben and who was Eli! You'll find the right ones and I'm sure they'll be awesome!
@bellebaby221 that's how my DH and I are too with boy names. Luca was so perfect for our first son but now we're struggling with more names for another boy! I really like Leo but DH is lukewarm on it and we can't really agree on much else.
Does anyone feel like all the best names have been taken by friends or family? I think it might just be a side effect of having a kid at 42, but- looking at my friends and even family - everyone else’s kids have all my favorite boy names!
@sjnsjnsjn luckily I’m having a boy, and all my cousins have had girls beside one! The boy is named Erik, which I obviously wouldn’t pick because H’s name is Eric. I’m the first of my siblings and friends to have a baby too, so I’ll be the one hogging all the good names.

@grebretso - hey one person can cover good ground. One of my dearest friends, and the provider to me of 9 million hand me downs and generally the most generous mama I know IRL, has sons named Max, Luke, and Henry, three of my very favorite names. I mean, what a name hog! ;p
Re: The Great Name Thread!
And no, we cannot agree on any other form like Carla, Carlynn, Carolyn, etc.

All family names which I LOVE
Still have not nailed down girl names as much as I’d like.
I’m so ambivalent right now about all of this.
